Tiffany Johnson Creative #100daysartplay Challenge - Day 85

 

Today is Day 85 of the Tiffany Johnson Creative #100daysartplay challenge.  This week I'm working with "inks".

For this card, I started with a 7x7" white card, using the Funky Fossil Designs "Tree Top 2 layer stencil set to create the tree, using "Coffee and Potting Soil" Ranger Archival Inks for the tree trunk and "Prickly Pear", "Leaf Green" and "Fern Green" Ranger Archival Ink for the tree leaves.

In the sky, I used "Tumbled Glass" Distress Oxide Ink.  For the land, I used "Sea Grass" and "Fern Green" Ranger Archival Inks.  

The badger, is part of the Funky Fossil stamp set called "Forest Friends", stamped in Verafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink.

I drew the fence in pencil then touched it up with a brown Derwent Inktense Pencil.  I added flowers using Posca Pens.

Funky Fossil "Forest Friends" Card

I've used the new Funky Fossil Designs "Forest Friends" stamp set for this card, stamping in various shades of Versafine Clair inks (Nocturne, Morning Mist and Tulip Red). 

For the background, I have mopped up ink from my glass mat (from a previous project) onto a page from an old book.  I then splattered red and white paint from Posca Pens to add a bit more detail to the background.

Today, Friday 14th May 2021, Funky Fossil Designs release a selection of fabulous new products, including the stamp set I have used on the sample below.  It's called "Forest Friends" and is designed by Donna Gray. 

I used "Worn Lipstick" Distress Oxide ink for the background and then stamped the squirrel in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.  Using the same ink, I secondary stamped the foliage in the background.  

I used a white card blank and lay a strip of Funky Fossil "Washi Tape" across the middle of the card, then elevated the stamped image by using foam pads.  Finally I stamped the sentiment of "Hello Friend" which is also part of the "Forest Friends" stamp set.

Here's sample #4 using the Funky Fossil Designs "Quirky Trees Die Set", which I have paired with the new Funky Fossil Designs "Forest Friends" stamp set.  Both these and other goodies will be available to purchase from this Friday 14th May 2021.

I die cut the trees in two shades of grey.  I then stamped the Hare from the "Forest Friends" stamp set with Versafine Clair "Glamorous" pink ink and then cut around the edge.  On a piece of white card, I used the Funky Fossil "Blending Brush" to apply "Picked Raspberry" Distress Oxide Ink through the Funky Fossil "Magical Dragonflies stencil".

I then adhered the trees and the hare in to position then stamped the "Hello Friend" sentiment, part of the "Forest Friends Stamp set" using the same ink as the hare.

This Friday, 14th May 2021, Funnky Fossil Designs will be releasing a lovely selection of crafting goodies.  Included in the launch is a new stamp set, designed by Donna Gray and is called "Forest Friends".  Here's a preview sample I have made, using some of the smaller elements in the stamp set.

I used three shades of Distress Oxide Inks to stamp the central flowers/foliage (Peacock Feathers, Salvaged Patina and Tumbled Glass).  I then stamped the sentiment using Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" ink. I then mounted it on a sheet of the new Funky Fossil Kaleidescope patterned paper before adding finishing touches of Liquid Pearls in "Mermaid" and "White Opal" shades.

Today is the preview day for a fabulous new stamp set Designed by Donna Gray for "Funky Fossil Designs" called "Forest Friends".  This stamp set along with several other new products will be available to purchase from the Funky Fossil web site from this Friday, 14th May 2021. 

For this sample, I reverse stamped the badger on the left and then stamped the badger on the right hand side. I made a mask for both badgers then stamped the mushrooms/toadstools in the background, using Versafine Clair "Tulip" and "Acorn".  I coloured the sky with "Tumbled Glass" Distress Oxide Ink and the grass with a combination of "Twisted Citron", "Mowed Lawn" and "Rustic Wilderness".

I removed the mask and coloured the badger on the left with a purple and pink Posca Pen.  I used Posca Pens to add dots to reflect flowers in the grass.  The sentiment is part of the Funky Fossil "Small Print #2" stamp set, stamped in Versafine Clair "Monarch" purple ink.
