Sweet Poppy Stencils "Snowberries" gift tag

I made this quick gift tag using Sweet Poppy Stencil products.

I started with a cream coloured tag, laying the Sweet Poppy Stencil called "Plaid Backplate" over the tag and applying two shades of Ranger Archival Inks through the bottom right hand side of the tag, fading the colour out towards the top.  The two coloured inks I used were "Prickly Pear" and "Leaf Green".

Using Versafne Clair "Shady Lane" ink, which is a mid green colour, I stamped the Sweet Poppy "Snowberries" and also the sentiment from the Sweet Poppy "Hugs and Kisses" stamp set.

I coloured the snowberry branch using Derwent Inktense pencils applied with a paint brush.

Sweet Poppy Stencils "Snowberries" Card

Here's a simple Christmas card made using a couple of Sweet Poppy stamps and a stencil.

I stamped the Sweet Poppy Stencils "Snowberries" stamp, part of their "Botanicals" collection in Versafine Clair "Shady Lane" green ink.  I then coloured the image using Derwent Inktense pencils, using the colours:  Spring Green, Apple Green, Light Olive, Lanium Green and Storm Dust.  I added extra shading using a 2B pencil too.

I then used "Shadow Grey" Ranger Archival ink through the Sweet Poppy "Plaid Back Plate" stencil. Shading the colour out towards the left and the top of the card.

Finally, I added a stamped greeting, using one of the "Festive Phrases" sentiment, stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink. I then added Ranger "Glossy Accents" to the berries and set aside to dry.

Sweet Poppy Stencils "Pumpkin & Pumpkin Vine" card

Well, I must be getting close to perfecting colouring pumpkins, I think this is card number four in a row!  I really like how this one has turned out though.

For this card, I have used two of the recently released stamps from Sweet Poppy Stencils.  I've used the "Pumpkin" and the "Pumpkin Vine" stamps, stamped in Versafine Clair "Acorn" brown ink and "Shady Lane" green ink. I coloured the stamped images with Derwent Inktense pencils, applied with a paint brush.

In the background, I have used "Shadow Grey" Ranger Archival Ink through the Sweet Poppy "Plaid Backplate Stencil" fading the ink out towards the top of the card.

Sweet Poppy Stencils "Plaid Backplate" Christmas Gift Tags

I've had a quick play making a couple of Christmas gift tags. The Sweet Poppy "Plaid Backplate Stencil" is actually on offer at the moment, till 8th September, so an ideal time to purchase it, if you don't already have it.  Here's the link to it!

For the red plaid tag, I used "Festive Berries" Distress Oxide ink through the Sweet Poppy "Plaid Backplate Stencil" on a cream card background. I then used a "Metallic Rose Gold" paint by That's Crafty through the (now retired) Sweet Poppy Christmas Bauble Stencil also by Sweet Poppy.

For the purple tag, I used a mid coloured piece of purple card, using "Violet Chalk" Elements Ink through the Sweet Poppy "Plaid Backplate Stencil".  I then used Sweet Poppy "Red Glossy Dimension Paste" through the Sweet Poppy Christmas Baubles stencil.

Sweet Poppy Stencils "Autumn" Card

I was up early this morning making this Autumn card - I think the drizzly weather we've had the last day or so is rubbing off on me!

I started by positioning the Sweet Poppy "Rose Aperture Stencil" over a piece of white card and going around the edges lightly with "Peat Moss" Ranger Archival Ink.

Next, I lay the Sweet Poppy "Plaid Back Plate Stencil" over the top of the leaf stencil, securing with low tack tape.  I then applied several shades of Ranger Archival Ink through the stencil using a blending brush.  The colours I used were : Tea Rose, Monarch Orange, Fern Green and Sepia.

Removing the Plaid stencil, I then lay the Sweet Poppy "Maple Leaf Stencil" over the top, using "Plum" Ranger Archival Ink through the stencil with a blending brush.

I used Versafine Clair "Chianti" dark red ink, to stamp the Autumn verse, which is part of the Sweet Poppy "A6 Season" stamp set.  Finally, adding extra detail using a gold metallic pen.

Sweet Poppy Stencils "Festive Phrases" Card

A quick stencil play making this card using Sweet Poppy Stencil products.

I masked off the edges of a piece of 7x7" card using a low tack tape, to ensure they stayed clean.  I then positioned the Sweet Poppy "Aperture Circle Stencil".

Over the top of that I lay the Sweet Poppy "Plaid Back Plate stencil" and applied Versafine Clair "Verdant" light green ink through the stencil.

I lifted and repositioned the Plaid stencil, applying Versafine Clair "Shady Lane" a mid green coloured ink, through the stencil to create a green tonal tartan look.

I lifted both the Plaid and circle stencil, then lay the Sweet Poppy "Holly Back Plate Stencil" over the card.  I used Versafine Clair "Rain Forest" dark green ink applied with a blending brush through the stencil.

Removing the stencil, I left the piece to dry before dragging an anti-static bag over the surface of the card.

I then used the "Merry Christmas stamp", part of the Sweet Poppy "Festive Phrases" stamp set, stamped in Versafine Clair "Chianti", which is a rich red colour.

I quickly coated the stamped image with Wow! Clear Embossing Powder and then heat set.

Finally, I removed the tape around the edge of the card and then added red to the berries of the holly using a Posca Pen.

For the middle of the flowers, I used a green pastel pencils,

Using Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink, I stamped the sentiment, which is part of the Sweet Poppy "Autumn Leaves" stamp set.

Sweet Poppy "Oriental Cherry Blossom SP1-330" on Brusho Card

I fell in love with a Sweet Poppy Stencil called "Oriental Cherry Blossom" so had to order it!.  I came back from a few days away in the caravan and my order had been delivered, so as soon as the unpacking was done and the washing machine was on, I wasted no time in having a play.

I used a small Brusho paint background I had in my stash.  Round the edges of the paint splatters I used another Sweet Poppy stencil called "Plaid Back Plate SP6-122" with two shades of Distress Inks:  Squeezed Lemonade and Ripe Persimmon" this filled in the white areas.

I then lay the Sweet Poppu "Oriental Cherry Blossom" stencil down over the background and using a metal spreader with the Sweet Poppu "Glossy Red Stencil Paste" filled in the areas of the stencil. I then set it aside for an hour or two.

Once dry, I noticed that some of the paste had oozed under the stencil.  I used a white gel pen to fill in the excess red areas.  I used a white and a black Posca Pen to add splatters.

Finally, I used a Lawn Fawn "Hello" sentiment from their "Simply Sentiments" stamp set, stamped in Verafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.
