On a week when the sun has actually started to shine and give us some heat, crafting has not been high on the agenda, so I'm a little later in the day posting the prompt for this week.
The Prompt for Week 17 is "A Nursery Rhyme".
So where do I start with telling you about this tag. I started by sticking a piece of used wrapping paper onto a tag. I then found some old paint tester pots & mini rollers and decided to grunge the background by dragging and daubing the paint. I then inked the edges in a red and a black ink. (Here's the paper and paint, before I started).
I then stamped the shells using a Hero Arts wood mounted set called "Little Shells - LL738", coloured them with Promarkers and then cut them out.
Using the Sizzix Big Shot, I die cut the flowers using the Tim Holtz Stamper's Anonymous "Flower Jar Framelits 662270). I then coloured them using my pastels and a moist paintbrush.
The assembly started by arranging the flower die cuts and sticking them into position. I then positioned and glued the sea shells to the base of the tag. I printed out part of the verse, cut it into sections then boxed them with a black biro before sticking them into position. I then completed the rhyme by writing it around the edge of the tag. Finally, I tied some silver bells together and added a ribbon.
If you would like to take part in the challenge, please take a look at the info button to the right of the "home" button at the top of this page.
To join in with the challenge, there is a Facebook page. Once you have joined, you will be able to share your weekly creations and talk to other members of the group. It's very informal, there is no pressure to create, you just do what you can, when you can.
