Day 9 of "Karen Telfer's 24 Days of Tags 2023" challenge

This is my take on the Day 9 tag of Karen Telfer's "24 Days of Tags 2023" challenge.

For the background colour, I have used two shades of Distress Oxide inks on a spritzed piece of card.  I used "Salvaged Patina" and "Peacock Feathers".

Once dry, I used the "Peacock Feathers" Distress Oxide Ink to stamp the Lavinia "Snowflakes (small) across the surface of the background.  I then gave the surface a very fine splattering of white paint, to break up the surface colour a little.

Using a 300 gsm white card and the Sizzix / Tim Holtz "Flurry #1 - 663105" die, I cut two large snowflakes.  I then cut them up into sections and glued into position so that the background design was still visible.

I mounted the tag on to a white piece of backtorund card, then cut a ring re-inforcer in white using a We R Memory Keepers punch and stuck into position.

I went around the edge of the coloured area with a silver gel pen to add a little subtle sparkle and then added clear and pearl gem stones to compliment the colours I had already used on the tag.

Day 3 Tag of Karen Telfer's "24 Days of Tag Challenge 2024"

This is my Day 3 tag of Karen Telfer's "24 Days of Tags 2023" challenge.  I'm happy to say I am up to date... for now!

I really enjoyd making this tag, in fact I may well make more to go on Christmas gifts in different colour way stencils by Funky Fossil Designs for the background, using "Snow Crystal" and "Snow is falling" with "Blueprint Sketch" Distress Oxide Ink.

Over the top I stamped two different snowflake stamp sets by Lavinia Stamps using Versafine Clair "Twilight" dark blue ink.  I used the same ink to stamp the Simon Says Stamp sentiment, part of their "Tiny Words - Christmas" stamp set.

Day 1 Tag of Karen Telfer's "24 Days of Tags Challenge" 2023

In previous years, I have taken part in Karen Telfer's "24 Days of Tags Challenge".  Last Saturday, the challenge started for 2023, but I was away visiting family, so I am playing catch up already.

This is the first tag I've made.  I've not really done much different on it from the original that Karen made.  The major difference is that I decided not to use any green on my tag.

I've used the Sweet Poppy Stencil "Small Winter Cottage" stamped in Versafine Clair "Acorn" brown ink.

I've used Wow! Bright White embossing powder for some of the snowflakes and heat set.

To colour around the cottage, I have used Distress Oxide Inks, using "Tea Dye" around the cottage, then "Picked Raspberry" then "Festive Berries".  I edged the tag in Versafine Clair "Acorn" brown ink.

I used the Lavinia Stamps "Sacred Script" stamp with Versafine Clair "Charming Pink" ink, stamped in second generation stamping.

I used the same ink for stamping some of the Lavinia Stamps "Snowflakes" too, also using "Acorn" ink in second generation stamping.

Lavinia Stamps "Winter Whispers" Snowflake Aperture Card

Still playing with the new Lavinia Stamps, this time using a gel plate background.

I started off with a gel plate background, where I had used Distress Inks, spritzed with water then took the press.  By memory, I think I used Squeezed Lemonade, Picked Raspberry, Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles shades of Distress Ink.

I ran an anti-static pad over the inked surface, then using a Wow! ink pad I stamped the new Lavinia Stamps large and small "Snowflakes" and then coated the inked images with Wow! Bright White super fine embossing powders and heat set.

I cut a circle aperture in to a piece of white card and the exposed circle shape over the inked and embossed background, sticking in position with sticky tape.  I then mounted it on to a piece of dark red card and then on to a white card blank.

I stamped the sentiment using one of the new Lavinia Stamps "Christmas Greetings" stamp.  I first stamped it in Versafine Clair "Chianti" but I wasn't happy with the colour match, so added some Versafine Clair "Acorn" brown ink over the top.

Finally, I added some dots of white gel pen between the snowflakes and added some silver sticky backed gems to the middle of each snowflake for extra dimension.

Lavinia Stamps "Winter Whispers" snowflake kraft Christmas card

A quick CAS card made using some of the new Lavinia Stamps.

I used a piece of kraft card for the base of this card, then drew a circle in the middle using a white pastel pencil.  I used this circle as my stamping guide.

I used the large and the small new  "Snowflake" stamps, paired with one of Lavinia Stamps older snowflake stamp sets for the tiny snowflakes at eack end.  I also used the new Lavinia "Christmas Greetings" sentiment stamp set too.

I ran an anti static bag over the surface of the card then used a Wow! ink pad and the Wow! White Puff Twinkle embossing powder and heat set.

Day 13 of "24 Days of Tags 2021" with Karen Telfer

Day 13 and I am still tagging along with the Karen Telfer "24 Days of Tags 2021" challenge.

For todays tag, I have used Squeexed Lemonade, Twisted Citron and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink on a gel plate, tapped water droplets on the plate and then took an impression.  I used a heat gun to dry the surface.

Once the surface was dry, I used Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" ink to stamp the sentiment (Lavinia Stamps "Winter Magic" verse) in both first and second generation stamping.

I then used the same colour ink to stamp other Lavinia Stamps images using their "Wreath Flourish (left)" stamp and their "Snowflakes" stamp set. I then inked the edges of the tag with "Peacock Feathers" Distress Oxide Ink.

I used a coloured pencil to colour areas of the wreath and then added dots of "White Opal" Liquid Pearlsto the middle of the snowflakes.
