It's obviously a crafting day for me today, with my third Artist Trading Card (ATC) of the day.
Using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink, I stamped the candles, the stamp is called "Wonky Candles" by Funky Fossil Designs. I used the same ink to stamp the "congratulations" sentiment, which is part of the Funky Fossil Designs "Small Print" stamp set. I coloured the candles using assorted shades of Posca Pen, using a black fine liner pen to add the kisses border.
Two cards in one day! I must be on a roll! Our friend celebrates his birthday next week, so I needed to get a card made.
This was super quick to make, I used two patterned papers from the Funky Fossil "Turn it up" patterned paper pad. for the base.
I then used Versafine Clair "Pine Cone" dark brown ink to stamp he central detail and the sentiment, both are from the Funky Fossil stamp set called "Press Play".
I used a Derwent Inktense pale blue pencil to colour the tape. I then stamped "Celebrate" on it using a sentiment from the Funky Fossil Designs "Small Print" stamp set and Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.
Finally, I added four colours of Posca Pen splatters using Black, White, Red and Aqua Green colours. I edged the card in Versafine Clair "Pine Cone" dark brown ink to get a more grunge look, then mounted it on to a brown card and then a red card blank.
A very quick card to make. I used a stitched edge rectangle die to cut a piece of patterned paper from the Funky Fossil Designs "Patina" paper pad. I stuck it to the middle of a white card blank.
Then using an off cut of white card, I used one of the dies from the Funky Fossil Designs "Fern Die Set" and cut the fern using the Sizzix Big Shot. I used a wet glue to secure the die over the patterned paper rectangle.
I used a gold coloured Signo Unibal pen to add dots on the patterned paper and I also drew around the edge of the rectangle.
Finally, I use Versafine Clair "Twilight" dark blue ink to stamp the "Celebrate" sentiment, which is part of the Funky Fossil Designs "Small Print" stamp set.
The other day, I attempted to make a tag and towards the end, I managed to drop an ink pad face down on to my pretty tag. I attempted to rescue it, but it just wasn't what I had in my head. Today, I had another attempt at it.
Starting with a white tag, I lay the Funky Fossil Designs "Urchins" stencil over the top and added Ranger Opaque Texture Paste through areas of the stencil. I then set it aside to dry.
Once dry, I used a Funky Fossil blending brush to apply colour to the tag, using "Rose Madder" Ranger Archival Ink, which is a pretty coral/rose colour. Then, using a black Posca Pen, I tapped paint across the surface of the tag.
On a separate piece of white card, using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink, I stamped the vase, which is part of the Funky Fossil Designs "Beauty's Garden" stamp set. For placement, I also stamped the vase on the tag. I then stamped the flower, which is also part of the same stamp set.
I shaded the vase stamped on the piece of white card using Derwent Charcoal Pencils and a white gel pen. I then fussy cut the vase, sticking foam pads on the back and then placed in position.
Finally, using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink, I stamped the word "Miss You" which is part of the Funky Fossil "Small Print" stamp set.
***As a matter of interest, here is the tag that I first made, where I attempted to recover half of the original inky tag after I had dropped an ink pad on it.
Today is Day 64 of the Tiffany Johnson Creative #100daysartplay Challenge. There is a new prompt for this week "Dollar Tree Finds" but as I'm in the UK and don't have a Dollar Tree shop I'll make a card a day with a varied theme.
I started with a sheet of patterned paper from a Funky Fossil Designs paper stack, which I seem to recall was called "Kaleidoscope". I cut the paper down and stuck it on to some bright yellow card then on to a piece of white card.
Using some of the same white and yellow card, I cut the flowers, using the Funky Fossil Designs "Doodle Blooms" die set. I coloured the larger petals of the middle flower by adding a touch of "Squeezed Lemonade" Distress Oxide Ink, then stuck the elements on to the card using wet glue. Then added some "Outrageous" Liquid Pearls to the middle of the flowers.
Finally, on a piece of white card, I stamped the sentiment of "Hello Sunshine" using Versafine Clair "Charming Pink" ink and a sentiment from the Funky Fossil "Small Print" stamp set.
I made a quick card for a male this morning. When I say quick, it really was. It was made, written and in its envelope withing ten minutes!
I've used products by Funky Fossil Designs for this card, starting by stamping the horse image, which is part of the "Free Spirit" stamp set, in Versafine Clair "Twilight", which is a dark blue ink.
I then applied "Shadow Gray" Archival Ink through the "Burlap Texture Stencil" fading the colour out towards the edges.
Using Versafine Clair 'Twilight" again, I stamped the sentiment, which is part of the Funky Fossil "Small Print" stamp set. Finally I added three sticky backed grey dots to the stamped image.
Earlier today, I made a card for a challenge set by Eileen Godwin. I enjoyed the process, so made another card.
For this card, I have used "Sky Blue" Archival Ink through the Funky Fossil Designs "Pin cushion pattern stencil".
I then used "Watering Can" Archival Ink throught the Funky Fossil "Birds in flight" stencil.
Next, using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink, I stamped the foliage, which is part of the Funky Fossil "In the meadow" stamp set.
I used the same ink to stamp the sentiment of "Be Brave", which is part of the Funky Fossil "Small Print" stamp set.
Another card created today, which is quite a contrast to the previous one. I have used a selection of products from Funky Fossil Designs for this card.
I started by using Versafine Clair "Chianti" dark red ink to stamp and then heat emboss using Wow! Clear Embossing Powder the architectural drawing.
I then used the Funky Fossil "Brick Wall" stencil with two shades of Distress Oxide inks: Tea Dye and Antique Linen through the stencil.
Finally, I stamped the sentiments, using two stamp sets from Funky Fossil: Small Print and Small Print 2 in Versafine Clair "Chianti" dark red ink.
I've had a few days of no crafting but lots of reading, which has been lovely, but this afternoon I had the urge to make something, so created this card using a selection of Funky Fossil Design goodies.
I started by die cutting the inner and outer edge of the postage shape stamp, using the Funky Fossil "Happy Mail Die Set" with white card.
Using the inner piece (the one with the straight edges), I stamped the snail from the Funky Fossil "Shellebrate" stamp set, using Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink. I then stamped the same image on a post-it note, fussy cutting the shape to create a mask for the snail, which I lay over the stamped image on the white card.
Using Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink I stamped the Funky Fossil "Wonky Candles". I then lifted started to colour in the background, using a mix of "Tumbled Glass" and "Twisted Citron" Distress Oxide inks.
Next, I lifted the mask and started colouring in the snail, using a mix of Distress Oxide inks (Pumice Stone, Weathered Wood, Hickory Smoke, Mowed Lawn and Blueprint Sketch) and an assortment of Posca Pens.
I coloured the candles using various colours of Posca Pens, then outlined the snail using a fine point marker pen. I grounded the snail using a pastel pencil and added some white highlights to various areas.
I used "Blueprint Sketch" Distress Oxide Ink to edge both the inner and outer areas of the two die cut pieces of card. I then mounted the coloured image on to the perforated edge and stuck it on to a white card blank.
The sentiment is part of the Funky Fossil "Small Print" stamp set, which was stamped in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink.
Finally, I added Ranger "Glossy Accents" to the eyes and the shell of the snail and set aside to dry. This created a more three dimensional look to the card.
I'm a little bit over making Christmas things, so to ring the changes I made a pretty floral card, using the now retired "Blooming Wreath" stamp set by Funky Fossil Designs.
I stamped the wreath in a "Fade Out ink" and coloured the image with Derwent Inktense Water Colour Pencils, applying the colour with a fine paint brush.
The sentiment is part of another stamp set by Funky Fossil Designs, called "Small Print", stamped in Versafine Clair 'Morning Mist" grey ink.
Today I have made a CAS card using two stencils and a stamp set from Funky Fossil Designs
I used "Saltwater Taffy" Distress Oxide Ink through the Funky Fossil "Round in dots stencil".
I then used "Unchartered Mariner" Distress Oxide Ink through the Funky Fossil "Meadow flower silhouette stencil".
Finally, stamping a sentiment from the Funky Fossil "Small Print stamp set", using "Warm Breeze" Versafine Clair ink.
This afternoon, I pulled a couple more Funky Fossil Designs stencils from my stash to play with making this simple card.
I masked off the edges of the card and used Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" through the "Simply Stripes" stencil. Using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink through the Funky Fossil "Meadow Flower Silhouette" stencil. I used the same ink for the sentiment, which is part of the Funky Fossil "Small Print" stamp set.
It's Day 4 of the "24 Days of Tags Challenge with Karen Telfer". I used an alternative stencil and sentiment as I didn't have the same that Karen used.
For my tag, I covered the base with "Antique Linen" Distress Oxide Ink, as i thought the white may look too stark.
I used the Funky Fossil Designs "Leaf Trio Stencil" with "Tea Dye", "Festive Berries" and "Black Soot" Distress Oxide Inks.
I used Versafine Clair "Nocturne' black ink to stamp the sentiment, which is part of a Funky Fossil Stamp set called "Small Print".
So half way through the challenge now, here's my Day 15 make for #thdailymarker30day colouring challenge.
I masked off a circle and used the Funky Fossil "Micro Dots" stencil with Distress oxide inks to create the dotty frame.
In the middle I stamped the bird which is part of the Funky Fossil Designs "Toucan Talk" stamp set, stamped in Versafine Clair 'Twilight" ink, then coated in Wow! Clear Embossing powder then heat set. I coloured the Toucon with a selection of Distress Oxide Inks and Posca Pens.
I created a mask for the toucon popping it over the top of the coloured image and then filled the background in with "Peacock Feathers" Distress Oxide Ink.
Finally, I stamped the word "Celebrate" which is part of the Funky Fossil "Small Talk" stamp set.

I've used one of the Carabelle Studio "Little Skittles" stamps, coloured with Distress Oxide Inks.
For the background, I have used a Funky Fossil stencil called "Scribbles". The sentiment is also by Funky Fossil and is part of their "Small Print" stamp set.
Today has been a day when none of my crafting attempts have turned out, all ending in the bin. I did however save a small off cut of a Brusho background and after having dinner decided to make a quick little card, which I am happy with.
Over the Brusho background, I used the Funky Fossil "Fern Silhouette Background Stencil" with "Abandoned Coral" Distress Oxide Ink.
I used the Funky Fossil "In The Meadow" stamp set for the flowers, stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.
Finally, I used a sentiment from the Funky Fossil "Small Print" stamp set, stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink. I used the same ink to edge the card before mounting it on black card and then a white card blank.
Today is the day that Funky Fossil Designs launch a selection of new products on their web site, including this fabulous new stamp set called "Flowery Felines" designed by the super talented Donna Gray.
For this sample, I have used paper that I used to mop up ink from my craft mat from a previous project. I cut it to a square and then used the new Funky Fossil A7 Chevron stamp, with Wow! clear embossing ink and powder to stamp the chevrons and then heat set, to give a bit of texture to the background.
I stamped the cat, part of the "Flowery Felines" stamp set in Verafine "Vintage Sepia" brown ink. I coloured the cat using "Antique Linen Distress Oxide Inks and coloured the flowers using "Twisted Citron", "Mowed Lawn" and "Worn Lipstick" Disttress Oxides. I fussy cut the image and adhered on to the card base prepared.
Finally, I used the Funky Fossil "Small Print" stamp set for the sentiment with Versafine Clair "Glamorous" ink.
This is my final preview sample, using the new Funky Fossil Designs A7 stamps. The six new stamps will be available on the Funky Fossil web site from tomorrow, Friday 4th June 2021.
Once dry, I stamped the new A7 Chevrons, using Versafine Clair "Glamorous" pink ink. Using the same ink, I stamped the "Live your life in full colour" sentiment, which is part of the Funky Fossil "Small Print" stamp set, finally sticking three bright flower shaped buttons to the edge of the card.

For this sample, I have used the new "A7 Letter Press" stamp, over a Brusho background.
The "Thinking of you" sentiment is part of the Funky Fossil "Small Print" stamp set and is stamped in Versafine Clair "Green Oasis" ink. I think this card would be fab as a thank you for a teacher.

For this sample, I have used the "A7 Vintage Script" stamp over a coloured background I had created using three Distress Oxide Inks on cream coloured card (Tea Dye, Vintage Photo and Rusty Hinge).
I die cut a fern and added to the surface and then stamped the bee, which is part of the Funky Fossil "Bee Geometric" stamp set, colouring it and then inked the edges before mounting onto the brown card.
For the sentiment, I used the "thinking of you" from the Funky Fossil "Small Print" stamp set.
