Lavinia Stamps Vintage Style Christmas Card

I've been playing with my Lavinia Stamps again, this time making a vintage style Christmas card.

I used a Brusho background I had made a while back, sorry I don't recall which colours I used.  I used an assortment of Lavinia Stamps (Swing Bed large, Wild Hare Set, Christmas Charms, Foliage Set, Spirit of Christmas sentiment set and a pound Holly stamp).

All stamping was in Versafine Clair inks:  Shady Lane, Acorn, Fallen Leaves, and Summertime.  I have also used a red Posca Pen for the holly berries and a white and gold Gelly Roll pen for various accents.

Lavinia Stamps "Fir Cone and Holly Wreath" Card

I recently saw part of a tutorial by Jo Rice and decided to make a card loosely based on her design using Lavinia Stamps.

I used the following Lavinia Stamps:  Fir Cone Branch, Mini Holly, Fairy Charms, Pipin and the "Spirit of Christmas" sentiment all stamped in an assortment of Versafine Clair Inks.

Day 9 - 24 Day of Tags Challenge with Karen Telfer

This is my Day 9 tag for the Karen Telfer 24 Days of Tags Challenge.

I've used Tumbled Glass and Stormy Sky Distress Oxide Inks for the colour on the background.  I stamped the Lavinia Stamps "Floral Wreath" stamp in Wow! Clear Embossing Ink and then coated the stamped image with Wow! Metallic Rich Gold embossing powder and heat set the image.

Using Versafine Clair "Paradise" blue ink, I stamped the "Spirit of Christmas" verse all the way down the tag in second generation stamping.

Using a white Posca Pen, I coloured in areas not covered with the gold embossing powder.  I dragged a dry brush over the tag with a small amount of white acrylic paint to lighten areas and then finally using one of the Lavinia pound star stamps, stamped the star images in Versafine Clair "Twilight" ink.

Finally, over the areas where I had lightened the berries with the Posca Pen, I added some sparkly Stickles.

Lavinia Stamps Red Pines and Reindeer Tag

A couple of days ago, I ordered the two new stamps from Lavinia Stamp, both of them are Red Pine Trees, in large and in small.  They arrived today, so I thought I'd better try them out.

I had an off cut of a cling wrap background, so decided that would be perfect for the base of my tag, although it can barely be seen with all the other ink I have added.

I started by masking off the moon area, using Distress Oxide Inks to create the sky and land areas.  I removed the mask and added some touches of yellow to the moon, then got down to stamping.  I stamped the new "Red Pine" Trees in two shades of Distress Oxide Ink and also some Versafine Clair inks.

I stamped the reindeer in Versafine Clair "Acorn" brown ink, and used three words from one of the sentiment stamps called "Spirit of Christmas".

I used a white and then a silver glitter Signo Pen for the ground detail.

Lavinia Stamps Design Team Sample for August 2019 Hochanda TV Show - Willow Arch

On 22nd August 2019, Lavinia Stamps will be featured on Hochanda TV highlighting a fabulous selection of stamps.  This is one of the cards I have made for the show.

I used a background I'd prepared previously using a gelli plate with Colorbox inks brayered on and splatters of Brusho paint to create the mottled look.

Using Versafine "Vintage Sepia" shade of ink, I stamped the "Willow Arch" twice to create a curved line.  I then coloured it with two shades of Arteza Brush Pens.

Using a "Stars 2" from the pound stamp section of the Lavinia Site, I randomly stamped the stars across the background using a Memento Ink in a shade called "London Fog".

Using Versafine Clair ink in the shade of "Chianti", I multiple stamped the "Mini Berry"

I then stamped the sentiment, called "Spirit of Christmas" and the "Mini Holly", both in Versafine "Olympia Green" shade of ink.

Finally, I added some subtle shimmer to the card using a gold Sakura Gelly Roll pen.  A white Posca pen for highlighting and Stickles for the holly berries in a "Xmas Red" shade.

Lavinia Stamps - Design Team Samples for August 2019 Hochanda TV Show - Oona

On what is possibly one of the hottest days of the year and I have been making a Christmas card - how wrong is that!

The reason for creating Christmas cards so early in the year is that Lavinia Stamps will be launching some of their new collection of stamps on Hochanda TV on 22nd August 2019.

For this sample, I have used a Brusho background I created some time ago.  I my haste to finish the card I forgot to write down what Brusho Paints I had actually used, but from looking at the colour flecks, I feel there is definitely some Gamboge in there.

I used the Lavinia Stamp "Willow Arch", stamped three times to make a wreath shape.  I stamped the three sections using Versafine Clair "Chianti" shade of ink.  I then used two shades of Arteza Brush Pens to colour the wreath (Current Red and Wine Red).  Using the same Versafine ink, I stamped the fairy called "Oona" and the berries around the edge of the wreath, the "Mini Berries" are in the Lavinia pound stamp section.

I used a gold Sakura Gelly Roll Pen and a white Posca Pen to add highlighted areas to the card.  Finally, I stamped the sentiment, cut it to size and stuck into postion on the card.
