Rummaging through my file of prepared backgrounds, I found a piece of a gel press I'd made years ago. The piece was just big enough for an Artist Trading Card (ATC), so I decided to use that for my base today.
I used Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink for the stamping. Stamping the bird, part of the Tracy Evans Boutique Designs "Quirky Birds TE10" stamp set. I then drew a circle round a lid in black pen and stamped the hearts and "tweet" sentiment also part of the same stamp set.
I used some black ink remaing on a blending brush with a torn edge of a piece of paper to create the grounding. Then used a black and a pink Posca pen to add more dots around the bird and to colour in the hearts.
I love the look of the bright citrus green and vibrant pink with the black Sam and the cute bird looks great with the added pen circle around it, and the spattered pink and black Posca Pen and the bit of added grass beneath its feet, and a fun coordinating word to finish.. a fun ATC. x
