Lavinia Stamps "Silhouette Thistles" on a Brusho Background

I couldn't sleep last night, so was up early and made this card.

I used a Brusho Background I had created some time ago as the base of this card.  I used the Lavinia Stamps "Silhouette Thistles" stamp, heat embossed using Wow! Clear ink pad and their Opaque Vanilla White Embossing Powder which I heat set.

Around the edge of the card, I used the following Lavinia Stamps (Maple Leaf, Foliage Set and Creeping Vine), with four colours of Versafine Clair Inks (Twilight, Blue Belle, Shady Lane and Nocturne).

I added extra detail with Posca Pens, Gel pens and Pastel Pencils.

Lavinia Stamps "Silhouette Thistle" stencilled card

Here's a really quick card to make, which has big impact.

I've used "Wild Honey" and "Spiced Marmalade" through the Lavinia Stamps "Elegance" stencil to create the background.

Using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink, I stamped the Lavinia "Silhouette Thistle" stamp.  I then stamped the sentiment which is part of a Personal Impressions stamp set called "Double Saying" using the same ink.

Lavinia Stamps February 2020 Monthly Challenge "Beneath The Moon"

On the first of each month, Lavinia Stamps announce a new monthly challenge theme.  The theme for February is "Beneath The Moon".

For this sample, I decided to make it with a "Love" feel... well it is February, calling it "The Moon of Love'!

I started with a white card base, masking off a circle for the moon, adding colour using the following Distress Oxide Inks:  Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, Festive Berries and Wild Honey. I then removed the circle mask and added a touch of "Scattered Straw" Distress Oxide Ink to the moon shape.

Using a Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink, I stamped the background "Background Script".

The remaining stamping was all done using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink, starting with the "Star Gazing" couple, then the "Silhouette Thistle", the "Heart Hill Border" and then the word "Love" which is part of the "Live The Life" stamp set.

I then mounted the image on black and co-ordinating card before stamping the "Together We Have" sentiment at the top and the bottom of the card.

Finally, using a Sakura Gelly Roll pen, I added some gold shimmer highlights to the thistles and the fairy.

Lavinia Stamps "Midnight Meandering" rabbits Birthday Card

I made this card for a special lady who has two house rabbits, so the Lavinia Stamps "Midnight Meandering" rabbits seemed to be the ideal choice for her card.

I started by creating the background using various shades of Distress Oxide Inks:  Antique Linen, Bundled Sage, Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass, Peeled Paint and Twisted Citron.  I apply the ink starting with swooshing the card through the ink and then applying additional inks with a paint brush.

I stamped the Lavinia Stamps "Skeleton Trees" in two shades of Versafine Clair ink:  "Misty Morning" for the distant trees and "Nocturne" for those in the foreground.  I also stamped the Lavinia Stamps "Midnight Meandering" rabbits and the "Flutterbies" in the darker ink.

I created the dark landscape at the base of the card, by using the torn edge of a piece of paper to create the undulations, by dragging "Black Soot" Distress Oxide ink on a blending tool across the torn edge.

Finally, using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink, I stamped the Lavinia Stamps "Meadow Grass", "Silhouette Thistle" and "Mini Slender Mushrooms".

Finally, I used a white Signo pen to add highlight areas and a gold shimmer Sakura Gelly Roll pen to add some interest to the thistles in the foreground.
