A few weeks ago, I was fortunate to be given a whole box of 12x12" Stampin' Up patterned papers by a friend who was down-sizing. I've used a piece of one of those papers for the base of the card, layering it on to a yellow card stock and then on to a white card blank.
For the central area, I used two Spellbinders dies (sorry, I don't recall the names of them, as I have had them for years). In the yellow cardstock I die cut a scalloped edge square, and in the white a plain square.
On the white square, I stamped the "Happy Birthday" greeting, which is part of a Penny Black stamp set called "Sprinkles and smiles 30-297", stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink. I then layered and glued them to the patterned paper
That paper really pops over the yellow and onto the white card Sam, and the added scalloped edge frame with the black on white stamped sentiment works brilliantly as a finishing touch...a beautiful card. x
