Design Team Make 14th December 2018 (More Than One Fold) My Time To Craft Challenge #386

The prompt for the "My Time To Craft Challenge Blog" #386 this time is "More Than One Fold (no easel cards)".  For my card, I decided to go for a gate-fold style card (a card with two folds).

I cut a piece of white card into 6" x 12".  I then scored lines at 3" and 9" (on the shorter side).

I decided on the patterned paper (one from Stampin' Up, I don't recall the name). I wanted to use and cut it to size and then stuck to the card base.

I then die cut an oval in a cereal box and a further two die cuts in co-ordinating plain coloured card. I glued and sandwiched the cereal card between the two pieces of coloured card and left to dry.

Using a Spellbinders die called "Floral Tags - S4-652" for the ornate detail in white and stuck it to the front of the dry oval card.  I then stuck the oval to the central area of the card, only adhering it to the left hand side of the card.

I stamped the sentiment, using a Stampin' Up set called "Petit Pairs" and then die cut it into the oval shape, sticking it to the intricate oval design using foam pads to give it a raised look.  I added some self adhesive pearls to the centre of the flowers.

This is the card fully closed.

This is the view of both sides of the card flat.  The lower photo shows the interior of the card.

Design Team Make - 5th October 2018 (Kraft Card) My Time To Craft Challenge #380

This is my make for the "My Time To Craft"  5th October 2018 challenge working to a prompt of "Kraft Card".

For my card, I have used a Kraft base.  I have die cut four decorative layers using a Spellbinders die set (I've had it for years, so I don't recall the name, sorry).  I positioned them some flat on the larger layer and others elevated with foam pads.

Before I stuck the smallest layer,  I used a stamp from the Stampin' Up set called "Petite Pairs" stamped in a sepia shade of Versafine Ink.

Finally, I die cut some foliage in green card and added it with the flowers to the top right hand corner of the card.

Get Well Card

For this card, I brayered Distress Oxides onto the card at a diagonal angle.  I then used a wood mounted stamp that I've had years and maybe used a couple of times previously to stamp the foliage and butterfly background (Stamps Happen Inc "Butterfly Square #90336) in sepia coloured Versafine ink.

Using a Crafty Individuals stamp (CI - 495) I stamped the foliage and bird image in a black onyx Versafine ink.  Finally, I used a Stampin' Up stamp from their "Petite Pairs" set for the sentiment, again stamped in Versafine Ink.

Triple Layer Stamping Card

When you can't sleep what else do you do, but get up and get crafting.  I've got up twice so far tonight and it's only 4:40am now!

I saw a card with what appeared to be layers of stamping.  I'm still not sure what the technique is called, but I will call it "Triple Layer Stamping".  I found a tutorial on how to do it, so thought I would give it a try.

The sentiment is from a Stampin' Up set called "Petite Pairs".  The leaves are also from a Stampin' Up set called Vintage Leaves.  In both instances, I have used a Versafine Ink in "Vintage Sepia" shade.  I have coloured the leaves with a Promarker in a "Pear Green" colour.  Looking at the completed card, I think the leaves are too large for the size of the card.  So I had another go at the technique on a square card.

I am happier with this attempt.  I used two Stampin' Up sets for this card.  The "Hello" sentiment is from the "Sale-A-Bration Hello" set.  The flower is  from the "Secret Garden" set.  I have used a Versafine ink in "Onyx Black" for this second card.

Heart Tree Card

Today I've been playing with a new Stampin' Up set called "Thoughtful Branches". It's a set of 23 stamps and there is also a matching die set called "Beautiful Branches".

The sentiment came from another Stampin' Up set called "Petite Pairs".
