Lavinia Stamps "Coven of Curiosities - Make 11 - Tag Tuesday

I've been up stupidly early, 1:30am to be exact as I couldn't sleep.  Too much "stuff" whirling round my head.  So I decided to get up and potter in the craft room, eventually making a tag.

I used the Lavinia Stamps "Waffle Stencil" for the background, with grey and blue ink that was on my blending brush from a previous project. I used Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink to stamp "Penelope", "Specter the raven" and the "Hallowmere" sign post,

I used a moon mask and Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink for the spotlight/moon, filling the area with a subtle glitter from using a "Wink of Steller".  I then used the same ink with the torn edge of a piece of copy paper to create the landscape.  Using a 2B pencil and black fine liner for shadows and grass, adding a touch of colour with Posca Pens for the flowers and a white gel pen on "Penelope" the witch.

Lavinia Stamps "Coven of Curiosities" - Make 10

I'm still playing with the new release of stamps by Lavinia Stamps called "Coven of Curiosities".  I've paired some of them with older stamps and stencils.

I started with one of the new "Autumn Mist" stencils, applying two colours of Versafine Clair ink through the stencil (Summertime orange and Chianti dark red).  I used Versafine Clair "Acorn" brown ink to stamp the Lavinia "Oak Leaves" and "Acorn Abode".  I then stamped the broomstick using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.  I used the same ink to stamp the little "Pixy Houses".

I used the Lavinia Stamps "Glory" stencil for the background pattern using "Avocado" green ink.  I then edges the card with "Shady Lane" Versafine Clair ink.  I created the landscape using the torn edge of copy paper and Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink.

I painted the acorn and oak leaves using Distress oxide Inks, applied with a paint brush.  I added touches of a 2B pencil, a gold and white gel pen across the piece

Lavinia Stamps "Coven of Curiosities" - make 9

I'm still smitten and creating with the fabulous new release from Lavinia Stamps called "Coven of Curiosities" making this card.

Using one of the new "Autumn Mist" stencils with two shades of Versafine Clair inks *Baby Pink" and "Charming Pink".  I then used "Pink Peony" Ranger Archival Ink through the Lavinia Stamps "Feather Leaf" stencil.

I used Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink to stamp one of the witches from the older Lavinia stamp set called "Coven of the blue moon", using the same ink for theblower witch from the latest release called "Prue".

I stamped the new Lavinia "Magic Dwells" verse in "Baby Pink" Versafine Clair ink.  I then used the torn edge of a piece of paper and Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" ink to create the landscape. I grounded the stamps using a 2B pencil, finally adding some touches of white gel pen to the witches and the paint drips.

Lavinia Stamps "Abstract Zia"

It's funny when you look at some things, you see things others may miss - or maybe it's just my strange thought progress?  Anyway, this happened with this stencil, which is part of the Lavinia Stamps new release of a set of 4 stencils called "Autumn Mist Collection". All I could see was shoulder length ladies (or mens) hair, which made me laugh to myself.

I then took is a stage further, by adding the printed laminate sheet over the hair of Lavinia Stamps "Zia", which made me laugh even more!

I thought of this on Friday.  Today is Sunday and it has been playing on my mind, so I decided to have a rather random play, not thinking too much about what I did and the colours I used.  The card at the top is the result of my play session, it's a little bit "abstract" and likely not to everybodies taste, but a play session it was and I have now "scratched that itch".

I've used the following products:

Lavinia - Autumn Mist Stencil

Lavinia  - Zia (face) stamp

Lavinia - Head dress stamp

Lavinia - Coral Stencil

Lavinia - Creativity word stamp

Versafine Clair inks in lots of different colours

Gold gel pen

52 Week Mini Art Card / Tag Challenge 2025 - Week 37

The Crafting Niche 52 Week Mini Art Card/Tag Challenge 2025:

This is a weekly challenge. I provide you with a prompt/theme each Sunday morning through out the year.  The challenge is very relaxed.  You can do as much or as little as you like.  You can create cards, tags, Artist Trading Cards (ATC's) or index cards, the choice is yours. You just go with what ever is in your head at the time.  You can stamp, get inky, use patterned papers, texture, embellish it is all down to you.

There is a dedicated private Facebook Group, with a lovely bunch of people who are already sharing their makes from previous challenges.  You can find the group by clicking this link.  I'd love you to join in.

The prompt for Week 37 "Layers"

A minimal description for this tag, as I raided my odds and end box of papers.  I covered a tag with a piece of patterend paper then stamped numbers, letters and scripts, which were part of a Funky Fossil Designs stamp set called "Musings" in two shades of Versafine Clair inks (Bali Blue and Warm Breeze). I then added some splatters of white Posca Pen.

I tore of the paper covering on a piece of cardboard to expose the ridges then inked the ridges and edges using Versafine Clair "Portobello" brown ink.

I added torn pages of text and music notes from some old books along with fragments of patterned paper.  To top the tag, I found some die cut butterflies that had come with a magazine, so topped the tag with those.

Lavinia Stamps "Coven of Curiosities" New Release - Make 8

Yet another make, using one of the new "Coven of Curiosities" release by Lavinia Stamps.

I rummaged through my folder of prepared backgrounds and came across an orange. red and blue Brusho piece that I thought would lend itself to what I had in mind.

Using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink, I stamped the Lavinia Stamps "Book of Spells" and the sentiment that came with the book stamp.  I then used the Lavinia Stamps "Paint Splatters" stamp with Versafine Clair "Arctic" blue ink to uniform the blue Brusho area and to provide a more textured area.

Next, over the yelloe/red Brusho area, I used Versafine Clair "Summertime", orange ink to stamp the Lavinia "Magic Dwells" verse stamp.

Returning to Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink, I stamped the birds, which are part of the new Lavinia stamp set called "Ravens".  I also used a mini star stamp to add more stars around the ravens.

I edged the card with Versafine Clair "Medieval Blue" ink.  I used a gold coloured gel pen in the middle of the stars and on the book pages. I then used a white gel pen to add more detail to the birds.

Lavinia Stamps "Coven of Curiosities" - Make 7

I am continuing my play with the new Lavinia Stamps release called "Coven of Curiosities" making this card.

I found a Gel Plate background in my folder, so decided to use it for the base of this card as I felt the colours worked well.

I used three colours of Versafine Clair inks:  Nocturne, Morning Mist and Twilight for the assorted stamping.  The Lavinia stamps I used are:  Cloche, Penelope, Bats, Mini Rune and Oak Tree.

I used Van Goch Pastel Pencils for shading areas, a black fine liner pen, a white gel pen and a 2B pencil too.

Lavinia Stamps Collage

I've had an afternoon tidying my craft room. It wasn't especially messy, just a few things were getting on my nerves and needed to be changed.  However, I got distracted making this collage.

When I visited the Lavinia Stamps Shop, aka "The Dreamatorium|, my purchased were packed in beautiful tissue paper with Lavinia designs on it - obviously too good to throw away, so I carefully folded it, knowing it would "come in handy for something".  I'm sure many of you do the exact same thing.

Anyway, I decided to cut out three of the images and make a collage, using off cuts of Lavinia Stamps patterned papers.

I stamped the leaves and the stars in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink and "Rain Forest" a deep green ink.  Finally adding touches of a white gel pen to the leaves and a silver glitter pen to the stars.

Lavinia Stamps "The Coven of Curiosities" - Make 6

How can I be on my sixth make with the new Lavinia  Stamps release called "Coven of Curiosities"!  I have to say, I am really loving this collection!

I put some "Greensleeves" and "Olive" Elements Inks on my glass mat, gave it a spritz of water then placed the Lavinia Stamp "Ivy" stencil over the top.  I used a kitchen towel to mop up and press the stencil down on to the ink, then placed the stencil (wet side down) on to a plain tag.  This transferred the now coloured ivy pattern on to the tag.

I used Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink to stamp "Esme" the witch, a bird from the new "Ravens' stamp set, and text from "Spirit Signs" stamp set.  I used Versafine Clair "Pinecone" to stamp the "Tree of Wisdom" stamp.

I edged the tag with "Lime Punch: and then "Pine" Elements inks, colouring the tree trunk with Distress Oxide Inks.  Using touches of yellow Posca pen for flowers and a white gel pen for details to the witch.

Lavinia Stamps "Coven of the Curiosities" - Make 5

Here's a tag I made using "Anwen" and the "Witch Hazel" branches which are part of the new Lavinia Stamps "Coven of Curiosities" new release from Lavinia Stamps.

Using a white tag, I appliked "Pebble Beach" Ranger Archival Ink through the Lavinia Stamps "Feather Leaf" stencil, fading out the colour towards the top and sides.

Using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink, I stamped one of the new witch stamps from Lavinia Stamps, this one is called "Anwen".  I also stamped the new "Witch Hazel" branches too.

I used Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink to create the landscape using a hill mask,  I used one of the Lavinia Moon Masks with the "Pebble Beach" Archival ink I used through the stencil.

I decided more detail was needed, so using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink, I added the Lavinia "Bats" to the sky, the cat called "Mini Rune" and extra branches to the trees using the Lavininia "Hazel" branch.

I added a touch of colour tothe lantern using a Pastel Pencil.  I added shadows using a 2B pencil and touches of white gel pen to the witches outfit.

Lavinia Stamps "Coven of Curiosities" New Release - Make 4

My fourth make with the new release goodies from Lavinia Stamps is a mix of older and new products.

I used a piece of patterned paper for the base of this card, using one of the new "Autumn Mist" stencils and the new "Paint Splatter" stamp with Versaine Clair Inks.

I used Versafine Clair 'Nocturne" black ink to stamp "Mini Pipin", the flowers from the "Foliage Set" and one of the birds from the new "Ravens" stamp set.

I used pastel pencils to accentuate some of the colours and white Pan Pastel through the Lavinia "White Orbs" stencil.  Finally adding touches of white gel pen, black fine liner and black Posca Pen.

Lavinia Stamps "Coven of Curiosities" new release - make 3

When I first saw the cute little witches in the Lavinia Stamps "Coven of Curiosities" new release, which is available to purchase from today, I had in my mind how I would like to create a card. This is what I had in mind an ink pad card.

My ink pad of choice for this card was the "Speckled Egg" Distress Oxide Ink pad.  I inked the edge of the lid and then put it down on the card.  I then painted the inner area of the square with the same ink, drying with a heat gun.

Using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink, I stamped the "Hallowmere" sign post and "Penelope" the little witch.

I used one of the Lavinia "Hill Masks" with Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink to create the landscape.  While the ink was out, I added the moon/spotlight circle behind the witch uisng a mask.

Using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink, I added some stamped foliage using the "Mini Leaf 2" stamp around the base of the signpost. I then used the same ink to stamp the "Mini Leaf Creeper" on the top right hand corner.

I added touches of black fine liner pen for shadows, a white gel pen for detail on the the dress and leaves and Posca Pens for the flowers in the foreground.  Finally stamping the "Magic Dwells" verse below the image, using Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink,

Lavinia Stamps "Coven of Curiosities" card 2

I'm feeling inspired by the new collection called 'Coven of Curiosities" by Lavinia Stamps so made another card.

I used one of the older Lavina Stamps stencils called "Posy" with a "Violet" Archival Ink applied very lightly as I didn't want the pattern to dominate the card.

Using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink, I stamped "Prue" the witch and one of the "Witch Hazel" branches for a tree.

I used Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink with the Lavinia "Moon Mask" and "Hill Mask".  where I had created the land, I added some touches of green pastel pencil to give a hint of colour.

I used a white gel pen to add detail to the witch and a black fine liner pencil to add shadows and tree roots and dots of Posca Pen for flowers.

Lavinia Stamps "Coven of Curiosities" new release stamps

I was very fortunate to receive my set of the brand new Lavinia release called "Coven of Curiosities" stamps and stencil set, so couldn't wait to get playing with them making this card.

I have used one of the new Lavinia "Autumn Mist" collection stencils with two shades of Versafine Clair (Arctic and Warm Breeze) inks.  Adding extra depth using "Verdant" green ink. I used Versafine Clair ""Avocado" through the Lavinia "Flurry" stencil. fading out towards the edge.

Using Versafine Clair "Twilight" dark blue ink, I stamped the new Lavinia stamp called "Witch Hazel".

I then used Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink to stamp "Specter" the raven and two of the ravens from the "ravens" stamp set.

I used the new "Paint Splatter stamp" with Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" ink, stamped in first and second generation stamping. Using Versafine Clair "Arctic" light blue ink, I multi stamped the verse around the edge of the card.

I then stamped the sentiment, which is part of an old Lavinia stamp set called "Let your spirit take flight" samped in Versafine Clair  'Nocturne" black ink.

I inked the edges of the card, first with Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" and then the very outer edge with Versafine Clair "Twilight" dark blue ink

I added extra depth of colour to areas using Van Goch pastel pencils.  I added blue dots of Posca Pen to the branches and white gel pen to the birds and the paint drips.  Finally adding some black dots of Posca pen then added dots of "Prickly Pear" Liquid Pearls.

Lavinia Stamps "Coven of the blue moon" Halloween Card

Being on the cusp of the changing seasons, makes me think of halloween, which prompted this card.

In the background, I have used the Lavinia Stamps "Dynamic" stencil and their "Moon Mask", with a lilac and blue/grey ink that was left on my blending brushes from a previous project.

Using Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink, I stamped the Lavinia "Spring Trees", using the hill mask to create the landscape with the same ink.

I then used Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink to stamp one of the witches from the Lavinia  "Coven of the blue moon" stamp set and "Mini Jinx" the cat.

I added extra detail to the trees using a 2B pencil, a white gel pen and a black fine liner.  Adding shodows to the trees, figure and cat using the ink on a small blending brush.

Tim Holtz Paper Doll on wax resist background

A little background to this tag.  About two years ago, I had some Distress Oxide Inks (Antique Linen, Brushoed Corduroy, Vintage Photo and Specikled Egg), on my glass mat, so instead of wasting them, I decided to put them on a tag, but before I did that, I ran a Brusho wax resist crayon over the surface in a very rough cross hatch pattern.  I added the inks and the crayon did it's job, by exposing the crayon.  Once the tag was dry, I put it away for another day and forgot about it.

I had a bit of a tidying / tweak session to my craft cupboard this afternoon and came across the long forgotten tag, so decided to do something with it.  I added some more Distrss Oxide Inks to it.  This time, Forest Moss and Ground Espresso.

I splattered Aqua Green and Black Posca Pens across the surface of the tag.  Once dry I then used Versafine Clair "Twilight" dark blue ink to stamp the lines on the tag.  The stamp is part of a Tim Holtz / Stampers Anonymous stamp and stencil set with a reference of THMM114.  While the ink was out, I also stamped the leaves which are part of a Marianne Designs "Silhouette Art - CS1181" stamp set.  I then fussy cut the foliage and stuck it into position on the tag.

Using the stencil from the same stamp and stencil set mentioned above, I applied texture paste through some of the holes.  The white texture paste took on some of the colour from the oxide inks below which made it look less stark.

Finally, I added a Tim Holtz Paper doll figure and a word sticker from the Tim Holtz Clipping Stickers set.

Tracy Evans Boutique Designs "New Beginnings TE4" Gel Plate Card

An early morning play session for me today making this card.  I used a circular gel plate background I had in my stash.

I pulled a page from an old Welsh hymn book with music notes on it and stamped the large flower, which is part of the Tracy Evans Boutique Designs "new Beginnings - TE4" stamp set.  I then added a wash of colour to the flower using two shades of Distress Oxide Inks.  I used Wild Honey and Ripe Persimmon.  I then fussy cut the flower.

For placement, I then stamped the flower again on to the edge of the gel plate circle.

Using Versafine Clair "Shady Lane" green ink I stamped the ferns, which are part of the Tracy Evans "Fern - TE3" stamp set.

I used the "New Beginnings" stamp set again for the bird.  Stamping it on to the card for placement using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.  I then stamped it again on a bright yellow gel plate off cut I had in my stash, fussy cut the bird and then stuck it over the image on the card.

Finally, I added some dots of metallic gold gel pen and also some dots of black Posca Pen. I'll add a sentiment at a later date when the card is needed.

Lavinia Stamps "Dream" card / journal page

I've had a messy, but enjoyable couple of hours making this card/journal page today,

I started with a square piece of white card which I lightly spritzed with water.  I lay the Lavinia Stamps "Charming" stencil over the top then lightly sprinkled two shades of Colourcraft "Brusho" paint granules over the surface.  The colours I used were Gamoge and Sea Green.  I removed the stencil and used a heat gun to dry the surface.

I then used Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" ink to stamp the two corners using the Lavinia Stamps "Tangled River Root Corner stamp.

Next, I used two shades of Versafine Clair ink (Cheerful and Summertime) to stamp the Lavinia "Texture 1" stamp.  Using Versafine Clair "Twilight" dark blue ink, I stamped the word "Dream" which is part of a Lavinia stamp set called "Inspire me".

On an off cut of the Brusho background, I stamped the Lavinia verse called "Magic Surrounds Us" in Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" ink.  I then tore the piece into two sections and then tore the edges, inking them with Versafine Clair "Summertime" orange ink.

I used Versafine Clair "Summertime Ink to stamp the Lavinia "Moss Flowers" stamps, which I then fussy cut and stuck on to the card.

Finally, I added yellow dots of Posca Pen on to the corner details. I added dots of "Prickly Pear" Liquid Peals to the middle of the flowers and also to some of the now yellow dots to add variety.

This is a weekly challenge. The prompt for Week 36 "Book Print"

I have about five old books that I often tear pages out of to use in my crafting.  One is just normal text, two are hymn books with words and the music notes, one an old dictionary and the other is an accountancy book (lots of text and balance sheets).  These provide me with a good choice.

I used Lavinia "Elements Inks" to colour my book page.  The colours I used are: Lemon Drop, Russet Orange, Green Parrot, Blue Atoll and Pine inks.  I then stuck the page on to a plain tag, trimming to size.

Once the ink was dry, I added some splatters of white Posca Pen across the surface of the tag.

On a white piece of card, using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink, I stamped the two heads, which are part of a Visible Image stamp set called "Love is Love".  I then fussy cut the heads and stuck on to the tag, again trimming to size.

After mounting the tag on to a piece of black card, I added a word sticker from my stash that says ""listen to your heart, it will show you the way".

Marianne Designs Christmas Wreath Card

I recently bought some Christmas Marianne Design stamps, so decided to try them out.

I started by using "Shadow Grey" Ranger Archival Ink througha Dina Wakley "Coasters 3 - MDS82118 stencil" for the background design.

I had brought five Christmas Marianne Designs "Silhoutte Art" stamps, so decided to use all of them. Stamped in Versafine Clair inks, three greens, a brown and a grey. I coloured the stamped images with Derwent Inktense pencils, Posca Pen and a white gel pen. For the candles, I used "Antique Linen" Distress Oxide Ink, applied with a paint brush.

Karen Telfer's "12 Days of Christmas Tags 2024" - book ring covers

As I finished my Day 12 tag yesterday, today I felt I needed to make a cover for the book ring of Karen Telfer's "12 Days of Christmas Tags 2024".

I covered a plain tag in "Wild Honey" Distress Oxide Ink. I then lay the Tim Holtz / Stampers Anonymous "Gingham Layering Stencil - THS134" over the top and applied "Brushed Corduroy" Distress Oxide Ink through the stencil.

I then moved the stencil, (I realised after, I should really have flipped it so the lines went in a different direction, but it is what it is) applying "Lumberjack Plaid" Distress Oxide Ink through the stencil.

I used a metallic gold coloured paint splattered across the surface using a fan brush and set aside to dry.  This is when I die cut the 2024 numbers in a dark red coloured card.  I also typed and printed "Karen Telfer's 12 Days of Tags" giving it a coat of "Wild Honey" Distress Oxide ink to dull it down.

I then stuck the numbers and the typed title to the tag. Finally, I used a gold coloured gel pen to add polka dots to the numbers and to edge them too.

I've taken part in Karen's tag challenge for five years.  These are all the covers, all quite different!

The tag books are all packed away in a box ready to be joined by the 2025 tags later in the year.

Lavinia Stamps Winter Forest Snow Storm Tag

I had a play with my Lavinia Stamps this evening making this forest snow scene tag, it makes me feel cold just looking at it!

I've used various shades of Versafine Clair inks:  Arctic, Bali Blue, Twilight, Morning Mist and Nocturne shades of ink. to stamp the following Lavinia Stamps:  Christmas Tree Group, Small Pine Trees, the large and small Red Pines and the Snowfall Verse.

I've used Dr PH Martin bleed proof white paint for the splatters to replicate the snow storm

Tracy Evans Boutique Designs "Tweet" Card

I've had a quick play this afternoon, making this rather busy looking piece using Tracy Evans Boutique Designs stamps and stencils.

I found a gel plate background in my stash, in coral coloured tones. I used the Tracy Evans SS! - Snippet Stencil "Tweet" with a layer of "Wild Honey" Distress Oxide Ink, which I decided didn't really show, so then added some "Festive Berries" Distress Oxide Ink over the top, to make the bird more visible on the background.

I used Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink to stamp the Tracy Evans "Shadowed Elements - TE12" stamp.  I also used the same ink to stamp the bird from the Tracy Evans "New Beginnings - TE4" stamp set.

Round the edge of the tag, I used Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink to stamp the branches, which are part of the Tracy Evans "Silhouette - TE38" stamp set.

Finally, I added red berries to the branches and to three of the hearts using a Posca Pen.  I then used a gold gel pen to add polka dots to the stencilled bird in the background.

Karen Telfer's "12 Days of Christmas Tags 2024" - Day 12

On the run up to each Christmas, I usually take part in Karen Telfer's Christmas Tag challenge.  Because we were living in the caravan and I didn't have my craft supplies, I wasn't able to take part in 2024.  Now my craft room is set up, I thought I had better get cracking on the tags.  For 2024, Karen was doing 12 tags rather than 24 as she had a busy work schedule.

This is the last tag of the 2024 challenge.  I'm feeling bereft already, but Karen has assured me there will be another set of Christmas tags for 2025.  So not too long to wait.  This is my Day 12 tag (you can view Karen's tutorial here).  Today the tag is all about "favourites".

For my tag, as stencil play is one of my favourite techniques, I used greens and yellow Distress Oxide Inks, spritzed with water, lay a stencil on to the ink then put the wet inky side of the stencil down on to a blank tag, which achieved the light coloured background pattern.

I used Versafine Clair "Rain Forest" dark green ink to stamp the wreath and sentiment, which are both part of the Papertrey Ink stamp set called "Wreath For All Season".  I have had this stamp set for many years and it is definitely one of my favourites.  I used Versafine Clair "Strawberry" red ink to stamp the berries.

I used a metallic gold gel pen to add dots across the surface of the tag and to draw lines on the edge of the tag too.

Here's a photo of all 12 tags I've made from this series.

Tracy Evans Boutique Designs "Quirky Birds" Card

I received a small order from Tracy Evans Boutique Designs today,  The orders are always dispatched so fast and are beautifully packaged.  Anyway, I wasted no time in having a play.

I used a piece of Papermill Direct 300gsm Super smooth white card for the base, covering the card with "Tumbled Glass" Distress Oxide ink bordered in "Mermaid Lagoon" Distress Oxide Ink. I then used the "Mermaid Lagoon" ink through the Tracy Evans "Snippet Stencil Fronds - SS5".

I then used Versafine Clair "Blue Belle" ink to stamp the Tracy Evans "Take Flight - TE9" stamp. I made pink and white splatters across the surface using Posca Pens.

On a white piece of card, I stamped the Tracy Evans "Quirky Birds - TE10" bird uisng Versafine Clair "Charming Pink" ink. I fussy cut the bird and stuck it on to the card

Karen Telfer's "12 Days of Christmas Tags 2024" - Day 11

On the run up to each Christmas, I usually take part in Karen Telfer's Christmas Tag challenge.  Because we were living in the caravan and I didn't have my craft supplies, I wasn't able to take part in 2024.  Now my craft room is set up, I thought I had better get cracking on the tags.  For 2024, Karen was doing 12 tags rather than 24 as she had a busy work schedule.

This is the penultimate tag of the 2024 challenge.  I'm feeling bereft already, but Karen has assured me there will be another set of Christmas tags for 2025.  So not too long to wait.  This is my Day 11 tag (you can view Karen's tutorial here).

I've used a selection of Distress Oxide Inks for the scored background, stamping the Sweet Poppy Stencils "Small Fir Tree" in Versafine Clair "Spruce" adding glittered baubles to the tree using gel pens.

I used a section of the Marianne Design Creatables, ref LR0737 for the die cut window frame, prefering to leave it white rather than colouring it.  I splattered white Posca Pen on to a piece of plain vellum and backed the window frame with it, then stuck the frame to the tag over the Christmas tree.

I have a tin of assorted foliage die cuts, left over from previous projects, so I had a rummage through that and found some suitable pieces, topping it with a Stampin' up die cut in bright red.

Lavinia Stamps Willow Card

I used a cream coloured card for the base of this card, stamping the Lavinia Stamps "Willow" stamp in two shades of green Versafine Clair inks.  I used "Avocado" and "Shady Lane" in first and second generation stamping.

I then used the Lavinia Stamps "Leaf Creeper" stamp with Versafine Clair "Lilac Bloom" ink.

I went around the edge of the card using "Bundled Sage" Distress Oxide Ink and then stamped the sentiment, which is part of the Lavinia "Heartfelt Verse" stamp set in Versafine Clair "Avocado" green ink.

Tim Holtz / Stampers Anonymous Halloween Stamp & Stencil (THMM167) Autumn Card

For this card, I a cream coloured card, using three shades of Distress Oxide ink and the hand held puffer/blower tool to move the ink about on the card. The shades of ink I used are: Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin and Rusty Hinge. I then used a heat gun to gently dry the surface before I started stamping.

I used Versafine Clair "Acorn" brown ink to stamp the leaves, which are part of the Tim Holtz / Stampers Anonymous halloween stamp and stencil set with a reference of THMM167.

I then used Versafine Clair "Portobello" dark brown ink through on section of the stencil which is also part of THMM169 stamp and stencil set.  Finally, I added some dots of metallic coloured pen to add some lighter areas.

Tim Holtz / Stampers Anonymous "Halloween Leaves - THMM167" Hello Card

I have continued my play with the Tim Holtz / Stampers Anonymous THMM167 stamp and stencil set.  On this card, I have only used the stamp set though.

On a piece of blue card, I multi stamped one of the leaves in Versafine Clair "Paradise" blue ink.  I mounted it onto an off cut of double dot card and die cut the hello from the same card using the Waffle Flower "Oversized Hello 271309" stamp and die set.

Karen Telfer's "12 Days of Christmas Tags 2024" - Day 10

On the run up to each Christmas, I usually take part in Karen Telfer's Christmas Tag challenge.  Because we were living in the caravan and I didn't have my craft supplies, I wasn't able to take part in 2024.  Now my craft room is set up, I thought I had better get cracking on the tags.  For 2024, Karen was doing 12 tags rather than 24 as she had a busy work schedule.

This is my Day 10 Tag (You can watch Karen's tutorial here).

I've opted for a different colour way to Karen's tag. The Distress Oxide Inks I have used for the background are Weathered Wood, Tumbled Glass and Broken China, edging the tag in "Mermaid Lagoon".

The stamp set I have used is by Visible Image Stamps and is called "Let it snow".  I stamped the large snowflake in Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" ink and the smaller ones in "Bali Blue" ink.

I have added some silver sequins, some pearls and some clear beads to the surface of the tag.

The prompt for Week 35 "Berries"

For my Week 35 "Berries" stamp, I started with a white tag, covering the surface with two shades of Distress Oxide Inks, using "Lost Shadow" at the top and "Weathered Wood" at the bottom.

I then used the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous THMM101 stencil for the dots with "Iced Spruce" Distress Oxide Ink.  Using the same ink to blend around the edges of the tag so that the middle looked lighter.

I used Versafine Clair "Shady Lane" green ink with the Lavinia Stamps "Wreath Flourish" stamps using both the left and right stamps. I then painted the leaves with two shades of Distress Oxide Ink, using "Peeled Paint" and "Rustic Wilderness" shades of green ink.

Next, I stamped the Lavinia "Berry Wreath" stamp using Versafine Clair "Portobello" brown ink.  I coloured the berries using a red Posca Pen.

I used two shades of Versafine Clair Ink to stamp two of Lavinia "Bird Collection stamps, using "Nocturne" black ink and "Pine Cone" brown ink.

I added some small dots around the wreath using one of the Lavinia Mini stamps called "Mini Dots" stamped in Versafine Clair "Avocado" a mid green shade of ink.

Finally, I used Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink, to stamp the word "Hope" which is part of the Lavinia "Blessings" word set of stamps.

Tim Holtz / Stampers Anonymous Halloween Leaves (THMM167) Card

Today is wet and grey, it definitely feels like autumn is knocking at the door, which is likely why I made this card.

I used the reverse side of a cream coloured linen card, although in the photo it looks quite white!. I started with the leaf which is part of a Tim Holtz / Stampers Anonymous Halloween stamp and stencil set (THMM167). I used three shades of Versafine Clair ink, starting with the lighter colour of Avocado, then shady lane on the outer edges then Acorn brown ink of the very edge of the leaf.

Next, I used "Gathered Twigs"  Distress Oxide Ink through the splatters part of the same stencil the stamp came with.

I then used the Tim Holtz / Stampers Anonymous String stencil THS004 with two shades of Distress Oxide Inks:  Wild Honey and Rusty Hinge, fading the colours out towards the left and the top of the card.

I used a black Posca Pen for some black splatters.  I then used Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink to stamp the sentiment, which is part of the Tim Holtz / Stampers Anonymous "Tiny Text CMS394" stamp set for the "Make a wish" greeting.

Karen Telfer's "12 Days of Christmas Tags 2024" - Day 9

On the run up to each Christmas, I usually take part in Karen Telfer's Christmas Tag challenge.  Because we were living in the caravan and I didn't have my craft supplies, I wasn't able to take part in 2024.  Now my craft room is set up, I thought I had better get cracking on the tags.  For 2024, Karen was doing 12 tags rather than 24 as she had a busy work schedule.

This is my Day 9 Tag (You can watch Karen's tutorial here).

I used a Penny Black cling stamp for the robin and holly.  The stamp is called "Cheerful Christmas 40-642), stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink on to the tag and also on to a piece of white card.

On the tag I used two circle masks to add three rings of colour in the background, using Bundled Sage, Festive Berries and Shabby Shutters Distress Oxide Ink.  I also made splatters in these colours along with some gold paint splatters too.

I coloured both robin & holly images with Derwent Inktense Pencils applied with a paint brush.  The one on the white card, I partially fussy cut the image, used foam pads on the reverse of the image and stuck it on to the tag.

I added Ranger Glossy Accents to the berries to give them more of a 3D appearance.

Karen Telfer's "12 Days of Christmas Tags 2024" - Day 8

On the run up to each Christmas, I usually take part in Karen Telfer's Christmas Tag challenge.  Because we were living in the caravan and I didn't have my craft supplies, I wasn't able to take part in 2024.  Now my craft room is set up, I thought I had better get cracking on the tags.  For 2024, Karen was doing 12 tags rather than 24 as she had a busy work schedule.

This is my Day 8 Tag (You can watch Karen's tutorial here).

I have loosely followed Karen's tutorial for this tag, leaving out the small tags hanging from the top.

I have used "Saltwater Taffy" and "Weathered Wood" Distress Oxide Inks with the Tim Holtz / Stampers Anonymous THS084 "Mosaic" stencil.

In my stash, I had a couple of flower dies, which I'm not sure where they came from, but used them with white card and stuck on to the tag.

I used Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink to stamp the Simon Says Stamp "Tiny Words - Christmas" sentiment, then placed an arc of white dots using Ranger Enamel Accents.

Lavinia Stamps Underwater Scene Card

This evening I was in limbo, there was nothing on TV to interest me, so I took my self off to the craft room making this card.

I found a Brusho paint background in my file that I felt had a water feel to it, so that was the direction I took using a selection of Lavinia Stamps, stamped in Versafine Clair "Shady Lane" green ink and "Twilight" dark blue ink.  I inked the edges of the card using "Villainous Potion" Distress Oxide ink.

The Lavinia Stamps I used are: Urchins, Shoal of Fish, Sea Bubbles and Marine Kelp.  I also used a Lavinia word sticker saying "turn the tide" which is part of thier  Sentiment Stickers 6 set.

I used Pastel Pencils to colour and shade areas, a white and a silver glitter gel pen and a 2B pencil.

Tracy Evans Boutique Designs "Mistletoe" Christmas Card

Rummaging through my file of backgrounds, I came across a small piece of card with Brusho paint on it, which I thought would lend itself well to a Christmas card.  It was mainly red, with some touches of yellow and green on it.

I used Wow! Clear Embossing Ink with the Tracy Evans Boutique Designs "Mistletoe -TE19" stamp with Wow! Rich Gold Embossing Powder and heat set the mistletoe and the sentiment.

I mounted the piece on to dark red card and then on to a white card blank.

I have stamped the Lavinia Stamps in Versaifne Clair "Nocturne" black ink.  The stamps I have used are:Spiral of Spells, Fairy Dandelions and the Balace Word stamp set.  I have also used a 2B pencil, a silver glitter gel pen and some dots of white Liquid Pearls.

The prompt for Week 34 "Pockets and Pouches"

For my Week 34 tag, I decided to use a couple of pieces of Patterned Paper from the Funky Fossil Designs "Vintage Patchwork" paper stack.  I stuck one straight on to a blank tag, cutting to size, then I cut round one of the large flowers and decided to use that to create a pocket on the tag, using double sided sticky tape on the lower and left hand side of the flower, leaving the top and the right hand side open.  I went around the pocket flower with a black pen. Using a black Posca Pen, I added some doodles. I then added a word sticker with the words "Love you always", which is part of the Funky Fossil Designs "Sentimental Sticker Stack".

For the small tags within the pocket, I cut three shapes from the Funky Fossil "Vintage Patchwork" paper stack and mounted them on to black card.  I punched a hole in the top corner of each of the tags and threaded some pink and white "Bakers Twine" through the hole.  ON each tag, I added a word sticker from the Funky Fossil "Sentimental Sticker Stack".  The words I chose for the tags are:  Forever and always, You're the best and Love you to the moon and back.

Lavinia Stamps Headress Jingle Bell Forest Tag

I've had a very random play today, making this tag, which I have called "The Jingle Bell Forest".

I used four shades of Distress Oxide Inks for the background, using Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers, Blueprint Sketch and Villainous Potion. I sprinkled splatters of water across the surface then blotted the tag to get a mottled/bleached look/

I used the Wow! Clear Embossing Pad with the Lavinia Stamps "Headress" and "Bells" stamps, coated in Wow! Rich Gold embossing powder and heat set.

I then stamped the trees, using four shades of Versafine Clair Inks (Morning Mist, Warm Breeze, Blue Belle and Twilight) with the Lavinia Stamps "Small Fairy Fir Tree" stamp. I used Versafine Clair "Arctic" ink for the shadows.

Finally, I added some splatters of white Posca Pen and dots of "Mermaid" Liquid Pearls to the headress along with some dots of blue glitter gel pen too.
