Lavinia Stamps "Stag in the moonlight" card

This morning, I received a small order from Lavinia Stamps, as I needed a few bits and bobs, which included the "Stag" stamp, which I thought I had, but could not locate.  I wasted no time in having a play session with the stamp making this card.

I've used a Brusho background from my stash as the base, adding areas of ink through the Lavinia Stamps "Posy Stencil".

I have stamped in various shades of Versafine Clair ink (Monarch, Nocturne and Acorn), using the following stamps:

  • Stag
  • Small Branch
  • Foliage Set
  • Woodland Fern
  • Red Pine
  • Small Fairy Fir
I also used Posca Pens, Gel Pens and Van Goch Pastel Pencils to highlight areas.

Day 4 - 24 Days of Christmas Tag Challenge with Karen Telfer

It's Day 4 of the 24 Christmas Tag Challenge with Karen Telfer.  Today it's about stamping and die cutting.

I've used "Peeled Paint" Distress oxide Ink to shade the edges of the tag.  I die cut two circles, one slightly larger than the other.

On the smaller one, I stamped the Lavinia Stamps  "Small Fairy Fir Tree" in first and second generation, to achieve the appearance of distance, stamped in Versafine Clair "Shady Lane" green ink.  I then used a Stampin' up stamp set called "Holly Jolly Greetings" stamping the word "Joy" in black Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink.  Adhering the small circle over the large one.

I glued some thin black ribbon, part way down the tag then adhered the discs over the top, to provide the impression of a Christmas bauble.

I used a Spellbinder's Die from their "Victorian Tassels" set to cut the green foliage, which I adhered in two directions.  Finally, adding a small black bow over the join.

Day 2 - 24 Day Tag Challenge with Karen Telfer

It's Day 2 of the 24 Day Tag Challenge, organised by Karen Telfer.

Used on this tag were three Distress Oxide Inks:  Tumbled Glass, Shaded Lilac and Dusty Concorde to create the background.

Two Lavinia stamps were used the "Background Script" stamped in "Purple Delight" Versafine Clair ink and the "Small Fairy Fir Tree" stamped in "Purple Delight" Versafine Clair ink.

I used white acrylic paint, slightly diluted and a fan paint brush to create the snowstorm splatters.

Lavinia Stamps December 2019 Monthly Challenge - Snow At Christmas

On the first of every month, Lavinia Stamps announce their new monthly challenge theme.  For December 2019 the theme is "Snow At Christmas".

If you enter the challenge, (you can enter up to five times), and your name is randomly drawn after the 25th of the month, then you win £40 of vouchers to spend on lovely Lavinia goodies.

For my Design Team sample card, I started by stamping the "Small Fairy Fir Tree" and "Small Fairy Fir Tree 2" in Distress Oxide Inks, in the shades of Iced Spruce and Weathered Wood.

Using the torn edge of a piece of copy paper, I created the landscape using Versafine "Smokey Gray" and Distress Oxide "Tumbled Glass" inks.  I masked off the spotlight/moon area and edged it with the Versafine "Smokey Gray" ink too.

I stamped "Oona" the fairy in Versafine Clair "Twilight" dark blue ink.  Using the same ink, I stamped the "Spirit of Christmas" sentiment, broken up into two separate lines.

For the snowball by the hand of "Oona" the fairy, I stamped one of the "Bubbles" in Versafine "Smokey Gray" coloured ink.  Using the same ink, I stamped two of the "Fairy Orbs", to create the impression of a snowman.

I drew on the face and scarf of the snowman, colouring the scarf in a bright red shade of ink.

For the arms of the snowman, I used part of the "Fern Branch" stamped in Versafine Clair "Twilight" ink.

Around the fairy, I added some stars using a pound stamp, stamped in Memento "London Fog" grey ink.

Finally, I grounded the trees, snowman and fairy using pencil shading.  I added a touch of sparkle by using a silver sparkle Signo pen.

Lavinia Stamps November 2019 Hochanda TV Preview - Set 3/2

Lavinia Stamps will be appearing on Hochanda TV show casing some of their fabulous range of stamps and accessories on Friday 22nd November 2019 at 10am or 3pm.  Don't forget to pop it on record if you're not able to watch it live.

I am so fortunate to be part of the Lavinia Stamps Design Team.  I joined in January of this year and it still doesn't feel real.  Being part of the team also means I get to play with the new release products before they are released.  This is a card I made for the Hochanda shows.

It's a really simple card, I've only used two stamps "Sirlus" the Pegasus and the "Small Fairy Fir Tree".

I used some hot pink card to stamp Sirlus on, using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.

On the outer edge of the card, I started to stamp the fir tree, first in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist", which is a grey ink, then in the gaps I stamped the same tree to overlap, in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink, this tree stamping formed a frame around the pegasus.

I masked off a circle and used Nocturne around the edge and also to make the landscape behind the pegasus using a torn edge of copy paper.

Lavinia Stamps November 2019 Monthly Challenge "Winter Wonderland"

Every month Lavinia Stamps has a new challenge theme.  For November 2019, the challenge theme is "Winter Wonderland".  If you enter and your name is randomly drawn, you will win £40 of vouchers to spend on lovely Lavinia Goodies.  You will find all the details you need to enter here.

I started by stamping the figure "Zemira" and the wolf "Maka" using Versafine Clair "Morning Mist grey coloured ink.

Using the torn edge of a piece of copy paper, I created the landscape using two shades of Distress Oxide Inks:  Tumbled Glass and Weathered Wood.

I stamped the Lavinia Small Fairy Fir Tree and the Small Fairy Fir Tree 2 stamped in Distress Oxide "Weathered Wood" along the landscape lines.

Using Distress Oxide inks, I created the sky colour.  First using Distress Oxide ink "Milled Lavender" and then "Stormy Sky", edging the card with Distress Oxide Ink "Black Soot"

I then stamped the Lavinia "Tree Scene", "Birds" and the "Once Upon A Dream" sentiment in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" ink.

Using the Distress Oxide Ink "Milled Lavender" I stamped the "Lunar Buds".

I stamped the Lavinia "Snowflakes" using a Memento ink called "London Fog".  I added some clear gems to the landscape and white highlights and dots of snow using a Signo Pen.

Lavinia Stamps "Unicorn" Tag

Today I have used the Lavinia Stamps "Unicorn" stamp. I've had this stamp for a while and have not got round to using it, so thought I would address that today by making a tag.

I had a background from a session a week ago so decided to use that as the base.

I stamped the Lavinia Stamps "Unicorn" in a Versafine Clair ink called "Purple Delight".

I then stamped the trees using Lavinia Stamps "Small Fairy Fir Tree" stamp using a Distress Oxide Ink in the shade of "Evergreen Bough".

I created the water and landscape area using Artza Brush Pens.

I decided that the image of the unicorn looked to solid, using a Uniball Signo Pen in a silver glitter, I coloured the unicorn to add a little extra magic.
