Day 25 of #thedailymarker30day challenge (August 2021)

Day 25 of #thedailymarker30day challenge and I've opted for another CAS card.

I've used a Hobby Art Stamp set called "Partridge in a pear tree" for the main image, coloured in Distress Oxide Inks and Signo Pens.

The sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp set called "Tiny Words Christmas" and is stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink.

Thinking of you card using a "Leafy Mandala Stencil" from #funkyfossil

This is one of my first Design Team makes for Funky Fossil Designs:https://www.funkyfossil.co.uk/

To celebrate being part of the Funky Fossil new Design Team, Sarah has generously provided a discount code that I can offer to you.   A 15% off coupon code to be used from now, till midnight on Monday 23rd September 2019.  Quote the code "FFSAM15" to claim the reduction.

For this card, I used a base of Kraft cardstock (kraft feels a little bit like a recycled product).  I used a Brilliance Ink called "Moonlight White" through the Funky Fossil Designs "Leafy Mandala Stencil" to create the background image.

In the bottom right hand corner, I stamped the sentiment, which is from a Hobby Art set called "Greetings For Friends - CS158D), stamped in Versafine "Olympia Green" shade of ink.

Using two shades of green card, I die cut the Creative Expressions foliage pieces and adhered into position.  I used some paper flowers I had in my stash, adhering them into position using a Docrafts Stick It Silicon Glue.

Finally, I added some sticky back pearl gems to various points of the mandala.

Design Team Make 28th December 2018 (Something New) - My Time To Craft Challenge #387

It's time for another prompt from the "My Time To Craft Challenge Blog", this time the prompt is "Something New".

I went rummaging in my paper off-cuts box to make this card.  It's nice to make something out of nothing.  I used a Papertrey Ink die from the "Love Lives Here" set for the house shape.  I die cut a couple of nesting circles, stuck them together and added the little house shape and added a contrasting heart for the centre of the house.

The sentiment is from a Hobby Art set called "General Greetings", stamped in a Memento ink, in a "Rhubarb Stalk" shade.  I then mounted the card onto a piece of matching patterned paper (which was from the Pretty Posy stack I'd purchased from The Range, some time ago.

Tree With Ornaments (Hero Arts) Christmas Card

For more years that I care to remember I have made Christmas cards using the Hero Arts "Tree With Ornaments" stamp.  It has to be my most used stamp and the results never disappoint.

The image is stamped in Versafine "Smokey Grey' and painted using water colour pencils.  The sentiment is from a Hobby Art Ltd set (CS010D).

Finally, I added some twinkly gold shimmer using a Sakura Jelly Roll Pen.

Gatefold Birthday Card

I made this gatefold card for my Sister-in-law who is celebrating her birthday. Here is the front of the card with both flaps closed.

This view shows the card open - it doesn't photograph very well I'm afraid.

This is an image of the front and back of the card laid flat.

I used Stampin' Up patterned paper, a Spellbinder's die called "Royal Circle" and the sentiment stamp is by Hobby Arts from their "General Greetings" set.

Gardening Robin Tag - Hobby Art Stamps

Another reason for it being a "Happy Post" Day is that I received a small order of stamps from Hobby Art Ltd.  My order consisted of Robins and Puffins.  I wasted no time in making this tag using the "Gardening Robin FMGR09F" stamp.

I heat embossed the snowflakes.  Stamped the sentiment in Versafine then stamped the robin/spade image.  I coloured the image in with a damp paint brush and Distress Inks.  I added a little shimmer using a Sakura Jelly Roll Pen.

Week 11 - 52 Week Mini Art Card / Tag Challenge 2018

The prompt for week 11 is "Nautical".

I've made two tags for this week, which are quite different but still appropriate for the prompt.

The first tag has a blended background of Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks.  The two sentiments are both from the same set by Hobby Art Ltd, called "By The Sea" CS038D.  The central seascape is a Rubbadubbadoo stamp from their set called "Mostly For Men" SNSDM-MM.

The second tag has a striped patterned paper background with a net look stamped across the surface using a Creative Expressions stamp called "Chicken Wire".  I used a die cut to replicate the weeds growing up the tag.  The stamped anchor is from a Stampin' Up set called "The Open Sea", I then inked the edges of the tag.

Dachshund Birthday Card

Our little smiler, Jacob, our Grandson, will be two years old in a couple of weeks.  I'd had an idea in my head of the card I wanted to make and this evening I decided to put it together.

I'd purchased a set of Hobby Art stamps (called Dogz CS130D) with assorted breeds of dogs on.  As a child, I grew up with a Dachshund so it kind of seemed natural to go with that for this card.

I stamped the dog, coloured it with Promarkers and then cut it out.  I cut a strip of grey cardstock and stuck it to the base of the card to mimic a pavement. I then used a stamp (I think it may be from a Pennyblack set) for the grass.

On checking my stamps, I found the buzzy bee, it's one I've had for a while, so I don't recall where it came from, but I stamped it on the top right of the card, again colouring with Promarkers.

For the balloon, I used a Stampin' Up set called "Party This Way" and stamped in Ranger Adirondack Bright, Citrus.  Using a Tim Holtz Distress Ink and a wet paintbrush I painted the streaky sky.  I added a couple of clouds and a string to the balloon.

Using a Papertrey Ink stamp from their "Stylish Sentiments" set I stamped the "Happy Birthday".  Finally, I stuck the coloured image of the dog and added a googly eye.

Decay Tag

Crafting the past few days has been a bit thin on the ground.  It's as if I'm all crafted out.  I couldn't sleep so got up early, sat at my craft desk and pondered, resulting in this very grunge looking tag.

I had prepared the background some time ago, using Gesso through a brick work stencil.  I accelerated the drying time by using a heat gun.  Once dry, I then rubbed a mix of yellow and green ink across the surface, which left the majority of the white Gesso exposed.

I added some weeds using a Hobby Art stamp from their "Dandelion Wishes" set.  The cracks in the wall and the cat were both stamps from a Visible Image set called "Create It".  I then inked the edges in shades of beige, red and black.  Finally, I used my new Christmas gadget, Brother P-touch H100LB label maker to create the words.
