Lavinia Stamps "Dancing Till Dawn" gel plate card

I enjoyed the gel plate technique Eileen Godwin shared on her "Live" last night that I decided to make another card using the same principles.

I used Versafine Clair "Avocado" green ink and a brayer to put a thin base layer of ink on the gel plate.

Then I used two shades of Ranger Archival Inks to stamp the Lavinia Stamps "Berry Leaves" multiple times in first and second generation stamping using "Periwinkle" blue innk and "Paradise Teal" a green coloured ink, direct on to the gel plate.  I then placed a piece of card over the top of the gel plate and took the impression.

Round the top and bottom, I added extra foliage using the Lavinia Stamps "Arctic" blue ink with the "Wild Vines" stamp.

Next, I stamped the Lavinia "Dancing till dawn" ladies, using Versafine Clair "Twilight" dark blue ink.  I used the same ink to stamp the "Vine Branch" at the top of the card, also to ink the edges of the card too.

Using Versafine Clair "Arctic" blue ink and a Lavinia Stamps "Hill Mask" I created the landscape behind the dancing ladies.

I then used a large Lavinia "Moon Mask" with "Rose Madder" Ranger Archival ink to create the impression of the pink dawn sun.  I used the same ink through the Lavinia Stamps "Feather Leaf Stencil" too, within the sun area.

I used a 2B pencil to add shadows and a white and a gold gel pen for highlights.  I used a white and coral coloured Posca Pen for the dots to create the impression of flowers.

Finally, I added the "Have an amazing day" greeting, which is part of the Funky Fossil Designs "Stripped Back Sentiments" stamp set, stamped in Versafine Clair "Twilight" ink.

Lavinia Stamps "Glory Stencil" Sympathy Card

Using the same format as the card I made yesterday, I've made a sympathy card.

I've used the Lavinia Stamps "Glory Stencil" with "Shaded Lilac" Distress Oxide Ink.  I have also used the "Wild Vines" and "Heartfelt Verse" stamps, stamped with Versafine Clair "Purple Delight" ink.

Lavinia Stamps "Just For You" Card

I often have disturbed nights of sleep and tonight was one of those, so I have been up since 2am.  To pass the early hours, I decided to watch one of Karen Telfers video tutorials for a pretty little card.  I switched colours and sentiment about, but other wise, my card is pretty close to hers.

I have used the Lavinia Stamps "Wild Vines", "Heartfelt Verse" sentiment and two mini stamps with the following Versafine Clair inks:  Warm Breeze, Twilight and Charming Pink, on a "Salvaged Patina" Distress Oxide Ink background.  I have also used a yellow Posca Pen for the middle of the flowers and extra random dots.

Day 16 of the "24 Days of Tags Challenge 2021" with Karen Telfer

I'm playing catch up with my tags, as I've been away in the caravan this weekend, so this is the first of three that I need to make to be back on track.

I've used four shades of Distress Oxide Inks for the background:  Squeezed Lemonade, Dried Marigold, Abandoned Coral and Festive Berries.

I spritzed the surface of a Lavinia Stamps stencil called "Foliage" with water, then lay it wet side down, over the tag.  I used a kitchen towel to absorb any surplus water then lifted the stencil, which reveals a bleached look image of the stencil. I then used a heat gun to dry the surface.

Once dry, I stamped the sentiment, by Lavinia Stamps, called "Heartfelt Verse" in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.  I used the same ink to stamp the Lavinia Stamps "Wild Vines" too.

Next, I stamped the hanging hearts, which are part of the Lavinia Stamps "Fairy Charms" stamp set, using Versafine Clair "Glamorous" pink ink.  I then added small white dots on the surface of the background and highlighting areas on the hanging hearts.

Lavinia Stamps "Tree Goddess Luna" Card

Sometimes things happen in life which make you adjust your course of action.  The same things apply to my crafting.  This is a "rescue project".

I had just finished my stamping of the card and was putting the ink pad away, when
it slipped from my hand landing ink pad down on the card I had nearly completed!  Obviously there were a few "choice words" as I mopped up the inky mess on my desk ,where the pad had bounced across my desk, finally resting on my card!

I decided to cut off the main inky section and add a little extra foliage stamping to cover the remaining inky area.  In the end it worked out ok, but not what was in my head originally.

Incidentally, this is the process of making the card before the mishap:

I used "Bundled Sage" then "Mowed Lawn" and finally "Rustic Wilderness" Distress Oxide inks through the Lavinia Stamps "Laurel" stencil for the background.

Using Versafine Clair "Shady Lane" green ink, I stamped the Lavinia "Wild Vines" in first and second generation stamping to provide depth.

I then stamped Lavinia "Tree Goddess Luna" in Versafine Clair 'Nocturne" black ink.  Using the same ink, I added more stamping of the "Wild Vines".  I lightly inked the edges of the card.

I added touches of sparkle using a silver Signo glitter pen and a subtle shimmer using a Sakura gelly roll pen.

Lavinia Stamps July 2019 Monthly Challenge "Midnight Blue With An Orange Hue" #2

Every month, Lavinia Stamps holds a monthly challenge.  The challenge theme for July is "Midnight Blue With An Orange Hue".

This is the second of three pieces that I have made as part of the Lavinia Stamps Design Team to promote this challenge.

I made the first stage of the background for this card some weeks ago.  Using a gelli plate with Colorbox Inks and Brusho paint sprinkled on top.

For the second stage, I used the "Printing With A Stencil" technique, I shared with you a couple of weeks back.  In this instance, I used two shades of ink to make the grid appearance by using Distress Oxide Inks in "Faded Jeans" and "Carved Pumpkin" colours.

Once the Distress Oxide grid was dry, using the Versafine Clair "Twilight" ink, I stamped the Lavinia Stamps "Indian Flourish" feather.  Using the same ink, I stamped the Lavinia Stamps "Wild Vines" around the edge of the card.

I decided that the edges needed to be darker, so I used the Distress Oxide ink in the shade of "Faded Jeans" and then the Versafine Clair ink in the "Twilight" shade to make the very edge of the card darker.

Lavinia Stamps June 2019 Monthly Challenge (sample #3)

Every month, Lavinia Stamps hold a monthly challenge, where the winning name drawn wins £40 of vouchers to spend on lovely Lavinia goodies.

The theme for the month of June 2019 is:  "A Sprinkling Of Fairy Dust"

This is the third sample I have made as part of the Design Team to promote the challenge.

I made a batch of backgrounds using a gelli plate and Brusho inks a few weeks back.  I've used one of these for the base of this card.  Throughout this card, I have used Lavinia Stamps and Versafine Clair ink to stamp with.

I started by stamping the "Foxgloves" in the shade of Monarch Versafine Clair ink.  I then stamped the fairy called "Dust Silhouette" in the same ink.

I then moved on to the "Willow" hanging down, which was stamped in Versafine Clair ink in the colour of "Shady Lane".  I then stamped the "Wild Vines" in Versafine Clair ink in the shade of "Nocturne".

I inked the edge of the card and made a landscape for the fairy to sit on in Versafine Clair "Fantasia" ink.  I added touches of silver glitter to the fairy wings and created the dust droplets using Liquid Pearl droplets.  Finally, I gave the card a very light spritz and flicked on some Brusho "SprinkleIT" in "Iridescent Gold"

Lavinia Stamps May 2019 Monthly Challenge "Make It Bright" #laviniastamps

Another month and another challenge prompt from Lavinia Stamps, where you have a chance of winning £40 of vouchers to spend on their site.

For May 2019 the prompt is "Make It Bright" - so I did!

I used a selection of Distress Oxides for the background:  Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean, Carved Pumpkin, Picked Raspberry and Mermaid Lagoon.

Everything was stamped in various shades of Versafine Clair Ink:  Nocturne, Morning Mist, Tulip Red and Glamorous.

I stamped by stamping the crow "Drake" then added the "Star Burst" for Drake to stand on.  I added the trailing "Willow" and "Wild Vines".  To finish, I added touches of white highlight areas with a Signo Pen and some colour to the Star Burst using Sakura Gelly Roll pens.

The Dusk Garden #laviniastamps

I had a late night play session and created this piece.  The lovely background colours are a mix of several shades of Distress Oxides:  Festive Berries, Candied Apple, Aged Mahogany, Ripe Persimon, Fosilized Amber and Abandoned Coral.

I have used Lavinia Stamps throughout this card.  I started by stamping "Wild Vines" in Versafine "Stormy Grey" ink along the bottom of the card.

Using Versafine "Black Onyx" ink for the rest of the card I stamped the "Nigela Damascena" thistles and the "Fairy Buds" (the tall flowers) then more "Wild Vines" and finally the sentiment/verse called "Embrace Your Dreams".

Finally I added touches of gold using a Signo Pen and touches of gold sparkle using a Sakura Gelly Roll pen and inked the edges in black ink.
