Lavinia Stamps "Hare" Tag

I've been playing with my Lavinia Stamps again today, creating this gift tag.  I've used a gel plate background, using bubble wrap to create the pattern in the background.

I've stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink using the following three Lavinia Stamps:  Birch Tree, Fairy Hive Set and Wild Hare Set.

I've used a black Van Goch Pastel Pencil for the shading and Posca Pens to create the look of flowers.

Lavinia Stamps "Fantasea" Baby Girl Card

I received news today that our friends are new grand parents to a baby girl, so decided to copy the card I made yesterday, but in a pink colour way.

As before, I used the Lavinia Stamps "Elegance" stencil with their "Fantasea" and one of the "Wild Hares".

Lavinia Stamps "Hare in the Woodland Ferns"

A quick play with another one of the new Lavinia Stamps, this time it's the "Woodland Ferns" which I am sure will feature regularly in my future makes!

First, I stamped the "Woodland Ferns" in first and second generation stamping using Versafine Clair "Shady Lane" green ink.

I then stamped the hare, part of the "Wild Hare" stamp set in two shades of Versafine Clair Inks "Acorn" and "Pinecone" which are shades of brown ink.

I then used two shades of Distress Oxide Inks (Iced Spruce and Victorian Velvet) through the Lavinia "Tall Leaf Mask".

I added touches of yellow to the fern area using a Posca Pen and white highlights to the hare using a Gelly Roll Pen, before stamping the "Heartfelt Verse" sentiment in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink.

Lavinia Stamps "Hare Set"

I loathe to throw out small pieces of card, so this morning, I set myself a challenge of using a piece of white card measuring 8.5cm. The central image measures 5.5cm.

I used the following Lavinia Stamps:

  • Wild Hare Set
  • Foliage Set
  • Small Branch
  • Heartfelt Verse

I stamped in Versafine Clair Inks on a background using Distress Inks.

Lavinia Stamps Vintage Style Christmas Card

I've been playing with my Lavinia Stamps again, this time making a vintage style Christmas card.

I used a Brusho background I had made a while back, sorry I don't recall which colours I used.  I used an assortment of Lavinia Stamps (Swing Bed large, Wild Hare Set, Christmas Charms, Foliage Set, Spirit of Christmas sentiment set and a pound Holly stamp).

All stamping was in Versafine Clair inks:  Shady Lane, Acorn, Fallen Leaves, and Summertime.  I have also used a red Posca Pen for the holly berries and a white and gold Gelly Roll pen for various accents.

Lavinia Stamps pheasant winter scene

I've created this scene using a selection of Lavinia Stamps on a cling film/wrap background I'd created a while back.  I thought it leant itself to a cold frosty scene.

I started by using Versafine Clair "Fallen Leaves" brown ink, stamping the Pheasant and Hare (the hare is part of the "Wild Hare Set").  I then stamped the tree branches in the top right using a section of the "Sacred Tree" stamp.

I then created the landscape, using the torn edge of a piece of paper and "Tumbled Glass" Distress Oxide ink.  I then added some "Weathered Wood" grey Distress Oxide Ink, applied with a brush to give some dimension.

I added touches of snow using a white Signo Pen to the fence, ground and tree.  I then stamped the "Fern Branches" at the bottom left, using the same "Fallen Leaves" brown ink and added touches of snow to some of the branches.

Finally, once I hade mounted the image onto a blank card base, I added a Simon Says stamped sentiment, using their "Tiny Words Christmas" stamp set.

Lavinia Stamps "Wild Hares and Fairy Bells" card

Oh the joy to have a distraction like crafting.  It's fabulous to immerse yourself in it and forget about all the horrible things that are happening across the world at the moment.

Tidying up some of my gelli plate prints, I came across a small piece which had to be used or binned.  I opted to use it.  It was a sort of beige/golden sort of colour, so not much of it actually shows on this card, but you can get a glimps of it on the sun area.

I used two of the new Lavinia Stamps sets.  "Wild Hares" and "Fairy Bells" both stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink.

I used the torn edge of a piece of copy paper to create the landscape in two shades of ink: black and grey.

I masked off the sun area and used assorted Distress Inks to create the colour.

I used a black fine liner pen to ground the hares and to add some tufts of grass to the foreground.

Lavinia Stamps "Forest Temple" Card

Our four year old Grandson took a turn for the worse yesterday and was admitted to hospital.  With the Corona Virus cases escalating daily, I've been terrified that if he hasn't got it he will pick it up in hospital, he falls into the "vulnerable"category.  So of course, I couldn't sleep and was up at silly o' clock and decided to play with some of the new Lavinia Stamps.

I used a gelli plate background for the base, it was grey with emerald coloured Brusho splatters.

I stamped the new "Forest Temple" in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink.  In the background, I painted in some brickwork and then coloured the tree and the window using Distress Oxide Inks.

I stamped the "Fairy Barnacle" and coloured them using "Seedless Preserve" Distress Oxide Ink.  Then stamped the "Creeping Vine" in Versafine Clair "Shady Lane" green ink.

I stamped the "Path" and then two of the new "Wild Hares" stamped in Versafine Clair "Pine Cone" brown ink.  I then edged them with a white Posca Pen.

I added the "Berry Leaves" in the bottom right, stamped in Versafine Clair "Shady Lane" green ink.
