Visible Image Hope Card

Today, I have been playing with Visible Image products to make this card.

I started with a piece of white card measuring 4" x 5.5".  I used the Visible Image stencil set called "Art spheres #2" with three shades of blue Ranger Archival Inks, using Sky Blue, Paradise Teal and Cobalt colours.  I went round the lower edge with a 2b pencil to darken it a little and added some dots of white Posca Pen to areas above the wave to replicate water spray.

I used Versafine Clair "Blue Belle" ink to stamp the wording which is part of the Visible Image stamp set called "Equality, Hope & Love".  Finally, adding a few Nuvo "Aqua Aurora" sequins across the surface of the card.

While I had lots of my Distress Oxide Inks out to create Tag 20, I decided to make a wash of colours across a tag.  

First I dampened the surface of the tag with a good spritz of water.  Using a wet paint brush I dragged the brush across the surface, moving on to the next colour and so on, till the colours merged and blended into each other like a water colour effect. 

I used the following Distress Oxide Inks:  Cracked Pistachio, Tumbled Glass, Weathered Wood, Shaded Lilac, Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet.  I then gave the tag a blast with the heat gun to dry off the surface.

Using Versafine Clair "Twilight" dark blue ink, I stamped the right hand side face of the Visible Image "Love is Love" stamp set.

Using the same ink, I stamped the sentiment, which is also a Visible Image stamp from their stamp set called "Equality, Hope and Love". I also used the same ink to edge the tag.

I felt the tag needed something else, so using the Visible Image "Two Tone" stencil and a white Posca Pen, I added some spots to the background.

I then used different coloured Posca Pens to add interest to the stamped image.

Visible Image Stamps - a random recovery piece

Tidying my craft surface today, I came across a piece that I had started for a project that wasn't working how I had it in my head!  Today it was see if I can rescue it.

This is made up of several layers.  The base was Brusho paint granules spritzed.  The next was the Visible Image "Ripples" stencil with Iced Spruce Distress Oxide inks, which is where it was when I picked it up today.

 I decided to use the Visible Image "Kindness" sentiment from their "Equality, Hope and Love" stamp set.  Stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink and then sprinkled with Wow! clear embossing powder and heat set.

I then stamped the leaves, which are part of the "Total Chaos" stamp set, stamped in Versafine Clair "Summertime" orange ink.

Still unsure where I was going with this and it was getting very close to going in the bin, I decided to stamp the flower, also part of the "Total Chaos" stamp set.

I used the Visible Image "Two Tone" stencil with Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink to create the polka dots.  I used the same ink to edge the piece.

I've been playing with Visible Image stamps and stencils this morning, making this card.

I brayered "Peacock Feathers" Distress Oxide Ink onto card to get a blended look, lighter at one end to the other.

I used "Stormy Sky" Distress Oxide Ink through the Visible Image "Ripples" stencil over the top of the brayered background.

Using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink, I stamped the "hope" sentiment, part of the Visible Image "Equality, Hope and Love" stamp set, I then stamped the remaining areas using the Visible Image "Random Art of Kindness" stamp set.

Next, I stamped the flowers on to white card and coloured them using two Distress Oxide Inks, "Wild Honey" and "Carved Pumpken".  Cut the flowers out, edged them with a black Sharpie pen, then adhered them on to the card, adding small metal beads to the middle of each flower.

It's Day 4 of #thedailymarker30day colouring challenge.  I've decided to use Visible Image products for my project.

I started by using three Distress Oxide Inks to create the background:  Antique Linen, Tumbled Glass and Cracked Pistachio.  I then lay the Visible Image "Fibre" stencil over the top and added a further couple of shades of Distress Oxide Inks:  Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean.  Next, I splattered water droplets from a fan brush to break up the colour a little. 

I stamped the large sentiment next using the Visible Image "Equality, Hope & Love" stamp set in Versafine Clair "Twilight" dark blue ink.

Next I stamped the dotted circled which are part of the Visible Image "You Are Not Alone" stamp set, stamped in Versafine Clair "Paradise", which is a mid blue coloured ink.

I then moved on to the dragonfly.  The stamp is part of the Visible Image "Live In The Moment" stamp set, which I stamped in Versafine Clair "Twilight" ink.  I then stamped the dragonfly again on an off-cut of white card.

Using the dragonfly image on the white card, I coloured it in with a selection of Signo Glitter and Sakura Gelly Roll pens.  I then fussy cut the wings and adhered them over the dragonfly image on the card.
