Day 30 - The Daily Marker Thirty Day Colouring Challenge #thedailymarker30day

It's the last day of "The Daily Marker Thirty Day Colouring Challenge".

I am one of those people that when I set my mind on something like a challenge, that I generally see it through to the end.  But I am glad that I have managed to do all thirty days as November has been a busy month of makes with Design Team work and several occasions to make cards for.

For my card, I have used a Penny Black stamp called "Caroling Bunch - 1867K" which is part of the year 2000 Margaret Sherry Collection. I've coloured the stamped Versafine Ink image with water colour pencils.

Friday 29 November 2019

Day 29 - The Daily Marker Thirty Day Colouring Challenge #thedailymarker30day

It's the penultimate day of "The Daily Marker Thirty Day Challenge".

For my Day 29 card, I have used a Penny Black 2006 stamped image called "Snow Trot - 3540H", stamped in Versafine Ink.  I have coloured the image using water colour pencils and popped it onto an embossed bubble background, using a Crafter's Companion "Scattered Dots" embossing folder.

Design Team Project for "My Time To Craft Challenge Blog" #411 - "Christmas Scene"

There is a new challenge theme on the "My Time To Craft Challenge Blog".  Challenge #411 has a theme of "Christmas Scene". This is the card that I made to help promote the challenge as part of the Design Team.

For the background, I repeat stamped a Lavinia Stamps "Christmas Words" stamp in Versafine Clair "Medieval Blue".  I used the same ink to stamp the main image.  I don't recall who makes this stamp as I have had it for some years.  I coloured the star with Distress Oxide Ink in a shade called "Wild Honey".

Visible Image - Erika's Maple Card #erikasmaple

This evening, I've had an opportunity to play with another one of my new stamp sets from Visible Image.  This time I've used "Erika's Maple".  This stamp set was made in memory of fellow crafter Erika Philpott, who was a huge fan of Visible Image products.

I used a background of swooshed Distress Oxide Inks in the following colours:  Ripe Persimmon, Fossilized Amber and Mustard Seed.

I stamped the large maple leaf in the middle of the card.  I then stamped the rays around the top of the leaf.  This stamp is from another Visible Image stamp set called "Set The Tone" stamped in Versafine Clair "Chianti" ink.

I used the same ink to stamp the dots on the lower half of the card.  The dot stamp is also part of the Visible Image "Set The Tone" stamp set.

I painted Distress Oxide "Aged Mahogany" ink between the rays and then added a shimmer by using a gold Sakura Gelly Roll pen.

In the lower left hand corner of the card, I have stamped a Visible Image sentiment "Picking Up Th Pieces" which is part of the "Don't Judge" stamp set, stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink.

Using a paint brush, I painted the leaf in a selection of Distress Oxide inks:  Mowed Lawn, Wild Honey, Fired Brick and Candied Apple.

Funky Fossil - Black Friday 20% Discount Code

It's Black Friday and Funky Fossil Designs are offering a fabulous 20% off all products when you use this voucher code "SAVE20" between the hours of 8am Friday 29th November and midnight Monday 2nd December.

I made this card using an assortment of Funky Fossil products.

I started by putting some "Antique Linen" Distress Oxide Inks onto my craft mat and spritzing with a little water.  I then swooshed my plain card through the ink in different directions to coat the card.

I did the same using "Shabby Shutters" Distress Oxide Inks, filling the remaining white areas using a paint brush.  This provided a lovely mottled aged look for the background.

I masked the coloured area with the Funky Fossil "Crackle Background" stencil and used "Pumice Stone" Distress Oxide ink through the stencil with a blending tool.  I only coloured the corners and the very edge of the area, leaving the middle clear for stamping later.

I removed the crackle stencil and replaced it with another Funky Fossil stencil called "Holly Wreath".  At first I used a shade of Distress Oxide called "Peeled Paint" through the stencil, but it looked too dull, so I went over it with another Distress Oxide Ink called "Mowed Lawn" which I was happier with.

I then moved on to the central area of the card.  I decided to use the sentiment from the Funky Fossil "Fa La La" clear stamp set.  I stamped the "Merry Christmas" section of the sentiment in Versafine Clair "Chianti" dark red ink.  The small holly branch above and below, I stamped in Versafine Clair "Shady Lane" green ink.

To finish the card, I added some gold dots around the central sentiment and added some holly berries using Liquid Pearls in a shade called "Ruby Red".

Visible Image - Stay Wild clear stamp set

Visible Image have a fabulous "Black Friday Sale" on at the moment with up to a massive 70% off, so of course I had to take advantage of such a great offer.

I had remembered that last year they had a similar offer, so I have held off buying their more recent designs in the hope they may be reduced.  My patience was worth the wait, as you can see from the photo of my purchases below.  Fortunately, Hubby has two expensive hobbies, so I didn't feel the need to justify the spend.

I had a little window of crafting opportunity today, so made a quick card with a Brusho turquoise coloured background I had made previously.

I decided to use the Visible Image - Stay Wild set, that I had purchased earlier in the week.  I stamped the main horse image in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.

Using the same ink, I stamped the lower section of the sentiment, using the "Don't let them tame you" section of the stamp at the top of the card.

I wanted to break some of the Brusho turquoise background out, so used a white Posca pen to add some lighter areas.

In the Visible Image "Mythical Mermaid" stamp set, there is a border section that says water and bubbles to me, so I stamped that along the bottom of the card and partially up the side.  I coloured the bubbles in two shades of blue Posca Pen.  I also used a silver sparkle Signo pen to add a different colour to lift the water spray.

Day 28 - The Daily Marker Thirty Day Colouring Challenge #thedailymarker30day

The end of "The Daily Marker Thirty Day Colouring Challenge" is in sight, just two more and then it is done and dusted.  As you may have noticed, I don't follow the daily prompts.  Today is brown and I don't really do brown, so I've used colours that please me.

I decided to opt for a tag today and this one I've created screams Christmas to me, which makes me happy.

I started off by using a stamped image from a Penny Black wood mounted stamp called "Joy! - 2258K" which was a 2001 Donna Klotzie design.  I stamped the image in Versafine and coloured it with Distress Oxide Inks.

I used a Distress Oxide Ink called "Pine Needles' to colour the edges.  I then popped an "Andy Skinnner - Tornado Stencil" over the top and using a wet wipe, removed some of the ink, which gave the lovely swirl look in the background.

Finally, I used some white Gesso on a fan brush and gently tapped the brush so that droplets fell on to the tag to replicate snow.  A red ribbon finishes the tag beautifully.

Funky Fossil MDF Shabby Chic looking House and Stag Tag

I've been playing with some Funky Fossil MDF shapes to create this house shaped hanging decoration/tag.

I had the remains of an old paint tester pot in pale blue, so I painted the "Funky Fossil MDF Hanging Decoration" and left it to dry.

While the house shape was drying, I coated the "Funky Fossil MDF Stag shape" with PVA glue (applied with a finger), then sprinkled Cosmic Shimmer "Golden Sand" glitter over it and left it to dry.

Returning to the now dry pale blue MDF house shape, I placed a "Funky Fossil Snow Flurry Stencil" over the shape and brushed a white acrylic paint over the stencil, which left a snowflake background detail.  I set aside the piece to dry.

Once dry, I decided the blue paint looked too perfect, so I used a brown coloured Arteza Brush Pen to add a more distressed look to the edges of the house shape.

At this stage, I decided I wanted the heart shape to look warmer, so I adhered a piece of pinky/coral coloured paper to the back of the house shape.

I then added some Lavinia Stamps "Holographic Moon Dust" over some dots of PVA glue.  While the PVA was out, I adhered the glittered stag shape on to the house too.

Day 27 - The Daily Marker Thirty Day Colouring Challenge #thedailymarker30day

This is my card for Day 27 of "The Daily Marker Thirty Day Challenge".  I've used a Penny Black stamped image from their "Relax and Enjoy" clear stamp set.  Stamped in Versafine ink and coloured with Distress Oxide Inks.

Lavinia Stamps Raven - Birthday Card

My friend celebrates her birthday later this week.  Some months ago, when she was looking at the cards that I had made, she commented on how she liked the Lavinia Stamps "Rory & Darcy" and that if I made a birthday card for her, could I include them on it.  Fast forward six months and i've created what she asked for.  Hope she likes it.

For this card, I used a gel plate background that I had created some time ago, with a blue and mauve colours.

I started stamping the bottom green area, using the "Ivy Border Stamp" stamped one row on top of the other using Versafine Clair "Verdant" green ink.

I then stamped the "Sacred Spells" verse in the background using Versafine "Smokey Gray" ink, I stamped it three times across the card. At this stage, I masked off a spot light/moon area using Versafine Clair "Charming Pink" shade of ink.

Using Versafine Clair "Fantasia" purple ink, I stamped "Raven" on her branch the  extra branches using the"Tree Branch" and the "Birds".

I used the "Fairy Barnacle" stamp, stamped at the base of the card using Versafine Clair "Charming Pink" ink.  I then stamped the "Fern Heads" in Versafine Clair "Shady Lane" green ink.

I stamped the "Rory and Darcy (the set)" characters, standing on the Fern Heads.  I stamped Rory and Darcy in Versafine Clair "Fantasia" purple ink.  Using the same ink, I stamped the "Climbing Ivy" in the bottom right hand corner.

Using Versafine Clair "Purple Delight" shade of ink (which is more pink than purple), I stamped the "Star Burst" pods.  I used the same ink to edge the card with.

Finally, I used a white and a silver glitter Signo pen to add highlight areas.  I also used Lavinia Stamps "Holographic Moon Dust" to areas of the fairy wings and the Star Burst Pods to add sparkle to the card.

Day 25 - The Daily Marker Thirty Day Colouring Challenge #thedailymarker30day

This is my Day 25 make for "The Daily Marker Thirty Day Colouring Challenge".

I've used a Penny Black image from their "Mocha Moments" clear stamp set, stamped in Versafine "Smokey Gray" ink.  I coloured the image with Distress Oxide Inks applied with a paint brush.

Stampers Anonymous - "Mini Holidays 4" Christmas Card

I recently purchased a Stamper's Anonymous cling stamp set called "Mini Holidays 4 - CMS142" and it arrived today, so I had to try one of the stamps out immediately, making this very quick card.

I stamped the camel image in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink and created the landscape using Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink and the torn edge of a piece of copy paper to create the landscape the camel trio stand on.

I die cut the central image and then mat and layered it in black.

I like the starkness of the card and the fact that there is no sentiment.  The image says it all to me.

Sunday 24 November 2019

Day 24 - The Daily Marker Thirty Day Colouring Challenge #thedailymarker30day

Day 24 of "The Daily Marker Thirty Day Colouring Challenge".

I used a Hero Arts stamped image called "Santa's Elves Stamp & Cut - DC160", coloured with Arteza Brush Pens.

I used the "Broken China" Distress Oxide ink through a Funky Fossil "Nordic Star" stencil for the background.

Week 48 - 52 Week Mini Art Card / Tag Challenge 2019

The prompt for Week 48 is "Party Season".  With Christmas just around the corner, it is officially party season!

For my tag, I used inks on a brayer and sprinkled Brusho over to create the speckled background effect, at the same time I added Cosmic Shimmer "Rich Gold" Pixie Powder.  I also splattered some white Gesso across the tag.

Using various old stamps, I stamped the purple diamond pattern from top to bottom.  I used another stamp for the red dots.

Using Black Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink I stamped the party hat which is part of the Stampers Anonymous "Mini Blueprints 2 - CMS146".

Using the same ink, I stamped the word "invitation" which is part of a Rubbadubbadoo stamp set.  I then stamped the word "Celebrate".  I bought this stamp set second hand, so I have no idea who made it.

Finally, I inked the edges of the tag black.

Art Impressions - Girlfriends, Chocolate Therapy Birthday Card

I've not made one of these Art Impression "Girlfriends" cards for a while and decided it would be an ideal image for a family member who celebrates her birthday this week.

I stamped the image, (Art Impressions "Girlfriends" Chocolate Therapy - AICS28) in Versafine "Smokey Gray" ink.

I used a selection of Distress Oxide Inks applied with a paint brush, along with a couple of Sakura Gelly Roll Pens.

~~~
For this card, I have used one of the Funky Fossil Designs October new release clear stamp sets called "Sew Lovely" on a "Knitted Background Stencil".
I started by blending "Cracked Pistachio" Distress Oxide on white cardstock.
I then used the "Knitted Background Stencil" with "Weathered Wood" Distress Oxide Inks and a blending tool to create the grey knit stitch pattern over the green background.  I then die cut this into a circle with a stitched edge detail to the die cut.
Using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink, I stamped the "Sew Happy For You" sentiment, which is part of the "Sew Lovely" clear stamp set.
On a plain piece of white card, I used a blender and "Weathered Wood" Distress Oxide and adhered the die cut circle over it.
On each corner of the "Weathered Wood" square, I stamped the "kisses/cross-stitch detail" in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist".
I used a blender and "Cracked Pistachio" Distress Oxide Inks on a plain piece of square card and glued the grey square on top.
I then moved on to the main feature of the circle, by stamping the sewing machine (part of the "Sew Lovely" stamp set) over the knit stitch background, using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.
I then stamped the same image on to plain white card and fussy cut the sewing machine out and adhered over the original stamped image.  Finally, I coloured the foliage with a Sakura Jelly Roll Pen.
Day 23 - The Daily Marker Thirty Day Colouring Challenge #thedailymarker30day
Day 23 of "The Daily Marker Thirty Day Colouring Challenge".
For my card, I used a stamped image by Hobby Arts Ltd called "Dogs - CS130D" coloured with Arteza Coloured Pencils.
Lavinia Stamps - Pipin Christmas Wreath Card
Today was "Lavinia Day" on Hochanda TV.  Being part of the Lavinia Design Team you'd think I'd be Laviniad out, but no, I sat and watched the 10am show today and felt inspired, so got cracking on this card.
I had some gelli plate backgrounds prepared from a session a while back so used one of those for the central area.
I repeat stamped the "Fir Tree Branch" in Versafine Clair "Acorn" brown ink.
Using Versafine Clair "Pinecone" dark brown ink, I stamped "Pipin" a tiny one inch tall hare which I adore.  I also stamped the "Fairy Foragers" and the "Fairy Merry Christmas" sentiment in the same ink.
I used some of the "pound stamps" to fill in the wreath, "Mini Holly" and "Mini Berries".  I also used the "Mini Stars" to fill the area around the sentiment.
Finally, I used some "Lavinia Holographic Moon Dust" to add some glitter like sparkle and a white Signo pen to highlight areas and to provide snowflakes in the corners of the card.
Day 22 - The Daily Marker Thirty Day Colouring Challenge #thedailymarker30day
It's Day 22 of "The Daily Marker Thirty Day Colouring Challenge".
Today I have used a stamped image from the Funky Fossil "Boho Flowers" clear stamp set, coloured with Distress Oxide Inks.
The "Hello" sentiment is stamped in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" and is part of a Spellbinders stamp set (STP-004).
Lavinia Stamps November 2019 Hochanda TV Preview - Set 3/2
Lavinia Stamps will be appearing on Hochanda TV show casing some of their fabulous range of stamps and accessories on Friday 22nd November 2019 at 10am or 3pm.  Don't forget to pop it on record if you're not able to watch it live.
I am so fortunate to be part of the Lavinia Stamps Design Team.  I joined in January of this year and it still doesn't feel real.  Being part of the team also means I get to play with the new release products before they are released.  This is a card I made for the Hochanda shows.
It's a really simple card, I've only used two stamps "Sirlus" the Pegasus and the "Small Fairy Fir Tree".
I used some hot pink card to stamp Sirlus on, using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.
On the outer edge of the card, I started to stamp the fir tree, first in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist", which is a grey ink, then in the gaps I stamped the same tree to overlap, in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink, this tree stamping formed a frame around the pegasus.
I masked off a circle and used Nocturne around the edge and also to make the landscape behind the pegasus using a torn edge of copy paper.
Lavinia Stamps November 2019 Hochanda TV Preview Set 2/2
Lavinia Stamps will be appearing on Hochanda TV with some fabulous stamps and accessories on Friday 22nd November at 10am and 3pm.
I am very fortunate to be part of the Lavinia Stamps Design Team, which means I get to play with the new products and create samples for their shows.
For this card, I used a background of spinkled Brusho paint granules oncto damp card (Purple, Violet and Midnight Blue).  I then sprinkled Cosmic Shimmer "Silver Dream" on top of the Brusho which has created a beautiful shimmery background.
I stamped the "Enchanted Dreams" and the first two lines of the "See A Fairy" verse in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.
Using the torn edge of a piece of copy paper, I dragged ink in a downwards direction with a blender to create the landscape.
I used the top of the "Single Fairy Thistle", stmaped in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" greyn ink to create tiny foliage growing along the landscape.
Funky Fossil - Stags on a Nordic Star background
I've been playing with a couple of Funky Fossil products today to create this card.
I started by tearing some pages out of an old book, torn into rough sections, then sticking onto a blue background.  (While I had the PVA out, I made some other backgrounds in different colours for future projects).  I left them to dry over night.
This morning, I layed the "Nordic Star Background Stencil" over the prepared background and used a low tack masking tape to hold the stencil in position.
I used a glossy white stencil dimension paste through the stencil.  Removing the stencil for washing and leaving the background to dry.
I used the "Funky Fossil Stag MDF Embellishments", coating them with PVA glue applied with my finger, then coating in a Cosmic Shimmer "Gold Sand" glitter, which is a very fine grade glitter.  I then left them to dry.
Once dry, I adhered them to the card, added a stamped sentiment and some small sticky back pale blue gems to the middle of the stars.
Day 20 - The Daily Marker Thirty Day Colouring Challenge #thedailymarker30day
This is my card for Day 20 of "The Daily Marker Thirty Day Colouring Challenge".  I've completed two thirds of the challenge and I am pretty impressed by that, so a pat on the back for me.
I've used another Penny Black stamped image, stamped in Versafine Ink.  This time the stamp I've used is called "Hedgy Shuffle - 3541K", which is a 2006 release.  I have coloured the image using water colour pencils.
Lavinia Stamps November 2019 Hochanda TV Preview - Set 4/1
Lavinia Stamps will be appearing on Hochanda TV show casing some fabulous stamps and accessories.  The shows will be on Friday 22nd November at 10am and 3pm.
I am very fortunate to be part of the Lavinia Stamps Design Team.  I've been part of the team coming up for a year and I am still stunned to be representing such a great UK company.  Of course one of the many bonuses of being on the Design Team is that I get to play with products before they are on general release.  I've made this card for the Hochanda show.
I started creating this card by painting the background using a paint brush with Distress Oxide Inks.  These are the colours I used:  Shabby Shutters, Mowed Lawn, Tumbled Glass, Shaded Lilac and Broken China.
I stamped the "Meadow Mushrooms" in Versafine Clair "Acorn" ink.  I then stamped "Pippin" in Versafine Clair "Tumbled Leaves" brown ink.
I stamped the "Fairy Orchid" in two colours of Versafine Clair Inks:  Shady Lane for the stem and Monarch for the flower head.
I used a white Signo pen to highlight areas of the card.
Tuesday 19 November 2019
Funky Fossil - Sew Lovely with Knitted Background
I've been playing with the Funky Fossil "Sew Lovely" clear stamp set using their "Knitted Stencil" for the background.
I started by using "Weathered Wood" Distress Oxide Ink through the "Knitted Background Stencil.
On plain white card, I stamped the thread holders (eight times, two for each colour) in Versafine Clair inks.
I coloured the inner thread area with an Arteza Brush Pen and then cut the shape out.
I then fussy cut the thread holder out (without the foliage) and adhered the coloured thread to it using foam pads to give dimension.
I stamped the "Sew Happy For You" and the "Kisses/cross stitch" sentiment in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink and then adhered the thread cards onto the card.
Day 19 - The Daily Marker Thirty Day Colouring Challenge #thedailymarker30day
This is my make for Day 19 of "The Daily Marker Thirty Day Challenge".
For this card, I have used a Stamper's Anonymous stamp from their "Childhood Blueprint - CMS229" stamped in Versafine ink and coloured with water colour pencils.
Lavinia Stamps November 2019 Hochanda TV Preview - Set 1/2
Lavinia Stamps will be on Hochanda TV with some fabulous stamps and accessories on Friday 22nd November 2019 at 10am and 3pm.
I am very fortunate to be part of the Lavinia Stamps Design Team which means I get to play with the new stamps before they are released to the public.  This is one of the cards I made to promote the show.
For this card I started by covering a plain white piece of card with "Antique Linen" Distress Oxide Inks, creating a mottled/aged style background.
I stamped the fairy called "Celeste" first, using Versafine Clair "Monarch" purple coloured ink.  Using the same ink, I stamped the "Faerie Spells" sentiment.
I then created the foliage swag.  First I stamped the "Fir Tree Branch" in Versafine Clair "Shady Lane" green ink.  I added the "Pound Stamp - Holly", stamped in Versafine Clair "Rain Forest" dark green coloured ink.  I stamped the "Pound Stamp - Berries" using a Memento Ink called "Rhubarb Stalk".
Finally, I stamped some pound stamp stars across the card using a Brilliance Ink called "Galaxy Gold".  I added some white highlights to various areas of the card.
Once the card was fully dry, I positioned the letter dies across the image, securing with a low tack tape before running through the big shot machine.
I removed the letters from the image and turned the card upside down, so that the base of the card was showing.  I adhered some red paper over the word area.  I then mounted the card on a dark red coloured card and then onto a cream base.
Flipping the card with the right side upright, I cut foam pads and stuck them onto the base of the letters.  I then positioned them over the red letter shape.  This gives a raised look to the word "Peace" and you get a little glimpse of the red to add interest too.
I am very fortunate to be part of the Lavinia Stamps Design Team, which means I get to play with the new products before they are on general release.  This is a card I have made for the show.
For this card I used a background created with the Gelli Plate, Brusho Paint and brayered Colorbox Inks.
I stamped the "Fairy Fir Tree (small)" in Versafine Clair "Shady Lane" green ink.  I then stamped "Sirlus" the pegasus in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink.
I created a landscape using the torn edge of a piece of copy paper, dragging ink downwards to create soft lines.
I highlighted areas using a white Signo Pen and used three shades of Liquid Pearls (Gold, Chestnut and Avocado) to give the impression of flowers within the grass.
Once dry, I mounted the image onto coloured card, stamping the "Seasons Change" sentiment vertically in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink.
Day 18 - The Daily Marker Thirty Day Colouring Challenge #thedailymarker30day
It's Day 18 of "The Daily Marker Thirty Day Colouring Challenge".
For my card, I have used a stamped Papermania/DoCrafts "Teacups" stamped image, stamped in Versafine "Smokey Gray" shade of ink.  I have coloured the image using Arteza Coloured Pencils.
Lavinia Stamps - Floral Spray Sympathy Card
It seems the older I am getting the more sympathy cards I need to make.  Here is a quick card I made this morning.
For this card I have used a Lavinia Stamp called "Floral Spray" positioned horizontally.  The sentiment is part of a Stampin' Up set called "Iconic Occasions".  Both have been stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink on a cream coloured card base.
Lavinia Stamps November 2019 Hochanda TV Preview - Set 4/2
I am very fortunate to be part of the Lavinia Stamps Design Team.  I joined the team last January and still pinch myself that they chose me to be part of their super talented team of representatives.  A bonus for me, is that I get to play with the new release products before they are released to the public.  This is a card I made for the shows.
I've used a background created on the gelli plate, using brayered Colorbox Ink and Brusho paints.
I stamped the "Meadow Mushrooms", "Pippin" and "The Birds" in Versafine Clair "Chianti" dark red/brown ink.  I used a Sakura Gelly Roll pen to add a shimmer highlight.  I die cut the image into a circle and then mounted it onto some plain cardstock.  I then mounted that onto the surplus gelli plate background, cut into a square.
Lavinia Stamps November 2019 Hochanda TV Preview - Set 2/1
Lavinia Stamps will be on Hochanda TV with some fabulous stamps and accessories.  The shows will be on Friday 22nd November at 10am and 3pm, hope you'll be able to watch it, or at least pop it on record for later.
I created the swirl background using Distress Oxide Inks and a paint brush, suing:  Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Blueprint Sketch.
I stamped the "See A Fairy" verse in Versafine Clair "Smokey Gray" ink.
I stamped the "Enchanted Dreams" (fairy on snail) using Versafine Clair "Nocturn" black ink.  I then created the landscape using a torn edge of copy paper, dragging the ink down to create the impression of land behind the snail.
I then stamped the "Single Fairy Thistle" multiple times using Versafine Clair "Blue Belle" ink.  I also stamped the same image, in Versafine Clair "Twilight" (just the head) onto rice paper.
On the reverse of the rice paper, I dragged the "Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink.  I then cut the seed heads out and adhered over the top of the original ones on the card.  This gave a more dominant colour to them.  I added white highlights to the thistles.
I coloured the edge of the card using two shades of Distress Oxide Inks:  Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire.  Finally, I added some dots of Liquid Pearls, in a "Blackberry" shade to the top of the thistles.
Day 17 - The Daily Marker Thirty Day Colouring Challenge #thedailymarker30day
This is my Day 17 make for "The Daily Marker Thirty Day Colouring Challenge".
I've used Arteza Coloured Pencils to colour in a Penny Black stamped image (Squueze 'till I Squeak - 1664J).
I die cut the image into a circle and mounted it onto an embossed spotty background (Scattered Dots Embossing Folder by Crafter's Companion).
Week 47 - 52 Week Mini Art Card / Tag Challenge 2019
The prompt for Week 47 is "Bright".  My reasoning behind this prompt is that this week the weather has been so grey and grim, that I found myself wanting to create something with pretty, bright colours.
I started by using "Peacock Feathers" shade of Distress Oxide Ink through a Clarity Stamp Stencil called "Orbit".
Using Versafine Clair "Nocturn" black Ink, I stamped the Visible Image flowers and circle detail.  These stamps are part of their "Creative Chaos" clear stamp set.  I used some additional circles from another of their sets called "Shape It Up".
I stamped the flower heads again, this time on white card, which I painted with a pink shade of Distress Oxide Ink called "Picked Raspberry".  I then fussy cut the flower heads and adhered over the ones already on the tag.
Finally, I stamped the Always Cool words, using some magnetic word stamps by Rubbadubbadoo.  I added additional white cirles to the tag using a Signo Pen.
Saturday 16 November 2019
Day 16 - The Daily Marker Thirty Day Colouring Challenge #thedailymarker30day
It's Day 16 of "The Daily Marker Thirty Day Challenge".  I've had a really chilled day, hence posting this a lot later in the day and the photo isn't square on either, but you get the idea of it.
I stamped a Bo Bunny flower and leaf from an early set called "Olivia Clearly Stamps - SO690".  I coloured the image with Arteza Brush Pens.
I felt the image was missing something, I decided it needed words, so used a Visible Image stamp set called "Somewhere In Time" and stamped the sentiments in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink.
