Lavinia Stamps "Maka the wolf"" and the owl card

I don't usually make cards for other people.  I don't like the pressure it puts me under and there is obviously the fear of disappointment that I've not made what they wanted.

Last night I received a message asking if I could make a wolf card for a special occasion in a month.  I reluctantly agreed.  As I was up early this morning, I decided to make the card, so it was done and out of the way, instead of me spending time fretting about it.  This is the card I made.

I used a spray ink Dylusion spray ink background from my stash that I had made some months previously. I used my Van Goch Pastel Pencils to add a bit more colour to a few areas too.

I used Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink with an assortment of Lavinia Stamps, including "Maka the wolf", Woodland Fern, The Red Pines and Foliage Set. I also used Gel and Posca Pens for colour and highlights.

I used a sentiment from a Simon Says Stamp set called "Tiny Words Encouragement" also stamped in "Nocturne" black ink.

Lavinia Stamps "Maka" Birthday Card

It seems that Lavinia Stamps is my brand of choice at the moment, as here is another birthday card I've made using them.

For this card, I have used a Lavinia "Moon Mask" and then coloured the background sky area with "Violet Chalk" Element ink, then Chipped Sapphire" Distress Oxide ink to give the sky depth.  For the lower area of the card, I have used "Graphite" Elements Ink.

I have used the following Lavinia Stamps, (stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" and "Morning Mist" grey inks).  Maka the sitting wolf, Tree Branch, Gip, Small Branch, Floral Set and Foliage Set.

I have used white, red and purple gelly roll pens for hightlights.

The sentiment is by Lawn Fawn and is part of their "Simply Sentiments" stamp set.

Thanks to Lisa Taggart, who is on the Lavinia Samps Design Team, as I have used some aspects from one of her tutorials for this card.

Lavinia Stamps - Grand-daughter Birthday Card

Willow, our eldest Grand-daughter will be celebrating her 6th birthday in a couple of days.  I've included lots of her favourite things - dragons, fairies, wolves and horses on this card, which I've created using a whole selection of Lavinia Stamps and Distress Oxide inks applied with a brush.

I started by creating the background sky using the following Distress Oxide inks:  Antique Linen, Tumbled Glass and Broken China.

I moved on to the grassy areas using Shabby Shutters, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxides.

I stamped the "Tree Root"  in Versafine "Vintage Sepia" ink.  I then stamped the "Skeleton Tree" in Versafine "Smokey Gray" ink.  Using the torn edge of a piece of copy paper, I created the landscape lines using Versafine "Olympia Green" shade of ink.

Using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink I stamped the "Twilight" fairy, "Maka" the wolf and the hedghog, which is part of the "Wallace Family

I stamped the dragon, which is part of the "Dragon Set" in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink.  I stamped the "Horse & Foal" in Versafine Clair "Acorn" brown ink.

I painted the tree trunk with a selection of greens and brown coloured Distress Oxide Inks.  I used a white Signo Pen and an orange Posca pen to creat the flowers on the grass.  I also used the Signo Pen to add highlights to some of the figures.

I stamped the "Field Grass" at the base of the card using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.  Finally, I stamped the sentiment using a magnetic Rubbadubbaoo stamp set.

I started by stamping the figure "Zemira" and the wolf "Maka" using Versafine Clair "Morning Mist grey coloured ink.

Using the torn edge of a piece of copy paper, I created the landscape using two shades of Distress Oxide Inks:  Tumbled Glass and Weathered Wood.

I stamped the Lavinia Small Fairy Fir Tree and the Small Fairy Fir Tree 2 stamped in Distress Oxide "Weathered Wood" along the landscape lines.

Using Distress Oxide inks, I created the sky colour.  First using Distress Oxide ink "Milled Lavender" and then "Stormy Sky", edging the card with Distress Oxide Ink "Black Soot"

I then stamped the Lavinia "Tree Scene", "Birds" and the "Once Upon A Dream" sentiment in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" ink.

Using the Distress Oxide Ink "Milled Lavender" I stamped the "Lunar Buds".

I stamped the Lavinia "Snowflakes" using a Memento ink called "London Fog".  I added some clear gems to the landscape and white highlights and dots of snow using a Signo Pen.

Lavinia Stamps August 2019 Monthly Challenge - Create Your Own Dream #2

On the first of each month, Lavinia Stamps announce a new monthly challenge theme.  The theme for August 2019 is "Create Your Own Dream".  If you enter and your name is drawn, after the 25th you could win £40 of vouchers to spend on Lavinia goodies.

This is a card that I have made as part of the Lavinia Stamps Design Team.

I used Distress Oxide Sprays to create the background, using Fossilised Amber, Spiced Marmalade and Faded Jeans shades.

Using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink,  I stamped the wolves Maka (the seated wolf) and Valko (the standing wolf).

I then masked off a circle for the sun and edged it with Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" ink.  Using the same ink, I created the landscape, by tearing a piece of paper and dragging the ink from the paper downwards, which I repeated several times with the paper in different positions. Using the same ink, I stamped the "Skeleton Tree".

Using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink again, I stamped the "Birds" and part of the "Embrace Your Dreams" sentiment.  Finally, I inked the edge of the card and then added some white high-lights to the wolves using a white Signo Pen.

Lavinia Stamps May 2019 Monthly Challenge - Make It Bright (Sample #3)

Every month, Lavinia Stamps has a monthly challenge,   It's a random draw, so everybody who enters has a chance of winning the £40 of vouchers to spend on Lavinia goodies.

The theme of the May 2019 challenge is "Make It Bright".

As part of the Lavinia Stamps Design Team, we are asked to produce three samples for the challenge.  This is my third sample which I have called "The Moon Call".

I used a background that I had prepared a few weeks back using Brusho in Emerald Green and Gamboge.

I masked off a circle for the moon and added a grey ring for definition using Distress Ink

I stamped the "Spring Trees" in Versafine Clair ink, using the "Morning Mist" for the distant trees and the "Nocturne" for the ones in the foreground.  I then stamped "Maka" the seated wolf in the same ink.

I then created the landscape using Distress Inks and a torn piece of card, I also added some purple areas to the sky to give it a more dramatic look.

Finally, I added some "Mini Slender Mushrooms" to the foreground and added white highlights, using a Signo Pen, across the card to give the impression of light hitting surfaces.

Maka and the Owl Card - #laviniastamps

Today I have played with another of the recently released stamps by Lavinia Stamps.  "Maka" is the seated wolf!

I used a background I had previously prepared using Brusho paint.  I started by stamping "Sacred Spells" in two areas on the card.

I then stamped another new release called "Tree Of Faith" and then "Maka" the seated wolf.  Next, I stamped the "Tree Root", the "Large Owl" and the "Mini Slender Mushrooms". I added highlighted areas in white and shimmer using Signo Pens.
