Brickwork Tag

Today I've been playing with a stencil/mask in a brickwork design, that came with a magazine a while back.

I started using Distress Inks over the stencil in a "Old Paper" shade of green.  Using Stampin' Up "Gorgeous Grunge" stamps I added the chevron and splatters in a grey colour.  I then inked the edges of the tag in grey.  Using a Sizzix leaf die (660822) I cut two leaves and then added the three paper flowers to the bottom left hand side of the tag.

Grandaughter 3rd Birthday Card

Our Grandaughter Willow, will be celebrating her third birthday in ten days, so I made this little card for her.

The doll image is part of an old Hero Arts stamp set that I've had for some years and is coloured with Promarkers.  The balloons were die cuts (sorry I don't recall the manufacturer).  The no.3 was cut using a Sizzix die.  The sentiment is from the Rubbadubbadoo Stick & Stamp collection, where you can make up your own greeting.  These are magnetic and a set that I've had for years.  The scalloped edge of the sentiment is created using a Spellbinder die.  The white background has been embossed with a small daisy design, which I think is Cuttlebug.

Autumn Thanks Card

I don't often use Kraft cardstock, but as I was planning an Autumn type card I decided it would be the perfect base. Some time ago, I had rescued a ribbon from some flowers, so I decided to use that as the central focal area with a green strip behind it to add some colour.

I used Stampin' Up "Vintage Leaves" stamps & "Leaflet Framelit" dies, the leaves were inked in various Autumnal shades.  I also used a Sizzix die called "Back To Nature #2".

I stamped the sentiment (Stampin' Up - Thoughtful Branches) and then die cut two oval shapes to be mounted one on top of the other and then after a lot of debate stuck everything down.  However I wasn't happy with it - so much so that I was close to putting it in the bin.  

I decided to sleep on it and fortunately, inspiration struck in the middle of the night, which resulted in me getting up and faffing with the card while it was still dark outside.  I am happier with it now.

Christmas Production of Cards

So today I have made a token gesture to Christmas by making this card.

I created this card by using a Sizzix diecut, mounting it on a dark background of card stock.
