Tiffany Johnson Creative #100daysartplay Challenge - Day 45

Today is Day 45 of the Tiffany Johnson Creative #100daysartplay challenge.  This week is all about stamps and stamping.

I started with a white piece of card, cut in to a tag shape.  I used the stamps from two Visible Image stamp sets, using "See Everything" and "Creative Chaos", stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink and then coated in Wow! Clear Embossing Powder and then heat set.

I used a blue and a yellow Derwent Inktense Pencils to colour the iris of the eye.  I then used yellow, orange and light blue coloured Posca pens to colour in various sizes of dots. Finally, mounting the tag on to co-ordinating blue card.

Visible Image "Creative Chaos" Card - Inspired by Eileen Godwin On-line Workshop

I couldnt sleep so decided to get up and craft.  I watched another of Eileen Godwin's on-line workshops and decided to try it myself.  This is my take on Project 4 of Workshop 15.

As before, I won't go into the process of making this card as it is from one of Eileen's paid workshops.  However, I will detail the products that I have used for this card (I didn't have everything that Eileen used, so have improvised).

52 Week Mini Art Card/Tag Challenge - Taster tag for August 2023

52 Week Mini Art Card/Tag Challenge

To start getting us in the mood for making tags in 2024, I thought I would initially provide you with a prompt on the 1st of the month, between now and the start of the challenge in 2024, so just one tag a month for the time being.

You can use any size of tag for this challenge.  The tags that I use meaure 8cm across and have a length of 16cm.  They can be purchased from Craft Obsessions for £5.75 for a pack of 50 tags.  Alternatively use any tags you may already have or perhaps cut and make your own tag bases.  The choice is yours.

The prompt for the August 2023 Tag Taster is "Circles".

I hope you enjoy this taster.  I hope you enjoy the challenge.  I'd love to see what you make.  You can share your tag within the "Crafting Niche - 52 Week Mini Art Card/Tag Challenge" group over on Facebook, here is the link.

*********

This is how I made my tag using the August 2023 prompt of circles.

In an attempt to stash bust - using up things floating around the craft room, I found a piece of patterned paper with a circular design on it.  I cut it down to size and stuck the patterned paper on to my tag base using double sided sticky tape.

I used Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink to stamp the Visible Image flower from their "Creative Chaos" stamp set.  I then stamped the flower head only on an off cut of cerise coloured card.  I fussy cut the flower head and set aside till later.

Next, using the Versafine Clair "Blue Belle" ink, I stamped the collection of mixed circles twice across the tag, going over the upper part of the flower head too. The circles are part of the Visible Image stamp set called "Butterfly Effect". I used a Derwent Inktense Pencil (called Denim), to paint the colour within the circles, chosing to cover some in a lighter and some in a darker shade of blue. At this stage and while the ink was out, I inked up the outer edges of the tag too.

Once the surface of the tag was dry, I then stuck the cerise flower head over the top of the one on the tag, I used a wet glue for this so that I could slide it into position with ease.

Finally, I added some extra black dots using Ranger "Enamel Accents".  I then added a trail of pink dots using some Liquid Pearls called "Dazzle.

Once everthing was fully dry, I then mounted the tag on to a piece of blue card.  This is because I like the finished look the tag has.  It also provides a bit more strength to the tag.

Visible Image "Creative Chaos" Birthday Card

I have been away at the caravan for over a week.  I didn't take any crafting things with me and boy have I missed it.  So of course, as soon as the first load of washing was in the machine, I sat down at my craft desk!

I needed to make a birthday card, so decided to do that first to get it out of the way, then I feel I can create without any pressure.

I stamped the flower from the Visible Image "Creative Chaos" stamp set using Versafine Clair "Charming Pink" ink.  I then stamped the flower head on a Post-it note, fussy cut around the edge and stuck the post-it over the flower head on the card.

I then used Ranger "Prickly Pear" Archival Ink through a section of the Visible Image "Seeing Stars" stencil, fading out around the edges.

I removed the stencil and the mask and then stamped the "Happy Birthday" sentiment, part of the Visilbe Image "Go To Words" stamp set, using Versafine Clair "Charming Pink" ink.

To colour the flower head, I used a Derwent Inktense pencil called "Pink Flamingo 0405" applied with a paint brush, diluting the colour initially and then building the colour up in areas.  I then added some white gel pen to lighten a few areas.

Visible Image "Creative Chaos" CAS Card

This is the card that I had started at the caravan, but couldn't finish till I got home today.

I started the card, by stamping the flowers from the Visible Image "Creative Chaos" stamp set in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.

I then used Derwent Inktense pencils, applied with a paint brush to colour the flowers.  I used a minty green Inktense pencil with a brush to create a very informal rectangle panel of colour behind the flowers.

I used "Weathered Wood" Distress Oxide Ink through part of the Visible Image "Supernova Stencil".

I then added extra black and white dots using Ranger "Enamel Accents". Finally mounting the card onto a piece of black paper and then on to a card blank.

Visible Image "Hope and Colour" Challenge Card

On the Visible Image Stamps Facebook page, there is a challenge called "Hope and Colour", where you need to create a bright piece with with an uplifting of inspiring sentiment.  Of course you have to use their stamps and stencils too, with the challenge closing on the 31st January 2021.

This is my entry, I've used a whole host of products.  The initial central circle is a gel plate impression I had in my stash.

I used "Picked Raspberry" Distress Oxide Ink through the Visible Image "Meshing Around" stencil to achieve the fragmented circle.

I then stamped the flowers, the different sizes are in three Visible Image stamp sets:  Total Chaos, Creative Chaos and Accessorize, which I stamped in Versafine Clair "Monarch" purple ink. I also stamped the same images on a piece of white card and heat embossed the stamping.

I added some circle details to the top right and to the left of the card, using the circles from the "You Are Not Alone" stmap set, stamped in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink.

Next, I stamped the sentiment, which is part of the Visible Image "Brave and Strong" stamp set, stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.

I returned to the flowers that I had stamped and heat embossed on white card, painting them with three shades of Distress Oxide Inks:  Scattered Straw, Fossilized Amber and Mustard Seed.  I then cut the flower heads out, edged the shapes with a black Sharpie pen and adhered over the flower heads on the card.

Finally, I added some white dots of Posca Pen to the central area to break up the colour a little.

Visible Image "Break Free" Daisy Tag

I had decided to have a day off crafting, but found myself drawn to my craft desk, so decided to make a little tag.

I used a tag with a Distress Oxide Spray background that I had prepared a while back, I had already used the Visible Image "Meshine Around" stencil on it, so that really dictated the way I went with the whole tag.

I used the Visible Image "Break Free" stamp set for the vase and flower, coloured with Distress Oxide Inks.

In the background I used the dotty circles from the Visible Image "Creative Chaos" stamp set and the straight lines form the Visible Image "Shape it up" stamp set.  The words are from the Visible Image "Random Art of Kindness" stamp set, all stamped in Versafine Ink.

I added some white areas to the dots, which turned pale blue due to the base, using a Posca Pen.

Visible Image "Disguise of a smile" card for National Nurses Day

Yesterday, the 12th May, was National Nurses Day.  I made this card with the Nurses in mind.  They always do such an incredible job, but it must be heartbreaking for them at the moment, having the strain of what is happening at work and some not being able to be with their nearest and dearest, so I just wanted to acknowledge the day in a card.

I used a gelli plate background I had prepared a while back.  When I made the background, I remember deciding to add red splatters to it using Brusho, just to see how it took.  As you can see, it worked well.

I used a selection of Visible Image stamps for this card, starting with the sentiment called "Disguise of a smile" and then the butterfly from "Live Life Now", both stamped in Versafine Clair "Medieval Blue" ink.

I then used Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink to stamp the small flower in the background which is part of the Visible Image stamp set called "Creative Chaos".

I added a few splatters of white using a Posca Pen to lighten the background a little too.

Visible Image - Rainbow Challenge - using Total Chaos and Creative Chaos

This is another entry for the Visible Image "Rainbow Challenge".

For the base, I used Distress Oxide Inks on water colour paper which allowed the colours to run into each other beautifully.

I stamped everything with Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.  The sentiment using the Visible Image "Own It" stamp set, the flowers yusing "Total Chaos" and "Creative Chaos".

I then used the "Ripples" stencil with a white Posca pen and then stamped the cluster of black circles using the "Shape It Up" stamp set.  The DNA coding on the right hand side is part of the "Creative Chaos" set.

Visible Image - See Everything

This evening, I had an urge to play with my Visible Image stamps and stencils, creating this card, where I used stamps from three sets and a stencil too.

I started by using three shades of Distress Oxides Inks (Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry and Ripe Persimmon) through the Visible Image "Entwined Butterflies" stencil.

After removing the stencil, I stamped the large butterfly from the Visible Image "Wings of Change" on to the card, using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink.

While I had the stamp out, I stamped the same butterfly, three times on to white card using "Charming Pink" Versafine Clair Ink.

I also created three masks of the butterfly by stamping onto post-it notes.  I fussy cut the post-it butterflies and adhered them over the butterflies stamped on to the card.

Next, using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink I stamped the main image from the Visible Image "See Everything" clear stamp set.  I also stamped the central eye section onto a white piece of cardstock for later use.

I filled the areas to the side of the central image using a stamp from the Visible Image "Creative Chaos" stamp set, again stamped in "Nocuturne" black ink.

Returning the iris eye area stamped on a white card, I painted the eye itself with "Mermaid Lagoon" blue/green coloured Distress Oxide Ink, cut out a rough oval and adhered the eye over the one already stamped on the card.  I then covered the iris in Glossy Accents to give a glassy appearance.

I then glued the white butterflies into position.  I decided that some of the dots needed to be filled, I used a black marker pen and a white Posca Pen along with a green Sakura Gelly Roll Pen which matched the matting and layering.

Week 47 - 52 Week Mini Art Card / Tag Challenge 2019

The prompt for Week 47 is "Bright".  My reasoning behind this prompt is that this week the weather has been so grey and grim, that I found myself wanting to create something with pretty, bright colours.

I started by using "Peacock Feathers" shade of Distress Oxide Ink through a Clarity Stamp Stencil called "Orbit".

Using Versafine Clair "Nocturn" black Ink, I stamped the Visible Image flowers and circle detail.  These stamps are part of their "Creative Chaos" clear stamp set.  I used some additional circles from another of their sets called "Shape It Up".

I stamped the flower heads again, this time on white card, which I painted with a pink shade of Distress Oxide Ink called "Picked Raspberry".  I then fussy cut the flower heads and adhered over the ones already on the tag.

Finally, I stamped the Always Cool words, using some magnetic word stamps by Rubbadubbadoo.  I added additional white cirles to the tag using a Signo Pen.

Day 8 - The Daily Marker Thirty Day Colouring Challenge #thedailymarker30day

It's day 8 of "The Daily Marker Thirty Day Challenge" and I have coloured a tag instead of a card.

I stamped the flowers using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.  The stamps are from a Visible Image set called "Creative Chaos".  I've coloured the flowers using Distress Oxide inks (Blueprint Sketch) and Water Colour pencils.

Visible Image "Creative Chaos" Tag 2

While the Visible Image "Creative Chaos" stamp set was still on my desk, I made this little tag to tie to a bunch of flowers.

It has a background of Distress Oxide Spray Inks in the shades of "Picked Raspberry" and "Iced Spruce".

Using the large flower from the "Creative Chaos" set, I stamped the flower head only onto the tag and then again onto a plain piece of white card.

Using the Visible Image "Go To Words" I stamped the "With Sympathy" as if it were the stem of the flower on the tag.

Returning to the flower head on the white card, I used my Prima Confections water colour paints, I painted the flower in a very pale blue/grey shade.  I then cut the flower head out and inked the edges using a black pen, then adhered it onto the tag over the already stamped flower head.

Visible Image "Creative Chaos" Tag

A crafting friend of mine attended the Port Sunlight stamping show at the weekend and accidentally purchased a duplicate stamp set.  I was more than happy to take it off her hands and had a play with it today making this tag.

I started with a tag with Dylusion Spray Ink in two shades, "Squeezed Orange" and "Fresh Lime".

I then used the "Wilted Violet" Distress Ink through a Visible Image stencil called "Meshing Around", half on/half off on the left hand side of the tag.

I then used the Visible Image stamp set called "Creative Chaos" to stamp the flowers and the sentiment in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink and the dots within a circle in Versafine "Stormy Grey" ink.

On a plain piece of card, I stamped the flower heads, painted them using Prima Confections water colour paints from their "Tropical" set.  I then cut them out and glued into position.  Finally, I inked the edges of the tag in black ink and mounted it onto black card.
