Tracy Evans Boutique Designs "Special Delivery TE64" Flower on Brusho Artist Trading Card

This is my Artist Trading Card (ATC) for the day.  I have used a small piece of a Brusho paint background from my stash for the background colour.

I used Versafine Clair "Morning Mist`' grey ink to stamp the flower, which is part of the Tracy Evans Boutique Designs"Special Delivery TE64" stamp set.

On the left hand side, I multi stamped the text saying "Plant a gardem, and breathe new life into a space", using Versfine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink again.  The text is part of the Tracy Evans "Explore Nature TE67" stamp set.

I coloured the flower using Derwent Inktense pencils and a white gel pen.  Finally, adding the sentiment. also part of the "Explore Nature TE67" stamp set, stamped vertically in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.

Funky Fossil Designs "Stencils Unlocked" Techniques - Day 2a 2b and 2C

Today is Day 2 of "Stencils Unlocked" a free technique tutorial on how to get the most from your stencils.  Here's the link on thier site.

For the Alcholol lift, I used a piece background from my stash that I had made maybe two years ago.  Using Alcohol Lift Ink to lift the pattern below the Funky Fossil Designs "Striped Circle Mask".

For the Brusho Paint Lift, I again used a background I already had in my stash, using neat bleach on a q-tip through areas of the Funky Fossil Designs "Woodcut Flowers Stencil by Zinski Art".  The bleach did bleed a little under the stencil but for this purpose the end result is fine.

The final one is using Acrylic paints, I used the following colours Ochre, Vermillion and Viridan Green, applied loosely with a paint brush.  I lay the Funky Fossil Designs "Wavy Grid Stencil" over the surface of the tacky paint and dabbed the surface using a wet wipe to lift the paint.

Of the three I made today, the acrylic paint one is my favourite as I tend not to do those colours but they work so well together here.

Tracy Evans Boutique Designs - Seed Pods Card

Well here I am, in my new home and in the craft room too.

Hubby has worked wonders and has prepped, decorated and put new flooring down in the room.  I've been busy all week unpacking boxes and moving things from what seems one place to another, but I am happy to say I have just faffed and made a quick card.

I used a Brusho background from my existing stash for the background.  Then stamped the background design, which is part of the Tracy Evans Boutique Designs "Garden Elements - TW30" stamp set in Versafine Clair "Acorn" brown ink.

I then used Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink to stamp the Tracy Evans "Seed Pods - TE29" stamp.  Finally adding some touches of gold coloured gel pen.

Tiffany Johnson Creative #100daysaertplay Challenge - Day 67

Well I've got two thrids of the way through the Tiffany Johnson Creative #100daysartplay Challenge.  I can see the light of the finish line at the end of the tunnel. The prompt for this week should be "Dollar Tree" finds, but here in the UK, we don't have Dollar Tree, so I'm making making anything I fancy this week.

For this card, I used a piece of gel plate/Brusho background I had in my stash.  Stamping the Creative Expression "Hexagon Script" over the surface using Versafine Clair "Charming Pink" ink.  I used the same ink to ink the edges of the card. I splattered some white paint from a Posca Pen across the surface of the card.

I used Wow! Clear Embossing Ink and Wow! Bright White Super Fine Embossing Powder to stamp the dandelion and sentiment and then heat set.  (I'm not sure who made the stamp set, it's one I've had for years with a reference of SSC1106 STM2010). I then mounted the card on to a piece of pink paper and then on to a white card blank.

Sweet Poppy Stencils "Daisy" Birthday Card

I raided my file of previously made backgrounds and came across a Brusho background that I felt would work with a stamp I had in mind.  This card is the result.

Using the Brusho background, I stamped the Sweet Poppy Daisy from their "A5 Daisies" stamp set, using three Versafine Clair inks (Acorn, Summertime and Tulip Red).

I then stamped the sentiment, which is part of the Sweet Poppy stencil stamp set called "Hugs and Kisses" in Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" ink.

I used Derwent Inktense pencils to colour the daisy, using lots of different shades of red, orange and yellows.  I then used a metallic gold gel pen and a gold shimmer pen to add extra detail to the petal area.  I wasn't totally happy with it, so added some dots of red, yellow and orange Posca Pens to the petals too.

Lavinia Stamps "Willow the witch" card

I used a Brusho background from my stash, that I had made some months ago. I stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink, using the following Lavinia Stamps:

  • Willow the witch
  • Bats
  • Foliage Set 2
I added touches of glitter pen, white Signo Pen and darkened the edges of the card using more Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink.

Sweet Poppy "Oriental Cherry Blossom SP1-330" on Brusho Card

I fell in love with a Sweet Poppy Stencil called "Oriental Cherry Blossom" so had to order it!.  I came back from a few days away in the caravan and my order had been delivered, so as soon as the unpacking was done and the washing machine was on, I wasted no time in having a play.

I used a small Brusho paint background I had in my stash.  Round the edges of the paint splatters I used another Sweet Poppy stencil called "Plaid Back Plate SP6-122" with two shades of Distress Inks:  Squeezed Lemonade and Ripe Persimmon" this filled in the white areas.

I then lay the Sweet Poppu "Oriental Cherry Blossom" stencil down over the background and using a metal spreader with the Sweet Poppu "Glossy Red Stencil Paste" filled in the areas of the stencil. I then set it aside for an hour or two.

Once dry, I noticed that some of the paste had oozed under the stencil.  I used a white gel pen to fill in the excess red areas.  I used a white and a black Posca Pen to add splatters.

Finally, I used a Lawn Fawn "Hello" sentiment from their "Simply Sentiments" stamp set, stamped in Verafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.

Lavinia Stamps "Indra" on a Brusho Gel Plate background

This morning I used one of my lesser used Lavinia Stamps to create this card.

In my stash, I found a background I had made many months ago, using a circular Gel Plate and Brusho paints, so I decided that this would be my base.

I used the Lavinia "Indra" large moth stamp, stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink and then coated in Wow! Clear Embossing Powder and heat set.

Around the edge of the circle and moth, I used "Shaded Lilac" Distress Oxide Ink through the Lavinia "Feather Leaf Stencil".  I decided this was too pale, so I then used both the large and the small "Maple Leaf" stamps, in two shades of Archival Inks "Fern Green" and "Prickly Pear".

I used a white Gelly Roll Pen to add highlights to areas of the leaves and the moth.  I added two shades of Liquid Pearls "White Opal" and "Lavender Lace" to areas of the card too.

Waffle Flower "Essential Sentiments" Congratulations Brusho Card

This morning I made a congratulations card.  My Hubby is taking his flying exam at this very minute, so I have my fingers crossed that he calls me with positive news later and I wanted to give him a little card to acknowledge his achievement.

I have used one of the Brusho backgrounds I made earlier in the week, I've added a touch more colour around the edges using "Tumbled Glass" and "Shaded Lilac" Distress Oxide ink.

Using one of the Lavinia Stamps "Mini Star stamps" and Memento"London Fog" ink, I stamped the grey stars randomly.

I used Versafine Clair "Blue Belle" ink to stamp the Waffle Flower sentiment, which is part of their "Essential Sentiments" stamp set, I then die cut the sentiment and adhered to the card.

Finally, I used a Sakura gel pen to add a bit of silver sparkle to the middle of the stars and adding small dots across the card.

Visible Image "Stay Wild" Birthday Card

Today I made this birthday card using one of the Brusho paint backgrounds that I made earlier in the week.  When I made the background I thought it leant itself to the ocean, so pairing it with the horse from the Visible Image "Stay Wild" stamp set, seemed to be the natural thing to do.

I stamped the horse using Versafine Clair "Twilight" dark blue ink.  I added some colour around the horse using "Tumbled Glass" and "Peacock Feathers" Distress Oxide Ink though the Visible Image "Ripped Fishnet" stencil.  I added splashes with a white Posca Pen and silver dots using a gel roll pen.

I use a Simon Says Stamp sentiment, part of their "Tiny Words - Birthday" stamped in Versafine Clair "Twilight" Dark Blue Ink.

Lavinia Stamps heat embossed "Fairy Dandelions" Brusho Card

As I had my Brusho paints out, I decided to simulate a recent card I saw made by the super talented "Eileen Godwin" using heat embossing and Brusho paint.

I heat embossed the Lavinia Stamps "Fairy Dandelions" stamp using Wow! clear embossing ink and powder.

I then sprinkled two shades of Brusho pain tgranules, (I used Gamboge and Prussian Blue), over the lightly spritzed surface and watched the colours develop and spread.  Once dry, I added some splatters of white Posca Pen to break up some of the darker areas of blue.
