For this card, I used a piece of water colour card for the base, I very lightly drew a grid of nine squares and then coloured the squares by painting each one in Distress Oxide Inks, The colours I used for the squares are:Spiced Marmalade, Abandoned Coral and Gathered Twigs.
Using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink, I stamped the flower, the bird and the word Protea, which are all part of the Tracy Evans stamp set called "Amongs The Flowers TE61". I stamped the flower head atain on to a piece of white card, fussy cut it and glued it over the one on the card base. I then used a 2B pencil and a paper stub to shade the petals on the flower,
I added highlights to the flower and bird using a white gel pen. I then added a pattern to each square in the background using a gold coloured gel pen.
