Funky Fossil Designs "Spring In The Forest" New Stamp Set Release Day

Today is the release day for lots of lovely new goodies from Funky Fossil Designs, including thier beautiful new stamp set called "Spring In The Forest", which has been designed for Funky Fossil by Claire Brooking, it's full of beautiful images of rabbits, flowers and phrases.

For this sample, I have used the Funky Fossil "Slimline Abstract Birch" stencil to create the forest background with Distress Oxide inks.

Today, I am sharing with you a preview of a new stamp set that is being released this Friday, 14th January 2022 by Funky Fossil Designs.

"Spring In The Forest" stamp set is designed for Funky Fossil by Claire Brooking and has a gorgeous selection of rabbits, flowers and phrases, ideal for your Spring season cards.

For the card at the top, I used the Funky Fossil "Meadow Flower Silhouette" stencil with "Cracked Pistachio" Distress Oxide inks ro create the background.

For the pink card, I used the Funky Fossil "Daisy Background Stencil" to create the patterned background.

Funky Fossil Designs New Stamp Launch - Starfish Wishes

This morning Funky Fossil Designs launch five fabulous new clear stamp sets.  They will also be on Hochanda Tv today at 3pm with a selection of lovely goodies to tempt you with.  Don't forget to tune in or set your planner to record the show.

For this sample, I have used the new Funky Fossil "Starfish Wishes" stamp set.   I repeat stamped the starfish onto black card using a "Wow! Clear embossing pad, coated the images in Wow! Clear embossing powder then heat set.

On a white card, I stamped the sea shell using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink, again coated in Wow! Clear embossing powder and heat set.  I added a pink tint to  the shell using "Spun Sugar" Distress Oxide Ink.  I added a grey shadow using "Weathered Wood" Distress Oxide Inks and then stamped the sentiment in black ink.

Funky Fossil Designs New Stamp Preview - Find Your Rainbow

Funky Fossil Designs will be launching five brand new stamp sets this Saturday 27th June at 9am, on the same day, Funky Fossil will also be on Hochanda TV at 3pm.

I made this tag using one of the new Funky Fossil stamp sets called "Find Your Rainbow".  I have used the raindrops to create the flower petals.

I used two shade of Distress Oxide Ink to create the landscape area:  Crushed Olive and Peeled Paint.

For the sky area I used the "Tumbled Glass" Distress Oxide Ink and the Funky Fossil "In The Clouds" stencil.  

Using the plain raindrop shape which is part of the "Find Your Rainbow" set, I multiple stamped the image to make a circle using Versafine Clair "Purple Delight" and "Glamorous" inks.

I used a patterned raindrop with Versafine Clair "Shady Lane" green ink to create the leaves of the flowers.

I used an assortment of Posca Pens to create the wild meadow look.

Funky Fossil Designs New Stamp Preview - Find Your Rainbow

Funky Fossil Designs are releasing five fabulous new stamp sets this Saturday, 27th June at 9am.  Funky Fossil will also be on Hochanda TV the same day at 3pm.

This is a card that I have made using the new "Find Your Rainbow" clear stamp set.  For this card, I had the Covid19 pandemic key workers in mind.  I stamped the rainbow using various shades of Versafine Clair inks.

I used the Funky Fossil "Fierce" word stencil for the word "Brave" coloured with "Wilted Violet" Distress Oxide Ink.

I used Distress Oxide Ink "Mustard Seed" ink through the stars in the Funky Fossil "Rainbow Words" stencil.  I then coloured the edges of the card in the same ink.

Finally, using Versafine Clair "Glamorous" ink I stamped the words, which are part of another Funky Fossil Designs new stamp set called "Small Print".

Funky Fossil Designs New Stamp Preview May 2020 - The Bee's Knees

Funky Fossil Designs will be launching five new clear stamp sets this Sunday 10th May.

For this sample, I have used "The Bee's Knees" stamp set.

I started this card by creating a landscape using Distress Oxide Inks.  For the sky, I used "Tumbled Glass" and for the grass area I used a base of "Twisted Citron" then used "Mowed Lawn" through the Funky Fossil "Random Rectangles" stencil.

On a white piece of card, I stamped the various toadstools in Versafine "Vintage Sepia" brown ink.  I coloured them with various Distress Oxide Inks and then fussy cut the shapes.

I glued the toadstools into position and then stamped the bees using Versafine Clair "Pinecone" brown ink and then stamped the sentiment in Versafine "Vintage Sepia".  I coloured the bees using Distress Oxide "Wild Honey" ink and gave the wings a shimmer using a Sakura Gelly Roll pen.  I added some dots to create the bee flight path using a fine tip black pen.

To create the look of a meadow I painted in some grass using various shades of green Distress Oxide Inks.  I used a white Posca Pen to add some dots to give the impression of flowers growing.

Funky Fossil Designs March 2020 New Stamp Release - Happy Words

Today, Saturday 28th March 2020 is the day that Funky Fossil Designs will released five fabulous new stamp sets.

For the blue background I used a selection of Distress Oxide inks (Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio and Mermaid Lagoon).

I then used a pink texture paste through the Funky Fossil "Fish Background" stencil.

While the paste was drying I used Versafine Clair "Twilight" dark blue ink to stamp the "You are my happy" sentiment, which is part of the new "Happy Words" stamp set.  

I die cut the sentiment using a stitched edge die and adhered it to the tag.

Funky Fossil Designs March 2020 New Stamp Preview - Funky Florals

Funky Fossil Designs are launching five fabulous new stamp sets this Saturday, 28th March at 9am.  I made this sample using two of the new sets.

For this sample I use the new "Funky Florals" clear stamp set and multiple stamped the cluster of flowers/foliage four times (using Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink) to create a rough square shape.  I coloured the image using a selection of Posca Pens and Distress Oxide Inks applied with a brush.

I used the new stamp set called "Happy Words" for the central sentiment, stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.

This is large sample, measuring approximately 11 1/2"!

Funky Fossil Designs March 2020 New Stamp Preview - Funky Florals

Funky Fossil Designs are launching five fabulous new clear stamp sets this Saturday, 28th March at 9am.  

For this card, I have used the new "Funky Florals" and the new "Happy Words" set.

I stamped the corner of flowers on to a card blank and then on to an off-cut of white card, using Versafine Clair "Verdant" green ink.  

I coloured the flowers and foliage on the off-cut using a selection of Distress Oxide Inks, applied with a paint brush.  I coloured the foliage on the card blank in the same way. 

I then die cut a circle edge (using two nesting dies) to create the green ring and adhered over the stamped image on the card blank.

I used "Shabby Shutters" Distress Oxide Ink with a blending tool, through the Funky Fossil "Micro Dots" stencil, leaving the inner circle of the ring plain.

I returned to the floral area on the off-cut of card and fussy cut the image and adhered over the one on the card blank.

Finally, using the new "Happy Words" stamp set, I stamped the sentiment, using Versafine Clair "Verdant" green ink.

Funky Fossil Designs March 2020 New Stamp Preview - Cattitude

Funky Fossil Designs are releasing five fabulous new stamp sets on Saturday 28th March at 9am.  I've used one of the new sets to create this card.

I've used the new Cattitude set on a background of blended Distress Oxide Inks (pink, orange and yellow colours).

I have then spritzed the Funky Fossil "Broken Radius" stencil with water and laid the wet side over the prepared background, applying a little pressure and leaving for a few seconds.  When the stencil is lifted, I dabbed any watery areas with a piece of kitchen roll.  The area where the wet stencil has been leaves a bleached pattern.

I stamped the cats and the sentiment onto the now dry background using Versafine Clair "Acorn" brown ink.  Using the same ink, I stamped the cats on a separate piece of card.

I coloured the cats using two colours of Distress Oxide Inks - Spun Sugar and Gathered Twigs.  I used a turquoise coloures Posca Pen for areas on the hat.  I fussy cut both cat images and adhered them over the ones already stamped on the background.

For this sample, I have used the new "Happy Words" set.

I have used the "Happy Birthday" sentiment , stamped in Versafine Clair "Paradise" blue ink, on a background I have stencilled using several shades of Distress Oxide Ink through the Funky Fossil "Petal Burst" stencil.

Funky Fossil Designs March 2020 New Stamp Preview - Cupcake Crazy 3

Funky Fossil Designs are launching five fabulous new stamp sets, this Saturday 28th March at 9am.  This is a card I have made using one of the new stamp sets.

I have used the new set called "Cupcake Crazy".  I have used a Wow! Embossing pad and Wow! Clear Embossing powder heat embossed to create three stamped white outline images of the cupcakes.

I then covered the whole piece in three shades of blended Distress Oxide inks, starting with "Spun Sugar" moving in to "Picked Raspbery" and then finally "Seedless Preserve" at the base of the card.  I also stamped the sentiment using the same "Seedless Preserve" ink.

On an off-cut of white card, I stamped the cupcake image using a Versafine Clair "Charming Pink" shade of ink pad.  I coloured the icing on the cake using "Spun Sugar" Distress Oxide Ink and used a "Walnut Stain" Distress Oxide ink to colour the sponge area of the cake.  I coloured the strawberry using Posca pens and finally fussy cut the cake image and adhered over the central cupcake.

Funky Fossil Designs March 2020 New Stamp Preview - Cupcake Crazy (sample 2)

Funky Fossil Designs have five fabulous clear stamp sets being released for sale on Saturday 28th March at 9am.  I've made this card using the new "Cupcake Crazy" set.

I used "Picked Raspberry" Distress Oxide Ink through the Funky Fossil "Shooting Stars" stencil for the background design.

I stamped the cupcake in Versafine Clair "Charming Pink" ink  and coloured it using a Posca pen for the strawberry, "Spun Sugar" Distress Oxide Ink for the icing and "Vintage Photo" Distress Oxide Ink for the spnge area.

I stamped the sentiment using  Versafine Clair ink called "Charming Pink" and added a touch of glitter between the stars using a silver glitter Signo Pen.

Funky Fossil Designs January 2020 New Stamp Set Release - Scandi Home

Saturday, 25th January 2020 is an exciting day at Funky Fossil Designs, as today is release day for five fabulous new clear stamp sets.  

For this card, I have used the brand new set called "Scandi Home" and I absolutely love it!

I've used several of the stamps from this set, stamped in Versafine Clair "Chianti", a deep dark red ink on cream coloured card.  I stamped the teapot first, then the "Home" word followed by the remaining designs, finally adding the hearts to the corners.

Funky Fossil Designs January 2020 New Stamp Release - Blooming Birthday

It's Saturday 25th January which is lauch day for five fabulous new clear stamp sets from Funky Fossil Designs.  For this card, I have used the new "Blooming Birthday" set.

I started by creating the background using the Funky Fossil "Petal Burst" stencil in a different way to how I would usually use it.

I lay the stencil on a piece of plain copy paper and lightly ran an assortement of Distress Ink colours over the surface of the stencil.  I then spritzed the inks and lay a piece of card over the inked stencil.  The soft fragmented image transfers to the card.

I stamped half of the "Blooming Birthday" flower garland in Versafine Clair "Shady Lane" green ink.  I then stamped the flower heads in a purple colour on plain white card, coloured with felt pens then fussy cut and adhered into position.

I stamped the sentiment using Versafine Clair "Fantasia" purple ink.

Funky Fossil Designs January 2020 New Stamp Set Release - Quirky Owls

It's new stamp release day at Funky Fossil Designs.  For this card I have used the new clear stamp set called "Quirky Owls".

For the background, I have used "Stormy Grey" Distress Oxide Ink through the Funky Fossil "Birch Forest" stencil.  I then coloured the tree trunks and branches with a light brown coloured pencil.

I then stamped the owl in flight on top of the stencilled background and also on a separate off- cut of white card, using Versafine Clair "Acorn" brown ink.  

I coloured the image on the white card using Arteza coloured pencils and a very fine tip red felt pen for the heart, bow tie and part of the wing.  I then fussy cut the owl image and adhered over the other owl shaped image using clear foam pads.

I stamped the sentiment using Versafine Clair "Twilight" dark blue ink.

Funky Fossil Designs January 2020 New Stamp Release Day - Adventure Set

Today, Saturday 25th January is the release day for five brand new clear stamp sets from Funky Fossil Designs.  I've made this card using one of the new sets called "Adventure".

I started by swooshing the top section of the card is spritzed "Tumbled Glass" and "Antique Linen" Distress Oxide Inks.  Using some of the ink remaining on my craft mat, I filled in the gaps not covered using a paint brush.  I felt it needed some darker areas, so applied some diluted "Stormy Sky" Distress Oxide Ink, again applied with a paint brush.

I used another Distress Oxide Ink (Iced Spruce), to stamp the trees. I then used a little diluted "Tumbled Glass" Distress Oxide to paint some pale blue onto the snow below the trees.

Finally, I stamped the bird and the sentiment using Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey coloured ink.

Funky Fossil Designs, January 2020 New Stamp Release - Serenity

Here is another make using one of the brand new stamps sets from Funky Fossil Designs which will be released at 9am Saturday 25th January 2020.

For this card I have used the "Serenity" clear stamp set.

The background of this card, I have used an assortment of Distress Ink colours.  I then used "Blueprint Sketch" Distress Oxide Ink through the Funky Fossil "Shards" Stencil.

I used Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink to stamp the figure.  I used the same ink to edge the card and also to create the hill side in the background (using a torn piece of copy paper).

Funky Fossil Designs January 2020 New Stamp Set Preview - Scandi Home

Funky Fossil Designs are releasing five new clear stamp sets on Saturday 25th January 2020.  I've made this card using one of their new sets called "Scandi Home" which has a real folk art feel.

I've gone for a Clean and Simple look for this card.  I stamped the house and the sentiment using Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" ink and the tree/leaf in Versafine Clair "Verdant" green ink.

I've used Versafine Clair "Tulip Red" to stamp the images, replicating the corners to create a square.
