Lavinia Stamps November 2019 Monthly Challenge "Winter Wonderland"

Every month Lavinia Stamps has a new challenge theme.  For November 2019, the challenge theme is "Winter Wonderland".  If you enter and your name is randomly drawn, you will win £40 of vouchers to spend on lovely Lavinia Goodies.  You will find all the details you need to enter here.

I started by stamping the figure "Zemira" and the wolf "Maka" using Versafine Clair "Morning Mist grey coloured ink.

Using the torn edge of a piece of copy paper, I created the landscape using two shades of Distress Oxide Inks:  Tumbled Glass and Weathered Wood.

I stamped the Lavinia Small Fairy Fir Tree and the Small Fairy Fir Tree 2 stamped in Distress Oxide "Weathered Wood" along the landscape lines.

Using Distress Oxide inks, I created the sky colour.  First using Distress Oxide ink "Milled Lavender" and then "Stormy Sky", edging the card with Distress Oxide Ink "Black Soot"

I then stamped the Lavinia "Tree Scene", "Birds" and the "Once Upon A Dream" sentiment in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" ink.

Using the Distress Oxide Ink "Milled Lavender" I stamped the "Lunar Buds".

I stamped the Lavinia "Snowflakes" using a Memento ink called "London Fog".  I added some clear gems to the landscape and white highlights and dots of snow using a Signo Pen.

Lavinia Stamps October 2019 New Release - Zanor

Lavinia Stamps have created some wonderful new stamps that will be available to purchase on their web site from 4th October.  The pegasus, in this card is one of the new release stamps and is called "Zanor".

I started this card using a background of Dylusion Spray Inks in three shades:  Pure Sunshine, Squeezed Orange and a very light spray of Melted Chocolate.

I started by stamping the female figure, Zemira and then Zanor the pegasus, both in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" shade of black ink.  I then masked of a round shape for the moon and covered the area with a very light coating of Distress Oxide Ink in a shade of "Milled Lavender" just to lighten the area.  I went around the edge of the moon with another shade of Distress Oxide Ink called "Black Soot".  I used the same ink to create the base that Zemira stands on.

I used the Lavinia Stamps "Spring Trees", "Skeleton Trees" and the "Skeleton Trees Scene" to create the tree lined background, stamped in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" ink.

Using the "Black Soot" Distress Oxide Ink, I created the landscape to tie it all in together using a torn edge of a piece of paper.

I stamped the "Ducks" and the "Meadow Grass" in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.

Finally, I used an assortment of colours of Sakura Gelli Roll Pen to add some floral detail to the landscape.  I used a gold Sakura pen to add highlights across the card and a white Signo Pen to add highlights to the hair, mane and tail areas.

Lavinia Stamps Design Team Sample for Hochanda TV August 2019 - Zemira and the Dragon Beasts

Lavinia Stamps will be featuring some of their brand new stamp designs on Hochanda TV on 22nd August 2019.  This was a Design Team sample I made using some of the new stamps, but I decided to submit another piece instead.

I created the background using Distress Oxide Inks, initially swooshing the ink across the surface then filling in areas with colour using a paintbrush.

For the sky area I used Antique Linen, Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Pumice Stone Distress Oxides.

Fro the lower land area I used Antique Linen , Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio, Bundled Sage and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxides.

I masked a circle and coloured it with a little more Spun Sugar and then edged it with Pumice Stone Distress Oxides to make the shape stand out a little more.

All the stamping was done using one shade of Versafine Clair Ink, in the shade of "Medieval Blue".

I first stamped the female figure called "Zemira".  Then the flying dragon which is part of a two stamp set called "Dragon Set".  I then stamped the script which is called "Dragon Verse".

Using a torn piece of card, I created the look of a landscape using the Bundled Sage Distress Oxide Ink.

I inked the edges in the Versafine Clair Medieval Blue ink but felt the areas needed something more.  So I decided to use "Tree Branch" and the "Mini Leaf 1" from the Lavinia pound stamp section.

I used a white Posca Pen to add highlights to all stamped areas of the card.  I also used it to create the impression of flowers in the grass too.

Lavinia Stamps Design Team Make for the August 2019 Hochanda TV Show - Zemira

On 22nd August 2019, Lavinia Stamps will be launching some of their new designs on Hochanda TV.  This is a card that I have made using some of the new stamps.

I created the background by using a "Northern Lights" technique I have shown on my blog previously.  Click here for a step by step photo tutorial.

Once the background was created I moved on to stamping, using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink throughout the card. I stamped the figure, called "Zemira" then the dragons, called "Dragon Set and then the sentiment, which is par of "Dragon Verse".  I drew with crystal ball free hand and coloured with a silver glitter Sakura Gelly Roll pen.

I used a Sakura Gelly Roll Pen and a white Posca Pen to add highlight areas to the card.

Lavinia Stamps August 2019 New Release Stamps "Sneak Peek" (Zemira and Flutterbies)

On the 22nd August, Lavinia Stamps will release a colelction of ten fabulous new stamp designs.  On the same day, my fellow Design Team member, Jo Rice will be promoting a selection of stamps on Hochanda TV at 11am and 3pm, so don't forget to tune in.

Here's a "Sneek Peek" of one of my cards featuring some of the new designs.  I've used a gelli plate background using Colorbox ink brayered onto the plate with wet Brusho sprinkled on using a fan brush.

I've then used a Sweet Poppy stencil - SP1-269 (designed by Tracey Dutton of Lavinia Stamps) to create the background design using a Distress Oxide ink in the shade of "Ripe Persimmon".  I've used a metallic gold pen to add extra detail, a pencil and also a white Posca Pen.

Using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink throughout, I stamped the figure "Zemira" and the butterflies called "Flutterbies".  I added some "Mini Slender Mushrooms", some hanging "Willow" and the word "Sparkle" from the sentiment called "Sparkle"

Lavinia Stamps August 2019 New Release Stamps Sneak Peek

On the 22nd August, Lavinia Stamps will be releasing ten new stamp sets.  Some will be on the Hochanda TV show, airing at 11am and 3pm, but all will also be available from the Lavinia Stamps web site.

As part of the Lavinia Stamps Design Team, I was fortunate to have a play with lovely new designs that stamp perfectly.

I created the background colour using Dylusion Spray Inks in the following colours:  Lemon Zest, Pure Sunshine, Squeezed Orange and Postbox Red.  Once the background was totally dry I commenced creating the image.

I masked off the moon and shaded the edges then gave the middle a lighter look by using a light covering of a Distress Oxide Ink called "Antique Linen".

I stamped the figure on the left, she is new and is called "Zemira" and the dragon called "Mideela".  I then moved to the right of the page and stamped "The Oracle" (she is an existing stamp in the Lavinia Stamp collection). All were stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink.

Using a Versafine Clair ink in the shade of "Morning Mist" I stamped the "Star Burst" flowers and then multiply stamped the "Dragon Verse" across the page.

I created the landscape that the figures stand on by using the torn edge of a piece of card and Distress Oxide Inks.

I decided the far left edge looked a little bare, so I used the "Vine" for that area and the "Mini Slender Mushrooms" for the base of the card, stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne.

Finally, I added touches of gold shimmer using a Sakura Gelly Roll pen.  I added highlight areas using a white Posca Pen and coloured the Star Burst flowers using a selection of glaze pens.
