Visible Image "Atomic Flower" Birthday Card

I made this quick birthday card this morning, using two shades of Ranger "Archival Inks" (Chrome Yellow and Tea Rose), through the Visible Image Stamps "Atomic Flower" stencil.

I then used Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink to stamp the Visible Image "Happy Birthday" sentiment and verse.  Finally, adding some dots using a metallic gold pen.

Visible Image "Live In the moment" Dragonfly Card

I'm still in Visible Image mode today, making this dragonfly card.

I started by stamping the dragonfly (part of the Visible Image "Live in the moment" stamp set) in two colours of Versafine Clair" inks, "Twilight" for the body and "Warm Breeze" for the wings.  I then coated the stamped area in Wow! Clear Embossing Powder and heat set. The sentiment, also by Visible Image, part of their "Happy Birthday" stamp set was also stamped in "Twilight" and heat embossed in the same way.

I then started on the background, using a paint brush and different strengths of four shades of Distress Oxide Inks:  Tumbled Glass, Salvaged Patina, Cracked Pistachio and Mermaid Lagoon, fading the colours out towards the top left corner.  I then used a heat gun to dry the surface.

Next I used the Visible Image "Ripples" stencil with two shades of Archival Inks:  Garden Patina and Shadow Grey.

I then used the dots in the Visible Image "Two Tone" stencil with a gold shimmer pen to add tiny shimmery sparkles.

Next, I painted the wings of the dragonfly.  I created a beautiful shimmer look by painting green Cosmic Shimmer "Iredescent Shimmer Water Colour", which although green also has a hint of gold to it too.

Now I added the finishing touches to the card.  I used Ranger "Glossy Accents" to stick some flat backed beads to the surface of the card.

I used a metallic gold pen along the right hand and bottom edge of the card. I then added green dots using a unibal Signo pen.

Visible Image "Ahead of our time" Birthday Card

I've taken a look at birthdays coming up in January and decided I had better get making some card.  I've started with the most difficult one that I find to make for:  Teenage Boys!

I used stampb by Visible Image for the main area of the card, using the silhouette stamp that could be Churchill from the "Ahead of our time" stamp set.  Stamping it in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink and then coating it in Wow! clear embossing powder and heat setting.

I then used a brick wall stamp from the Visible Image "Teenage Kicks" stamp set and stamped the wall in Versafine Clair "Shady Lane" green ink in multiple positions.

Once dry, i gave the whole image a light wash using "Antique Linen" Distress Oxide ink and then wafted the heat gun over it to dry.  Using a blending brush and "Aged Mahogany" Distress Oxide ink, I coloured over the bricks and background to give a warmer background.  I edged the tag with "Tulip Red" Versafine Clair ink.

Using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink, I stamped the flying birds to the right of the hat (they are also part of the "Ahead of our time" stamp set.  Using the same ink and the verse from the Visible Image "Happy Birthday" stamp set, I multi stamped part of the verse down the left hand side of the card. I also edged the card in the black ink.

I then added some white and black splatters using Posca Pens.

Finally, after mounting the card, I added a Simon Says Stamp sentiment from thier "Tiny words - Birthday" stamp set, again stamped in "Nocturne" black ink
