Lavinia Stamps "Fir Cone and Holly Wreath" Card

I recently saw part of a tutorial by Jo Rice and decided to make a card loosely based on her design using Lavinia Stamps.

I used the following Lavinia Stamps:  Fir Cone Branch, Mini Holly, Fairy Charms, Pipin and the "Spirit of Christmas" sentiment all stamped in an assortment of Versafine Clair Inks.

Lavinia Stamps "Pipin" and the holly wreath.

The last couple of days, I have made scenes, with a snow scene and a water theme.  Today I have opted for a Christmas theme, featuring the very cute Lavinia Stamps "Pipin"!

To create the holly wreath, I used one of the Lavinia Stamps from their £1 (pound) section called "Mini Holly", I multiple stamped initially in second generation and then first generation for a darker look using Versafine Clair "Shady Lane" green ink.  I coloured the berries with a red fetlt pen.

I stamped "Pipin" (also a pound stamp) and one of the "Whimsical Hares" in Versafine Clair "Acorn" brown ink.  I grounded the animals using a pencil.

I then used "Peeled Paint" Distress Oxide Ink applied with a paint brush to fill in the areas around the holly and give it more of a water colour background look.

The sentiment is part of a Simon Says Stamp set called "Tiny Words Christmas" stamped in Versafine Clair "Shady Lane" green ink.  I then edged the card with the same ink.
