Lavinia Stamps "Whimsical Hares" Second Birthday Card

Here's a birthday card I've made using a selection of goodies from Lavinia Stamps.

I created the circle background using a circle mask with Lavinia Stamps Elements "Bermuda" and "Mermaid" through their "Foliage Stencil".

I stamped the hares around the edge of the circle, using the Lavinia Stamps "Whimsical Hares" stamp set and Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.

Around the edge of the circle and the hares, I multi stamped one of the Lavinia floral pound stamps in Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" ink.  I added touches of orange to some of the larger flowers using a Posca Pen.

I die cut a number two and coloured it with an orange Posca Pen, I then added spots to the the die cut number using a white Gelly Roll pen.  While I had the pen in my hand, I also added highlights to the hares.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment , which is part of the Lavinia Stamps "Heartfelf Verst" stamp set in "Warm Breeze" Versafine Clair ink.

Lavinia Stamps Barric The Crow Hexagonal Card

Here's a card I made using a Julie Hickey "Layers, Frames & Banners Hexagon" Die with Lavinia Stamps.

I used Distress Oxide Inks (Tumbled Glass and Twisted Citron) for the background colour.

Stamping has been done in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink or "Picked Raspberry" Distress Oxide ink.

I built the image up using the following Lavinia Stamps for this card:  "Barric", "Tree Branch", "Lunar Buds", Pound "Mini Leaf 5" Stamp.

Lavinia Stamps Design Team Sample for August 2019 Hochanda TV Show - Willow Arch

On 22nd August 2019, Lavinia Stamps will be featured on Hochanda TV highlighting a fabulous selection of stamps.  This is one of the cards I have made for the show.

I used a background I'd prepared previously using a gelli plate with Colorbox inks brayered on and splatters of Brusho paint to create the mottled look.

Using Versafine "Vintage Sepia" shade of ink, I stamped the "Willow Arch" twice to create a curved line.  I then coloured it with two shades of Arteza Brush Pens.

Using a "Stars 2" from the pound stamp section of the Lavinia Site, I randomly stamped the stars across the background using a Memento Ink in a shade called "London Fog".

Using Versafine Clair ink in the shade of "Chianti", I multiple stamped the "Mini Berry"

I then stamped the sentiment, called "Spirit of Christmas" and the "Mini Holly", both in Versafine "Olympia Green" shade of ink.

Finally, I added some subtle shimmer to the card using a gold Sakura Gelly Roll pen.  A white Posca pen for highlighting and Stickles for the holly berries in a "Xmas Red" shade.

Lavinia Stamps "Foxglove" Congratulations Gift Tag

I couldn't decide what to make today, so decided on a little gift tag.

I created the background using Distress Inks in a number of different shades applied with a paint brush.

When dry, I stamped the Lavinia Stamps "Foxgloves" using Memento Ink in the shades of "Grape Jelly" for the flowers and "Bamboo Leaves" for the stems.

The "congratulations" sentiment, is part of a Papertrey Ink set called "Fillable Frames Sentiments" which was also stamped in the same "Grape Jelly" ink.

I stamped the Lavinia "snail" and the "bee" which are both from their pound stamp section in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink and coloured the bee body with a yellow/orange Arteza brush pen.

I added highlights with a Sakura Gelly Roll gold shimmer pen and also a white Signo pen.

Lavinia Stamps Design Team Sample for Hochanda TV on 23rd April 2019 (Set 1 - 3)

Lavinia Stamps will be featured on Hochanda TV on Tuesday 23rd April 2019 at 11am and 3pm.  This is a Design Team sample I have made for the show.

For this sample, I started by painting a rough landscape line , colouring the area below the line, in a very pale colour of green.  I blotted the area dry and popped a circle mask on the card to be used as a sun.  I taped a stencil into position over the card and the prepared landscape, using a low tack tape.  I marked each outer corner with a pencil, so I knew where to reposition it later.

Using Distress Inks and a sponge finger dabber.  I first used "Tumbled Glass" for sky and "Old Paper" for the land.  I then lifted and rotated the stencil and repositioned with tape.  Next I used "Broken China" on the sky and Twisted Citron" for the land area. After lifting the stencil away, I then lifted the mask I had made for the sun and coloured the circle using the "Scattered Straw" Distress Ink.

Using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink, I stamped the Lavinia Stamps fairy called "Josie".  Using the Distress Ink called "Peeled Paint", I created a landscape for the fairy to stand on.

I used three Lavinia "Pound Stamps" to add some extra detail.  The "Mini Leaf 1", the "Mini Snail" and the "Mini Slender Mushrooms" also stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne".  Finally, I added touches of white to the mushrooms and snail using a Signo Pen and a hint of gold shimmer using a Sakura Jelly Roll Pen.

Lavinia Stamps February 2019 Monthly Challenge #3

Every month, Lavinia Stamps have a monthly challenge.  As part of the Design Team, we are asked to produce samples to promote the challenge and inspire crafters to take part.  This is the third of three samples I have made on the challenge theme of "A Place To Escape To".

I started this card with a background of Distress Oxide Inks in the shades of Twisted Citron, Squeezed Lemonade and Tumbled Glass.  Using a Clarity Stencil to mask off the central area and covered the outer edge with Distress Ink in the shade of "Tea Dye" which created a shaped aperture for my fairy to go in.

I stamped the Lavinia Stamps "Spiral Of Spells" stamp in Versafine Clair "Verdant" shade of ink.  Then stamped the Lavinia fairy called "Faith" in Versafine Clair "Paradise" shade of ink.

I used a couple of Lavinia "pound stamps" around the edge of the stencil and then used touches of white and silver glitter Signo Pen on the wings and across the card to replicate fairy dust.

Baby Girl Gift Tag

I've used various shades of Distress Oxides to create the coloured background for this tag.

I stamped the central image using a Stampendous wood mounted block (V061 Baby Romper Block 2004).  I used a Lavinia Stamps star clear pound stamp to stamp the multiple stars in the background.

I then added the daisy border using a Stamper's Anonymous "Ornate Trims" stamp. The other text is using Darkroom Door Stamps from their "Hello Baby, Vol 1".  I finally added some sticky back pearl gems for the romper buttons.

Lavinia Stamps Sunset Hare and Foxglove Tag

Another Lavinia Stamps make today - it will be my #4 entry into their Creativity Challenge for the month of June.

I started off with a plain tag and dragged it through Tim Holtz Distress Oxides then dried with my heat gun.

I then used a Visible Image mask/Stencil called "Time Tunnel", spritzed it with water and lay it over the tag for a minute.  Once lifted off, it leaves a faded impression of the original colours, it's a nice way to give detail to the background without it being too much in your face.  I then used the heat gun to dry the tag.

I then stamped one of the Lavinia Stamps "Woodland Hares" to the lighter area in the middle of the tag.  Next I used a torn piece of card and my Distress Inks to create a hilly landscape for the Hare to sit on.

I moved on to framing the Hare by using the Lavinia  Foxglove stamps, Birds stamps and the Creeping Vine stamps all stamped in Versafine Ink.

Finally using one of the Lavinia Pound stamps I added some very light coloured stars in a Memento "London Fog" colour, to suggest a little magic.  I then added a few lighter areas with a white Signo pen.
