Design Team Project for "My Time To Craft Challenge Blog" #409 No square or rectangle cards

There is a new challenge prompt on the "My Time To Craft Challenge Blog".  Challenge #409 is "No Square of Rectangle Cards".  If you have a minute to spare, please do pop over and take a look at the fab makes by my Design Team colleagues.

I used a cream card for the base of this card, using "Seedless Grapes" Distress Oxide Ink through a Funky Fossil Designs "Floral Beauty" stencil.

I die cut the image using two dies from the Julie Hickey "Hexagon JHD-CUT-1005" die set.

I then stamped the Spellbinders "shine" sentiment (STP-004, using a Brilliance "Galaxy Gold" ink.

DesignTeam make for the "My Time To Craft Challenge Blog" #408 Halloween or Cats

There is a new challenge theme on the "My Time To Craft Challenge Blog".  Challenge #408 has a theme of "Halloween or Cats".  If you have a minute to spare, please do pop over and take a look at the fab makes by my Design Team colleagues.

For my card, I used a selection of Distress Oxide Inks and Lavinia Stamps to create this image.

I started by masking off a circle and filling it with a blend of Antique Linen and Scattered Straw Distress Oxide inks.  I then covered the circle with a mask and used a mix of the following shades of Distress Oxide Inks to create the sky colours:  Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Worn Lipstick and Chipped Sapphire.

For the landscape I used Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Crushed Olive and Forest Moss Distress Oxide Inks.

I used two shades of Versafine Clair ink throughout this card:  Nocturne (Black and Morning Mist a grey shade).

I multiple stamped the "Lavinia Stamps Tree Branch".  I then added one of the crows from the "Lavinia Stamps Crow Set", the "Lavinia Stamps Bats" and then the "Lavinia Stamps Seasonal Tree".

I then moved on to the lower section of the card by stamping "Lavinia Stamps Mooch The Cat", "Lavinia Stamps Meadow Mushroom", the "Mini Slender Mushroom" and "Lavinia Stamps Meadow Grass".

Finally, I added some tufts of grass using a black fine liner pen and also high-lighted areas using a white Signo Pen.

This is the card that I made for the challenge.  I have used two shades of Distress Oxide Inks (Worn Lipstick and Wilted Violet) through the Funky Fossil Designs "Circle Burst" stencil, on both the front and on the inside right hand corner of the card.

Using Versafine Clair "Monarch", a purple shade of ink, I stamped the Visible Image sentiment "Wake Up Awesome" to the front of the card.  I used the same ink to stamp the Stampin' Up sentiment from thier "Part of my story" stamp set for the internal sentiment.  Finally, I added some purple sequins to the front of the card.

Design Team make for "My Time To Craft Challenge Blog" #403 "Oriental" theme

It is time for a new challenge theme on the "My Time To Craft Challenge Blog".  Challenge #403 has an "Oriental" theme.

This is the card that I made for the challenge.  Please do pop over to take a look at the fab creations by my Design Team colleagues.

I decided I would make a Bon Voyage card for somebody travelling to China.

I used some patterned paper that I've had in my stash for a little while to create the background to this card, it is from a 6x6" stack called "Floral Fusion" that I purchased from The Range.

After layering the various patterns and sticking into position, I then stamped the emperor image using a Paperartsy stamp from their "Asian Plate 1" set of red rubber stamps, stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink.  The word "China" was from the same set and stamped in the same ink.

The "Bon Voyage" sentiment is from a Woodware stamp set called "Bon Voyage - ADS105" also stamped in the same Versafine ink.

Design Team Make for "My Time To Craft Challenge Blog" 399 "Water Colour"

It's time for another challenge on the "My Time To Craft Challenge Blog".  The challenge #399 theme is "Water Colour".  This is my Design Team make for this prompt.  If you do have a minute spare, please do pop over and see the fab makes my Design Team colleagues have created.

I started this card by using a paint brush, giving the background a water colour wash using my Prima Watercolour Confections set.

Once dry, I stamped the Lavinia Stamps "Nigella Damascena" in Distress Oxide Inks, first in the shade of "Bundled Sage" for the stem and foliage and then I used a mix of Dusty Concord and Faded Jeans for the heads of the flowers applied with a paint brush.

I then gave the flowers a fine spritz of water as I wanted to give the stamped image a more water colour look as if it was bleeding into the background wash a little.

Once this was dry, Using a Versafine Ink pad in the shade of "Stormy Gray", I stamped the sentiment which is also by Lavinia Stamps and is called "Sparkle".  Finally, I used a silver glitter Signo Pen to add some highlights to the flower heads.

Design Team Make - "My Time To Craft Challenge Blog" #397 "Tag You're It"

It's time for another challenge on the "My Time To Craft Challenge Blog".  Challenge #397 is "Tag You're It".  This is the tag that I have made as part of the Design Team.  If you have a minute to spare, please do pop over and take a look at the other fab creations by my Design Team colleagues and maybe even enter yourself.

For my tag, I started off by using Dylusions Spray Ink in the shades of "Fresh Lime" and "Squeezed Orange" onto a manilla coloured plain tag.  I then used masking tape to keep a stencil in place and used three shades of Distress Inks with a blending tool through the stencil to create the background pattern.  I then inked the edges in black ink.

Both the stamps used on this tag are by Stampers Anonymous and are from two different sets.  The butterfly is part of "Perspective (CMS213)" and the sentiment is from the "Random Quotes (CMS182)" set.  Both were stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink.

Finally, I added white high-light areas using a Signo Pen and a slight gold shimmer to the butterfly spots using a Sakura Gelly Roll pen.

Design Team Make for "My Time To Craft Challenge Blog" #395 Spring Flowers

It is time for another challenge on the "My Time To Craft Challenge Blog".  This time the theme is "Spring Flowers".  If you have a minute to spare, please do pop over and take a look at the creations by my fellow Design Team members and maybe take part in the challenge yourself.

I decided to go for a clean and simple (CAS) look.  For this card I used an embossing folder that came free with a magazine a couple of years ago.

The bucket of flowers is also a free stamp from the "Crafts Beautiful Magazine", March 2018 issue.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Marker pens to stamp the image in the following shades:  Wilted Violet, Hickory Smoke and Twisted Citron.

I decided against using a sentiment for this card, as I thought it would be handy plain for several different occasions.

Design Team make for "My Time To Craft Challenge Blog" #394 - Easter/Hedgehogs

It's time for another prompt on the "My Time To Craft Challenge Blog".  The theme for challenge #394 is Easter/Hedghogs.  This is the Design Team tag I made for this prompt.

Rather than a card, I thought I would make a tag instead.  I like making tags as I find them more informal than a card.

I started with a background of Distress Oxides in greens, mauves and pale pinks.

All the pink stamping is done in Versafine Clair "Charming Pink" ink.  I don't recall where the stamps came from as i've had them for some years, but the quality of them is not good so it makes me think they may have come with a magazine.  (Please note:  the sentiment is from a Penny Black set called "Garden Friends").

The hedgehogs are made by Lavinia Stamps and are called "The Wallace Family" which I have stamped in Versafine Clair "Fallen Leaves" ink.

Finally, I inked the edges of the tag in Versafine Clair "Charming Pink" ink and added spots of Liquid Pearls in a shade called "Blackberry".

Design Team Make for "My Time To Craft Challenge" #391 - Pink and Girly

This is a Design Team make for "My Time To Craft Challenge Blog".  The challenge for #391 is "Pink and Girly".  If you have a moment, please do pop over to the challenge page, highlighted above and check out the other fab makes by my fellow Design Team colleagues or maybe take part in it yourself.

For this card, I created a pink background colour using the following shades of Distress Oxide inks:  Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry and Festive Berries.

Using a Lavinia Stamp called "Zen Rose", I stamped multiple images at different levels across the page in Versafine "Smokey Grey" ink.

Using Versafine Clair "Monarch" shade of ink, I stamped the Lavinia Stamp "Flower Fairy"  and the sentiment (I purchased this second hand, so I don't know who produced it). Using the same shade of ink, I inked all the edges of the card, leaving the middle area lighter.

I finally added some touches of white and silver glitter, using a Signo Pen and stuck a handful of sparkly sequins onto the card too.

Design Team Make - My Time To Craft Challenge #390 - Men Only

I made this card for the "My Time To Craft Challenge Blog" #390 with a theme of "Men Only".  If you have a minute, please do pop over to check out the fab makes by my Design Team colleagues.

This was a really quick make.  I had a decoupage kit with a few bar room bits left on it, which were ideal for this prompt.

I layered up the four sections with foam pads to provide dimension.  I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder to create the birthday background.  I used a Stampin' Up stamp from their "Endless Birthday" stamp set to stamp the word "Celebrate", I then cut one end into a banner.

Design Team Make for "My Time To Craft Challenge blog" (389) All You Need Is Love

It's time to share another Design Team make for the "My Time To Craft Challenge Blog". Challenge number 389 has a prompt of "All You Need Is Love", so anything along the theme of Valentine's, Weddings, Anniversaries etc.  If you have a moment, please do pop over to the challenge blog and take a look at some of the fab makes by my fellow DT colleagues and maybe even take part in the challenge yourself.

For my card, I used a sheet of music score covered with Distress Oxides, spritzed and left to dry.

I stamped the woodgrain by using a Stampin' Up "Hardwood" stamp, stamped in Versafine "Smokey Grey" ink.  I then painted a wash of colour using diluted Distress Inks applied with a brush.  Once dry, I die cut a heart in the middle of the woodgrain image.  I then mounted the die cut woodgrain card onto the coloured music score paper.

I die cut the word "love" using a die from a Stampin' Up thinlit set called "Expressions".  The Papertrey Ink sentiment of "is all you need" is from their "wonderful words - love" set, which was stamped in Versafine "Black Onyx" ink.  Finally, I stuck a sprinkle of clear sequins across the surface of the card.
