Lavinia Stamps pheasant winter scene

I've created this scene using a selection of Lavinia Stamps on a cling film/wrap background I'd created a while back.  I thought it leant itself to a cold frosty scene.

I started by using Versafine Clair "Fallen Leaves" brown ink, stamping the Pheasant and Hare (the hare is part of the "Wild Hare Set").  I then stamped the tree branches in the top right using a section of the "Sacred Tree" stamp.

I then created the landscape, using the torn edge of a piece of paper and "Tumbled Glass" Distress Oxide ink.  I then added some "Weathered Wood" grey Distress Oxide Ink, applied with a brush to give some dimension.

I added touches of snow using a white Signo Pen to the fence, ground and tree.  I then stamped the "Fern Branches" at the bottom left, using the same "Fallen Leaves" brown ink and added touches of snow to some of the branches.

Finally, once I hade mounted the image onto a blank card base, I added a Simon Says stamped sentiment, using their "Tiny Words Christmas" stamp set.

    1. Hi Kari, Thank you for your kind words. I used Distress Oxide Ink on the clingfilm. Lightly spritzed with water and then scrunched the film. I then partially unscrunched and laid the film a piece of card, ensuring lots of areas were touching the card. Leave it for a few hours, I left mine overnight. You can then remove the film. Each one will give a different effect. If you find there are areas you are not happy with, maybe not much colour, you can repeat the process. Hope that helps x

  4. I love this! Cling wrap is one of my favorites for backgrounds, but I've never made one as pale at this. I will try one!
