Papertrey Ink "Wreath for all seasons" Christmas Tag

When I made my Day 8 tag yesterday, part of the "24 Days of Tags 2022" challenge by Karen Telfer, I actually made two tags, with similar Distress Oxide ink backgrounds and the same Woodware sentiment.

Rather than the tag hanging around, I decided to ink it up using Versafine Clair "Rain Forest" and "Tulip Red" ink and the Papertrey Ink stamp set called "Wreath for all seasons".  I've had this stamp set for a number of years and each Christmas I have to use it in one way or another, so this is the result.

Day 8 of "24 Days of Tags 2022" with Karen Telfer.

This is my Day 8 tag, part of the "24 Days of Tags 2022" challenge with Karen Telfer. Today was all about smoothing and splattering.  Here is her video tutorial if you want to have a go yourself.

I followed Karen's instructions for the base colours, but didn't have the same flowers and leaves that she used, so rummaged around and came across three Woodware sets of stamps that would work well.  They were "Leaf Quartet", "Poinsettia" and "Seasons Greetings".

I used Wow! Rich Gold Embossing powder on the vellum and heat set it on a low setting.  It took a while but I got there in the end.  I added touches of metallic gold pen to the poinsettia leaves and also edged the tag in gold too.

Lavinia Stamps Wreath Card

Another early morning crafting session as I couldn't get back to sleep.  I'm so glad I have crafting to fill these early hours.

I used a Woodware "Seasons Greetings" sentiment, stamped in Wow! clear embossing ink and coated with Wow! Rich Gold Embossing Powder and then heat set.

I used an assortment of Lavinia Stamps :  Fir Cone Branch, Small Branch, Foliage Set and the Holly Pound Stamp all stamped in two shades of Versafine Clair Inks (Acorn & Shady Lane), I used a red Posca Pen to colour the berries and a gold gelly roll pen to add the gold dots to the background.

Day 1 - 24 Day Tag Challenge with Karen Telfer

I am taking part in a 24 day tag challenge run by the super talented Karen Telfer.  This is my tag for Day 1.  I suspect Karen is getting us in to this challenge gently.

I have used a Woodware clear stamp for the sentiment, heat embossed in Wow! gold embossing powder.  I've used "Tumbled Glass" Distress Oxide Ink for the lower section and splattered some diluted gold coloured acrylic paint from a paint brush.

Design Team Make for "My Time To Craft" Challenge #402 Christmas

It is time for another challenge theme on the "My Time To Craft Challenge Blog".  The theme for challenge #402 is "Christmas".

If you do have a spare moment, please do pop over to the blog and take a look at the fab makes by my Design Team colleagues.

For my card, I have used a background that I created using a circle gelli plate, Colourbox inks and Brushos.  Once the background was dry, I die cut a large snowflake using a Sizzix/Tim Holtz Bigz die, sticking the snowflake over the coloured circle.

Using a Woodware Christmas sentiment stamp, I stamped the "Seasons Greetings" in Versafine Clair "Medieval Blue" shade of ink.  Die cut into a rectangle and positioned on the top of the die cut snowflake.

Rudolf Christmas Card

I made my last Christmas card today, making this rudolf card.

I embossed a piece of white card, using the Crafters Companion "Scandinavian Christmas" embossing folder.  I die cut the rudolf face (the die came free with a magazine last year, I don't recall which mag though) and stuck it to the embossed background.  I added a large red sticky peal for the nose and googly eyes.

I stamped the Woodware sentiment in Versafine Clair "Tulip Red" ink.
