Hobby Art "Town House Scene-Its - CS010D" Christmas Card

I'm on a roll with my third card today, this time I've swung straight in to Christmas!

I stamped the trees and the house using two shades of Versafine Clair inks:  Morning Mist and Shady Lane, using second generation stamping. I've used two Hobby Art stamp sets.  One is called "Town Houses CS0101D", sadly I don't know the name of the other set as I've had it for a very long time.

I coloured the image using various shades of Distress Oxide Inks, applied with a paint brush.  The colours I used were". Stormy Sky, Tumbled Glass, Antique Linen, Weathered Wood, Lost Shadow and Festive Berries.

I used Dr PH Martin's Bleed Proof white paint to create the snow using a fan shaped paint brush.  I also added touches of white gel pen to the trees. Finally, stamping the sentiment, using Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink.

Hobby Art Ltd "Spring has Sprung CS121D" Easter Card

Well it is Good Friday, I have no idea where this year is disappearing to!

This morning I remembered an Easter stamp set I have in my stash, that rarely gets used, so decided to make an Easter card.

I have used the Hobby Art Ltd clear stamp set called "Spring Has Sprung CS121D".  I have stamped the image and sentiment with Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink. I have used Distress Oxide Inks (Tatterered Rose, Weathered Wood, Scattered Straw, Tea Dye and Picked Raspberry), applied with a paint brush.  I added extra detail using a white gel pen and a 2B pencil.

Week 09 - 52 Week Mini Art Card / Tag Challenge 2019

The prompt for Week 9 is:  "One Word"

For my tag, I opted for the word "Simplicity" this is reflected in the minimal look of this tag.  I used my "Brother" label maker to create the word and then stamped the flowers, which are from the Hobby Art "Abstract Flowers" set, stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink.

Here is my second tag with slightly more decoration.

I kept my tag deliberately clear of colour other than the band the word sits on, so that the eye is drawn to the word.

For this tag, I used two stamps from the Stampin' Up set called "Gorgeous Grunge" . I stamped the coloured stripe in a Versafine Clair ink, in a shade called "Glamorous".  The rest was stamped in Versafine "Black Onyx" shade of ink.

I drew the circles through a D'Inkables stencil from Bee Crafty.  For the "Simplicity" word, I used my Brother lable maker.

You can find more details about the tag challenge here, including a list of the previous prompts.

There is also a Facebook Group for this challenge.  Feel free to pop over and join the other members uploading images of their creations to the weekly albums.  Hope to see you soon.  Sam x

You're In My Thoughts (Thoughtful Branches) Card

I popped a circular mask onto a piece of card and then blended Distress Inks to create the background, then removed the mask.

I used a Hobby Art Ltd stamp for the seed heads, which are part of their "Jainie's Collection Oliver Owl".  The sentiment is from a Stampin' Up set called "Thoughtful Branches".  Both are stamped in Versafine Ink.

Witch Paper Doll Tag

I've played with a tag this afternoon.

The background is a mix of Distress Inks and oxides, using a Signo pen to make the white dots.  I've had a selection of skeleton leaves which I'd not used, so decided to use some on this tag, however the delicate nature of the leaves meant that they didn't show up on the coloured background, so I mounted them on black card and cut around them.  I then used a Tim Holtz paperdoll image of a couple of witches to layer on top of the leaves.

I used Hobby Arts andStamper's Anonymous stamps for the background, with sticky black gems and alpha letters to create the "Witch" word.
