Forget Me Not "Rabbit Stencil" Birthday Card

I have received a lovely selection of stamps and stencils from Sharon Everett from The Forget Me Not Kraft Kabin, so decided to play with a rabbit stencil.

I lay & taped the Forget Me Not "Rabbit" Stencil on top of a piece of card.  I sectioned off the bottom third of the card, colouring the top with a Distress Ink in the shade of "Coloured Straw".  I then taped a Tim Holtz stencil called "Rays" into position over the rabbit stencil and added another shade of Distress Ink in the shades of "Dried Marigold".  Closer to the rabbit shape, I added a darker shade of Distress Ink called "Spiced Marmalade".

I removed the rays stencil and tape, retaining the position of the "rabbit" stencil and rough painted Distress Oxiedes to replicate a grassy area, using the shades of: Shabby Shutters, Bundled Sage and Twisted Citron.  I then removed the outline shaped rabbit stencil and replaced with the outer shape of the stencil (this means only the plain rabbit shape itself is shown).

Using a small flower stamp from a Visible Image set called "Create It" I multiple stamped the flower within the shape of the rabbit body, using Versafine Ink in the shade of "Stormy Grey" ink.  I deliberatly stamped the eye area very lightly so that the eye is drawn to that area.

I removed the stencil and went around the outline of the rabbit using a pencil.  I coloured in the middle of the rabbit eye with the pencil too and then added an edge of white to the eye using a Signo Pen.  Then to add a little more interest added a touch of Glossy Accents to the eye to give it a more glassy look.

Finally, using a sentiment stamp set by "Forget Me Not" I stamped the "Happy Birthday" again using Versafine "Stormy Grey" ink.  I also added a touch of sparkle to the orange sunrays by using a wet paint brush with some Brusho SprinkleIT in "Iridescent Gold" shade.

Week 23 - 52 Week Mini Art Card / Tag Challenge 2019

The prompt for Week 23 is "Stencil"

For my tag, I started off with a manilla coloured tag and sprayed half of it with Distress Oxide Spray in the colour of "Vintage Photo".

Once the ink was dry, I used a Distress Ink in the shade of "Fired Brick" through a Funky Fossil stencil called "Leaf Mandala".  I then used the same ink through an Andy Skinner stencil called "Tornado".  I moved the stencil then applied a different colour called "Walnut Stain".

Using a Versafine Clair ink in the "Pine Cone" shade I stamped the Visible Image word "Dreamer" from their "Own It" set.

Using a Memento Ink in the shade of "Rhubarb Stalk", I stamped the Visible Image butterflies from their "Wings of Change" set on a piece of manilla card.  I cut around the shapes, added some metallic gold dots and then adhered to the tag.  Finally, I inked the edges of the tag in the "Fired Brick" shade of Distress Ink.

Forget Me Not "Seahorse" Card

For this card, I have used "The Forget Me Not Kraft Kabin" seahorse stamp.  I'm not sure if you can read the writing alongside the belly of the seahorse, but it reads"...to be free as a seahorse..."

This card started with a base that I had prepared on the gelli plate using Colorbox ink brayered on to the gell plate and splashes of Brusho paint. The background in real life is the palest of blue with pretty blue and green markings.

I then stamped the "Seahorse" image using Versafine Clair "Blue Belle" shade of ink.  I coloured in the seahorse using assorted shades of Arteza Brush Pens.

Using a stencil with assorted sized circles cut out of it, I filled the circles using a Wow! Embossing Pen.  I then coated the circles in Wow! Sea Mist embossing powder and heat set.

Part of the Seahorse stamp set are some bubbles, so I stamped these across the card using a Memento ink in the shade of "London Fog".  Using a white and a silver glitter Signo pen, I added highlights to various areas of the card.

Guest Designer for The Forget Me Not Kraft Kabin

I received some exciting news this week.  I was asked to be a "Guest Designer" for The Forget Me Not Kraft Kabin, which is a "bricks & mortar" shop based in Essex and run by Sharon Everett.

I met Sharon recently, at a retreat that she ran in Norwich last month.  In the retreat goodie bag were some stamps that have been designed for the Kraft Kabin by Sharon.  I left it a couple of weeks and decided to have a play with a devil stamp and shared the image with Sharon.  Not long after, Sharon asked if I would make some items to help promote her products, which obviously I was happy to do.

Today, I have received a fabulous package of stamps and stencils, so you can look forward to lots more makes with the Kraft Kabin name on it.

Design Team Make for the "Love To Craft Challenge Blog" #35

Well these months are certainly flying, it only seems a few weeks ago we were celebrating the new year and now I'm sharing a make for the "Love To Craft Challenge Blog" for June 2019!

If you have a spare minute, please do pop over to the challenge blog and take a look at the fab makes by my Design Team colleagues and maybe enter the challenge yourself, it's an "Any Thing Goes (ATG)" challenge.

For this card, I started by using Distress Ink in the shade of "Carved Pumpkin" through a Visible Image stencil called "Entwined Butterflies".

Using Versafine Clair "Monarch" shade of ink, I stamped the Visible Image sentiment from their "Go To Words" stamp set and the butterflies from their "Wings Of Change" set onto coloured paper (two shades of pink and a turquoise colour).
I then cut out the stamped butterfly shapes and adhered to the card.

For this challenge Design Team sample, I decided to make a tag.  I started with a base of Distress Oxide inks, initially brayered on to the tag and then spritzed and splattered with water droplets to get a more uneven appearance.

I started stamping the "Skeleton Tree" in the background in Versafine "Stormy Gray" shade of ink.  I then stamped the "Glow Flowers" in Versafine Clair "Monarch" shade of ink.  I then stamped the "Meadow Grass" in Versafine Clair "Fantasia" ink.  In Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink I stamped the "Wild Flower", "Small Pixie" and Rory from the "Rory and Darcy" twin pack.  I then stamped "Mini Stars" in Memento "London Fog" shade of ink.

I added dots of Liquid Pearls in the shade of "Mermaid" to the "Glow Flowers".  I used a Sakura Gelly Roll Pen (in soft gold shimmer shade) to colour in the "Wild Flowers".  I udes a silver glitter Signo Pen to add sparkle to the star fairy dust and also to to the tops of the "Glow Flowers.
