Tiffany Johnson Creative #100daysartplay Challenge - Day 29

Today is Day 29 of the Tiffany Johnson creative #100daysartplay challenge.  It's also the start of Week 4, so there is a new theme.  The theme for Week 4 is "Texture".

I thought I would kick this theme off with a clean and simple design, using a Gemini/Crafters Companion deep embossing folder that screams texture to me.

I mounted the card on to a piece of dark blue paper and then on to a white card blank.

Using Versafine Clair "Twilight" dark blue ink, I stamped the Simon Says Stamp sentiment, which is part of their set called "Tiny Words - Birthday" on to white card, trimmed and then mounted it on to matching dark blue paper.

Day 29 - The Daily Marker Thirty Day Colouring Challenge #thedailymarker30day

It's the penultimate day of "The Daily Marker Thirty Day Challenge".

For my Day 29 card, I have used a Penny Black 2006 stamped image called "Snow Trot - 3540H", stamped in Versafine Ink.  I have coloured the image using water colour pencils and popped it onto an embossed bubble background, using a Crafter's Companion "Scattered Dots" embossing folder.

Week 33 - 52 Week Mini Art Card / Tag Challenge 2018

Week 33 of the challenge.  The prompt for this week is "Wings"!

My tag is a bit random, this week, I grabbed a handful of bits and decided to make of them what I could.

I've used Distress Oxides to create the coloured base. I used a Lavinia Stamp called "Sacred Spells" and lightly stamped the text deliberately leaving a fragmented text look.

I stamped the wings, which are a Gemini/Crafter's Companion set called "Angel Wings" in a StazOn ink onto Vellum, then die cut them.

The deer head was from a magazine set last year.  I stamped it and coloured it with Promarkers and then die cut the image.
I partially adhered the wings onto the tag and then mounted the deer head using sticky foam pads so that it is a little raised.  I then added some Stickles to the wings to add a little glitter. Finally, I used a Stamper's Anonymous stamp for the sentiment stamped in Versafine Clair ink.

Angel Wings and Heart Tag for Maddie

Today we learnt some horrific news.  The niece and daughter of our friends had been missing in America.  We had all hoped for a positive outcome, but that was not to be.

Her boyfriend went to the Police station and told them where her body could be found.  We are in shock and Maddie has been on my mind all day. She was only 27 and had so much to live for.

A Distress Ink shaded background with stars stamped with a Lavinia Stamp.  The angel wings are by Crafter's Companion coloured with Promarkers.  The heart is cut using a Tonic die.  The sentiment and flower on the heart are both from a Stampin' Up set called "Silhouette Sentiments".  I typed & printed the sentiment at the base of the tag.

Thankful, Grateful & Blessed Card (Stampin' Up)

I had half an hour to play with paper this morning while I waited for the washing machine to finish its thing, so I made this card.

I had already cut the intricate background for the sentiment using a Creative Expressions Die (Ref CED9105).  I then stamped the sentiment using Stampin' Up Paisleys and Posies stamp.  The blue background was embossed with dots using a Crafter's Companion "Scattered Dots" embossing folder.

Fly Butterfly Tag

I started this tag by stamping the butterfly image (using the butterfly from the Stampin' Up set called "Touch Of Nature") onto a prepared Panpastel background and then masked the area so that I could stamp the script background (using Crafter's Companion script cling stamp).

I then used a couple of Tim Holtz stampers anonymous stamps for the honeycomb and heavy black dot shapes. I then stamped the flower (below the butterfly) which was part of a "Little Claire" stamp set, sticking embellishments to the centres.  The edges were inked with various shades of ink and the stickers "Fly" were added.
