Hello My Friend Card

I love the CAS (clean and simple) look. This card made using the Stampin' Up Sale-A-Bration "Hello" stamp set fits nicely into that category.

I don't recall the manufacturer or the name of the dies I've used for this card.

Banana & Chocolate Cake

Today I made a couple of banana & chocolate cakes. They seem to be a hit as by 5pm one of the cakes had nearly all gone.

The recipe I used is a standard sponge recipe, but instead of adding the all the 3 tablespoon of milk to make the mixture more moist, I added mashed banana  & choc chips also about 1 tablespoon of milk. Cooked at 180 for about 30 minutes.

The icing is butter, icing sugar &  cocoa powder mixed together with a touch of milk, then added cooled melted dark chocolate & mixed.

Swimmingly Card & Tag

Another night if minimal sleep so I made this card.

Mainly Stampin' Up products used. Embossed card using the "Seaside" embossing folder.  The fish, anchor & sentiment are from the "Seaside Shore" set of stamps.  On a roll, I also made this card using the same set.

I also made these tags using off cuts of patterned paper.

Wish You Were Here Card

I used a stamped postcard image for this card & lightly coloured some of the areas, using a die to achieve the stitched effect edge.

Prima-esque Tag

Taking inspiration from a piece of 12x12 scrapbook paper by Prima, I made this tag in a similar style.

I started by finding an off cut of patterned paper which I stuck to a tag, using an embossing folder for the texture.  I then used three different inks to colour areas of the tag.

Using Stampin' Up "Swirly Scribble" and  "Beautiful Branches", I die cut the wreath and leaves. Layering them with some punched foliage too. I then used four layers of flowers in different shades and sizes to create the flower, holding it together with a central brad. I made the sentiment tag, layering the two green colours and stamping "Thank You". I then tucked it in below the flower.

The raised dots are actually domed self adhesive cupboard door slam protectors which I found in the hardware shop.

Floral Heart Card

While in bed this morning, my mind turned to ways to use the Stampin' Up "Detailed Floral Thinlit Dies". Nothing like striking while the iron is hot, I got up and made this card.

In hindsight, I should have embossed the cerise background to add a little interest, which I may do if I make another version of this card.

Without using a sentiment, I think this card can be very versatile covering several occasions.

The Blue Dress

I've not sewn for a few weeks, so today I made a blue dress. The fabric is a blue cotton with a small white floral design in it.

The pattern that I used is "New Look" 6095.  It's the third  time I have used this pattern. I had previously made the dress in a larger size and made a tote to match.
