Funky Fossil Fa La La "Noel" Christmas Card

Today, I sat at my desk and got distracted.  The plan was that I would make my Day 27 topper for the colouring challenge, but somehow I found myself using stamps to make a Christmas card and no colouring at all.

I started with the Funky Fossil "Fa La La" clear stamp set, selecting the word "Noel" stamped in Versafine Clair Medieval Blue ink,  I then used the same ink to stamp the decorative corners which are part of another Funky Fossil clear stamp set called "Scandi Home".

I added some snowflakes, also part of the "Fa, La La" set, stamped in Memento "London Fog" grey ink.

Design Team Make - 16th November 2018 (Let It Snow) My Time To Craft Challenge #384

It's time for the "My Time To Craft" fortnightly challenge.  This time the prompt is "Let It Snow" #384.

I started off with a piece of pale blue plain cardstock.  Using a Versamark ink pad, I stamped the image of snowflakes and then coated in Wow "Bright White" super fine embossing powder.  I then heat embossed to set the snowflakes.

I die cut the dry embossed circle using a Spellbinders die from their "Blooming Collection".

I stamped the sentiment and then die cut into the decorative shape using a Spellbinders "Victorian Tags" die set.  I added some sequins to the snowflakes to add a little subtle icey shimmer to the card.

Seasonal Heart Tree Card (Lavinia Stamps)

More Lavinia Stamps play today with this Christmas/wintery feel card.

I used two Lavinia Stamps for this card (Seasonal Tree and Small Reindeer), using a Versamark ink I heat embossed using Wow clear embossing powder, which I then heat set.

I masked a circle for the moon and then used blended Distress Inks for the background colours.  I lifted the moon mask and added a little colour to it too.

I die cut the hearts and then stuck them to the card, drawing the hanging string with a pencil.  I then used a Versamark pen and marked areas on the card.

I tore some clear paper and added it to the bottom of the card, to give the effect of snow covered ground.  I then added some glittery embossing powder, which gave the card a frosty twinkly look.  Unfortunately, the can not really be seen in this photo.  Finally, I added a few snow flakes with a white Signo Pen.

Design Team Make - 25th August 2018 (Christmas in August) - My Time To Craft Challenge

The prompt for the "My Time To Craft" challenge for 25th August 2018 is "Christmas In August".  Please do pop over and take a look at the other fabulous makes by the Design Team and maybe take part yourself?

It seems very odd to be creating Christmas cards at this time of year.  I tend to leave it till late September/October time, but it does allow me to re-visit my festive goodies that have been packed away for months.

I started off by masking a moon and then painting the sky using three shades of Distress Inks.  I then removed the moon mask and gently dabbed a pale yellow and dark grey shades of Distress Ink.

The deer image is part of a Stampin' Up set called "Christmas Deer" which I stamped in Versafine Vintage Sepia ink.

I tore card to create an uneven snowscape at the base of the Deers feet.  I then used a Memorybox die called "Frostyville Border" to cut the intricate frosty detail.

I added extra star/snowflakes to the card and then some dots using a white Signo pen to replicate falling snow.  I added some dots of Stickles to give a subtle glitter to the snowflakes and the decorative border (I'm not sure it shows in this photograph).

Finally, I added a sentiment using a sentiment from another Stampin' Up set called "Winter Memories".

Snowy Forest & Deer Christmas Card

I've continued to play with the free stamps from the December issue of Crafts Beautiful magazine, making this card.

It has a background of grey and blue distress inks.  With a layer of die cut tree trunks and a snow drift placed over the top.

The deer is stamped in Versafine ink and cut out, with a dob of Stickles glue for the red nose.  The sentiment is from a Stampin' Up set called "Winter Memories".  I then added a little shadow using a water colour and some Papermania "Holographic" embossing powder to add a little shimmer to the snow areas.

Here's a picture of the cover of the Crafts Beautiful magazine if you want to get a copy for yourself:

Bright & Beautiful Christmas Cards (Stampin' Up)

This morning I have been playing with a Stampin' Up double stamp set called "Bright & Beautiful"

On the black background card, I have heat embossed the stamped design using a Versamark pad and Papermania "Enchanted Gold" embossing powder.  The sentiment on this card is by Woodware.

On the white and pink card, I have stamped using a Ranger Adirondack Brights ink, in a shade of "Raspberry".  Again, the sentiment is by Woodware.

On the white and green card, I have stamped using a StazOn ink in the shade called "Emerald City".  The sentiment is from a Papertrey Ink set called "Winter Hills".

Snow Scene Christmas Card (Stampin' Up Softly Falling embossing)

I have continued my play with the stamps that came free with the Crafts Beautiful magazine.

I've used a Stampin' Up embossing folder called "Softly Falling" for the background.

I stamped and then die cut the snow scene image, colouring it with water colour pencils.  At the base of the card, I added a sentiment using a Woodware stamp.  Finally, I punched some small snowflakes, adding them to the card and topping with some stickles glitter glue.

Here's a photo of the magazine and stamps, so you know what to look for in the shops if you also want to purchase it.

Winter Wishes (Squirrel) Christmas Card

I'm guessing this will be my last make for November.  Looking back, it's been a productive month.

For this card, I started off by making the background using Tim Holtz Distress Inks in shades of greys and blues.

Using a die, I cut the tree trunks in white card and stuck them onto the background.  Free hand, I cut two snow slopes and glued them on top of the tree trunks at the base of the card. I then used a Signo Pen for the snow flakes.

I used a Papertrey Ink sentiment stamp from their "Winter Hills" set and stamped it at the bottom right hand side of the card.

The squirrel is from a stamp set that came free with Crafts Beautiful Magazine (Dec 17 issue).  I stamped the image then coloured it with Promarker pens.  I added sticky foam pads to the underside and stuck the image onto the card. I added a little grey shadow beneath the squirrel using distress inks.

Here's an image of the magazine and stamp set, in case you want to shop for it too.

Forest Silhouette Christmas Card

Today, I have continued to play with the stamps from the December issue of Crafts Beautiful magazine.

I created the background using three colours of Tim Holtz Distress Inks, then stamped the forest scene onto it.  On plain white card, I then splattered the same coloured Distress Inks to make a speckled background for the whole card.

I then die cut the image into a circle and then die cut a black circle frame for the image.  I stuck the two to the middle of the splattered background and then stamped the sentiment using a Woodware "Season's Greetings" stamp.

(Here's the magazine and stamp set, so you know what to look out for in the shops if you want to get it too).
