Photo Birthday Card

As you may recall, I struggle making cards for males.  It's our sons birthday today and I was totally stumped about what card to make.  I then remembered a photo I had taken of him and his dog "Fergie" last summer and decided to print the photo and make it into a card.

I matted the photo on to a piece of dark blue card then used sticky tape to glue it to the central area of an 8x8" card.

Around the edge of the photo, I used a Funky Fossil stencil called "Birthday Celebration Words" with "Tumbled Glass" Distress Oxide Ink.

Using the Simon Says Stamp "Clean Lines Everyday" stamp set I stamped the "Happy Birthday" greeting using Versafine Clair "Medieval Blue" ink.  I then used the die cut from the matching set to cut the shape.

Tiffany Johnson Creative #100daysartplay Challenge - Day 13

It's the second week of the Tiffany Johnson Creative #100daysartplay challenge. This week is all about "stencils".  This is the tag that I made for Day 13.

This was a very quick tag to make, using a base of white card, I lay the Tim Holtz / Stampers Anonymous "Gingham Layering Stencil - THS134" over the white tag shaped piece of card and applied two shades of Distress Oxide Ink through the stencil usin a blending brush.  The colours I used was "Mowed Lawn" at the top of the tag and "Wilted Violet" at the base.

Next, I lay the Tim Holtz / Stampers Anonymous "Sparkle Layering Stencil - THS132" over the top and applied "Dark Denim" Elements ink through the stencil.

I then mounted the tag on to a piece of navy blue card and cut to the tag shape.

Finally, using "Medieval Blue" Versafine Clair Ink, I stamped the "Happy Birthday" greeting on to a piece of white card.  The stamp is part of the Simon Says Stamp "Creative Everyday" set.  I die cut the greeting using the matching die set and then added it to the central area of the tag using foam pads to elevate the greeting.

Lavinia Stamps "Wild Poppies" Sympathy Card

I needed a sympathy card quickly so I could get it in the post, so made this card using the Lavinia Stamps "Wild Poppies" stamp, I added a sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp "Clean Line Everyday" stamp set, both stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.

Day 9 of #thedailymarker30day colouring challenge (August 2021)

I've been away for a few days in the caravan, so am a few days behind with my colouring challenge.  This is my Day 9 colouring for #thedailymarker30day colouring challenge.

I've used Versafine Clair ink to stamp the Penny Black "All Natural" stamps and the Simon Says Stamp "Clean Line Everyday" sentiment stamp.  I've used Arteza colouring pencils and the Funky Fossil "Micro Dots" stencil with "Bundled Sage" Distress Oxide Ink in the background.

Lavinia Stamps "Astrid" on a "Feather Leaf Stencil" gel plate background

Up early this morning and made this card, while thinking about members of our family that I'm missing, especially the grand children.

I created the background using the Lavinia Stamps "Feather Leaf Stencil" on a gel plate background coated with PaperArtsy Acrylic Chalk Paints.  

The "Feather Leaf" detail is more obvious on the left hand side than the right, which dictated where I position the large Lavinia "Astrid" stamp. I inked up the stamp using Versafine Clair "Acorn" brown ink.  I coloured the hair area with a metallic gold pen, added a touch of pink to her lips and white to her eyes.

I used the same "Acorn" Versafine Clair ink to stamp the sentiment which is part of a Simon Says Stamp set called "Clean Line Everyday".  

Finally, I added some splatters of bronze coloured Posca Pen to the background and then inked the edges of the card in the "Acorn" ink.

Lawn Fawn "Critters On The Farm" Birthday Card

I've made a birthday card for a two year old today using the Lawn Fawn "Critters on the farm" fussy cut and coloured with Arteza Brush pens.  I've used a "Simon Says Stamp" die cut sentiment and patterned paper by "My Minds Eye", "Life of the party" paper stack.

Definitely not my best work, but I doubt the birthday boy will notice.

Funky Fossil - Funky Circle Alcohol Ink Good Luck Card

I've been playing with an alcohol ink background I have had in my stash for a couple of months and decided today I would make something of it.

I decided to use Tim Holtz Alcohol Lift Ink through the Funky Fossil "Funky Circle" Stencil over the alcohol ink background to create the bleached look pattern.

I used some Wow! Fab Foil in a copper colour to add some interest to areas too.

The stamped "Good Luck" sentiment, using Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze Ink" is from a Simon Says Stamp set called "Clean Line Everyday" and die cut.
