Lavinia Stamps "Halloween 2021" Card

With the extra hour I gained this morning, I made this Halloween card.

For the base, I used a brayer to apply four Lavinia Element inks (Lime Punch, Olive, Sahara and Russet Orange).

For all stamping, I have used Versafine Clair Inks with Lavinia Stamps.  These are the stamps I have used for this card:  Tree of Courage, Tree of Hope, Willow the Witch, Bats, Forest Spruce and one of the star pound stamps.

I have also used a black Posca Pen, a gold shimmer Gelly Roll pen and some colouring pencils.

"Deck The Halls" Christmas Card (JOFY107)

A quick play this morning, finishing a card I started a few weeks ago, taking inspiration from a demo I saw by Jo Firth Young. Stamping in the half light I can see that the sentiment is a bit wonky, but hey ho, crafting isn't an exact process and these things happen.  I wasn't going to ditch it after the work put in to create the background!

I've used PaperArtsy Fresco Finish paints in Snowflake, Carbbean Sea and Jade for the background colour.

The sentiment is a stamp by PaperArtsy JOFY - ref 107 (Jo Firth Young).  I've stamped in Wow! Clear embossing ink and then coated in Wow! Rich Gold embossing powder and heat set.  I have used a gold metallic pen for the drawn edge border.

Lavinia Stamps "Gip" and the "Starlights" Gift Tag

This evening, while the footie and rugby was on, I made this little gift tag using two of the new Lavinia Stamps that were released a couple of days ago.

I've used the following Lavinia products:  Feather Leaf Stencil, Hertfelt Verse set, Starlights Set, Gip, Whimsical Hares and the Bermuda Elements Ink.

I have also used Distress Oxide inks, Versafine Clair inks for the background and also Posca Pens and Gelly Roll Pens.

Lavinia Stamps "Fip" and "Gip" Card

Lavinia Stamps have released nine new stamps, so this morning I was stalking Postie. Fortunately they arrived late morning, so I have had a chance to play with a couple making this  card.

It features "Fip" the fairy and "Gip" the branch.  I used a Lavinia sentiment called "Fairy Merry Christmas" too.  I've stamped in Versafine Clair inks and created the background using Distress Oxide Inks.  I've also used Gelly Roll Pens, Posca Pens and colouring pencils too.

Lavinia Stamps "Fir Cone and Holly Wreath" Card

I recently saw part of a tutorial by Jo Rice and decided to make a card loosely based on her design using Lavinia Stamps.

I used the following Lavinia Stamps:  Fir Cone Branch, Mini Holly, Fairy Charms, Pipin and the "Spirit of Christmas" sentiment all stamped in an assortment of Versafine Clair Inks.

Funky Fossil "Graffiti Wall" stencil

I've been playing today with Funky Fossil products, creating this grungey style card.

I've used a sheet of the Funky Fossil "Texture" patterned paper as the base and then laid the Funky Fossil "Graffiti Wall" stencil over the top, applying three shades of Distress Oxide Ink through the stencil (Rusty Hinge, Candied Apple and Rustic Wilderness).

I used the Funky Fossil A7 "Inky Grid" stamp for the corner details and their "Artsy" stamp set for the main sentiment, both stamped in Versafine Clair "Twilight" ink.  Finally, I inked the edges and added some splatters of Posca Pen.

Julie Hickey "Happy Profile Die Set" Anniverysary Card #2

Here are two more makes, where I have used up some of the off-cuts of patterned papers from previous projects.  I've used the same layout for both cards, just in different papers and inks.

Again, I've used the Julie Hickey "Happy Profile Die Set" for the main sentiment.  The stamped "Anniversary" sentiment is from a Hobby Art set called "General Greetings" stamped in Memento "Rhubarb Stalk" red ink and Versafine Clair "Rain Forest" green ink.

Julie Hickey "Happy Profile Die Set" Anniversary Card

Today, I've been making cards using up scraps of patterned papers I had in my stash. This is the first of three cards.

For this card, I used papers from a 6x6" Trimcraft paper pack, which I think was called "Floral Fusion".

I've used assorted dies from various manufacturers including Spellbinder's, the Memory Box "Pippi" and "Isabella" butterflies and the Julie Hickey "Happy Profile Die Set" which I have coated in Wow! Clear embossing ink and Wow! Rich Gold embossing powder and heat set.

Funky Fossil Designs "Snow Crystal" stencilled Christmas Card

I've made another style of Christmas card this morning, using products by Funky Fossil Designs.

For the background, I used three Distress Oxide Inks (Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers and Mermaid Lagoon.  Applied as a wash with a paint brush, graduating the colour from dark to light.

Once dry, I placed the Funky Fossil "Snow is Falling" stencil over the top and used "Speckled Egg" Distress Oxide Ink through the stencil.

I rubbed the surface with an anti-static bag and then lay the Funky Fossil "Snow Crystal" stencil over the top and applied Wow! Clear embossing ink through the stencil.  After lifting the stencil, I then coated the area with Wow! Rich Gold Embossing Powder and heat set.

I used the same process for the "Noel" sentiment, which is part of the Funky Fossil "Elegant Ornaments" stamp set.

Finally, I used a metallic gold pen to draw a line around the edge of the card.  I used a white pen to add highlights to the snowflake.

Funky Fossil "Winter Wonderland" snow globe card

Today, I've been playing with my Funky Fossil Designs stash, deciding to use three of their stencils:  Snow Globe, Petal Burst and Snow is Falling, with Distress Oxide inks, taking inspirations from a recent Eileen Godwin tutorial.

I paired these with two Funky Fossil stamp sets:  Winter Wonderland and Festive Phrases for the sentiment. I stamped in two shades of Versafine Clair inks:  Nocturne and Morning Mist.  I added some white dots for snow using a Posca Pen.

I used the following Lavinia Stamps:  Quinn, Wild Hare Set, Silhouette Grass and Silhouette Foliage Set.

The sentiment is by Lawn Fawn and is calle "Simply Sentiments"

World Card Making Day 2021

Last Saturday was "World Card Making Day 2021".  I had planned to have a day of crafting, but you know how things go, life kind of happens so my card making didn't happen.

Sharon Everett of "The Kraft Kabin" had arranged lots of tutorials by different names from the British card making world to provide free live or video tutorials, which she hosted on a Facebook group.

Today, I found time to make a card, loosely following a tutorial by Martine Smith.  I didn't use the products she used, but used some similar from my existing stash.

For the base, I used a Provocraft Cuttlebug embossing folder of holly.  I used the flat side to coat the area in two shades of Distress Oxide Inks:  Antique Linen and Tea Dye.

I then used a Crafters Companion "Script stamp" with Memento "Rhubarb Stalk" red ink.  Next I die cut some holly and fir branches using a Sizzix/Tim Holtz thinlet set (658759).  I found some paper poinsetta flowers and layered them up.

I used a Simon Says Stamp for the "Yuletide Greetings" sentiment and then die cut it into a banner, I then assembled the foliage, flower and greetings together.
