Funky Fossil - "Wild Things" Elephant Birthday Card

I've made a birthday card for a little one today using the Funky Fossil "Wild Things" stamp set.  

I used a leafy embossing folder that came with a magazine for the background and covered it with two shades of Distress Oxide Inks.  First with "Cracked Pistachio" and then on the leaf areas I used "Mowed Lawn".

I stamped the elephant in the middle of the green base and also on a piece of plain white card, using Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink.

I then stamped the sentiment, using a Personal Impressions stamp set called "Double Sayings" in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink.

I then painted the elephant on the white piece of card, using two shades of Distress Oxide Inks:  Weathered Wood and Spun Sugar.  I fussy cut the coloured elephant shape and adhered it onto the card over the outline image of the elephant.

I used the Funky Fossil "Wild Things" clear stamp to create this card.  I coloured a piece of cardstock with "Wild Honey" Distress Oxide Ink and then stamped the giraffe in Versafine Clair "Chianti" ink.  I stamped the same image onto a white card blank.  I then adhered the coloured giraffe onto the card.

I stamped the "Wild" sentiment using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink and printed and cut out the words "...about you!", adhering it below the "Wild Word".

I used the Funky Fossil "Whale of a time" clear stamp set for the little hearts above the giraffe, stamped in Versafine Clair "Tulip Red".

Funky Fossil - Wild Things Birthday Card

I've been having a play with Funky Fossil stencils and stamps to create this birthday card.

I created the background square by covering the card in "Pumice Stone" Distress Oxide Ink.

Using low-tack masking tape, I secured the Funky Fossil "Tribal Background Stencil" over the square.  Using a blending tool, I applied the "Walnut Stain" Distresss Oxide Ink through the stencil.  I then mounted the finished square on to a piece of brown card and then adhered it to a cream coloured card blank.

I used the lion from the Funky Fossil "Wild Things Clear Stamp Set" stamped on to plain white card using Versafine "Vintage Sepia" brown shade of ink.  I then coloured the lion using a fine paint brush and Distress Oxide inks in the following shades:  Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade and Rusty Hinge.  I added some touches of gold to the mane using a gold metallic pen.  I then cut the lion out and adhered on to the card.

I usde a Personal Impressions sentiment from their "Double Sayings" set, stamped in Versafine "Vintage Sepia.

Funky Fossil "Antler Background" Stencil - Male Birthday Card

I've been playing with stencils this afternoon, creating this card.

I started by covering some white card with "Shabby Shutters" Distress Oxide Ink.  I used "Brushed Corduroy" Distress Oxide through the Funky Fossil "Antler" stencil, taped on top of the green background to create the over all pattern.

To create the central sentiment, I used an off-cut of the "Shabby Shutters" Distress Oxide background and stamped "Have A Wild Birthday" using stamps from the Funky Fossil clear stamp set called "Wild Things" stamped in Versafine Clair "Pinecone" brown ink.

I die cut the sentiment into a rectangle and then edged it with "Brushed Corduroy" Distress Oxide Ink before adhering it to the middle of the card.  I then edged the whole inner image with the same ink.
