Pink Ink Designs "Sea Turtle" CAS Card

I've continued my play with the Pink Ink Designs "Sea Turtle (PI019)" set making this clean and simple card.

Using the Wow! Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Pad, I stamped the sentiment onto the card.  I then coated it with their "Earthtone Blueberry" embossing powder and heat set.

On a separate piece of small card, I did the same process stamping the turtle and heat set.  Once cool, I coloured the turtle using an Arteza Brush Pen.

For the background of the turtle, I used a wash of Distress Oxide Inks in the shades of "Cracked Pistachio" and "Tumbled Glass".  I added a few silver glitter accents using a glitter Signo Pen.  I then cut down and mounted the turtle onto blue card and adhered the topper to the main card.

As the Pink Ink Designs "Sea Turtle (PI019)" stamp set was still on my desk, I decided to make another card, but instead used some of the smaller stamps in the set.

First I dragged an anti-static bag across the surface of the card.  I used the "Turtley Awesome" sentiment first by using a "Wow! Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Pad" and their "Super Fine Metallic Silver" embossing powder and heat set.

I then stamped the larger turtle across the page, using the same stamp pad but used "Regular Earthtone Blueberry" shade of embossing powder and heat set.

Next I stamped the small turtle, in the same clear ink but used an embossing powder in the shade of "Jealous Guy" it's a green/yellow sort of shade and heat set.

Using an Arteza brush pen, I coloured in the white areas on the turtles.

Finally, to create the background, I used three shades of Distress Oxide Inks (Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass and Cracked Pistashio), applied in a wash with a paint brush.

Pink Ink Designs "Sea Turtle" Card with Wow! Embossing

Today I have played with a stamp by a manufacturer that I have not used before "Pink Ink Designs".  I was slightly out of my comfort zone as this is a large stamp and I prefer to work with a smaller scale.

Having said that, the plate of stamps were a pleasure to use.  For this card, I have used their "Sea Turtle (PI019)" which is part of their "Nautical Series".

I started by using stamping the turtle image with  Wow! Embossing Ink Pad (I used the "Clear, ultra slow drying" one) and Wow! powder.  I used the Super Fine Metallic Silver shade.  I then heated the stamped image with the heat gun to create a raised outline image.

I used Distress Oxide Inks applied with a wet paint brush to create the background scene.  I used the following shades:  Tumbles Glass, Cracked Pistachio, Twisted Citron, Shabby Shutters and Salty Ocean.

Once the background was try and flattened, it gets a little distorted in shape due to the wet surface.  I moved on to stamp the weeds.  I used two shades of Versafine Clair Inks (Verdant and Shady Lane), I also used a Distress Oxide Ink in the shade of "Peeled Paint".

I coloured the weeds and the turtle image in using Arteza Brush Pens, they are beautifully soft to use, very much like using a brush rather than a felt pen.

Finally, I added some white high-lighted areas using a Signo Pen and adhered some Nuvo sequins in the shade of "Diamond" to replicate air bubbles.
