Penny Black "Distinctive 40-831" Cling Stamp card

I've been out and about today, so not really had a proper crafting session, but did make this card using a Penny Black "Distinctive 40-831" cling stamp, stamped in various shades of Memento Inks (Spring Pansy, Lulu Lavender, New Sprout and Pistachio).

Around the edge of the card I have used "Shabby Shutters" Distress Oxide Ink to pull the eye into the card.

I have used the Penny Black clear stamp set for the sentiment called "Not older, better 308-96", stamped in Versafine Clair "Purple Delight" Ink

Lavinia Stamps "Ariel" and a dancing "Moo" Mouse

More Lavinia Stamps today, this time using "Ariel" and "Moo the mouse".

I've used a Brusho background I prepared a while back.  I have used three shades of Versafine Clair Inks:  Warm Breeze, Blue Bell and Twilight to stamp the following list of Lavinia Stamps:

  • Ariel (small)
  • Minnie & Moo
  • Red Pine (small)
  • Foliage Set
  • Fairy Wishes
I have also used Posca Pens and Gel Pens for added highlights

Sweet Poppy Stencil "Maple Leaf" with Lavinia Stamps "Bron" the fairy

Today I received an order from Sweet Poppy Stencils, as I could not resist some of their new release products! It would have been rude not to have an immediate play, so I made this card.

I have used two shades of green Lavinia Elements Inks (Lime Punch and Olive) for the background of the maple leaf which is a Sweet Poppy Stencil SP6-125ML.  Around the edge of the leaf, I have used "Confetti" Elements ink.  While I had the "confetti" ink out, I used another Sweet Poppy Stencil, which is a small maple leaf, adding the detail around the edge of the card.

I then turned to stamping the leaf area.  I used Lavinia Stamps "Bron" the fairy as the main feature.  I also used the following Lavinia Stamps: Small Branch, Gyp, Bubbles, Berry Leaves and Foliage Set.  All stamped in Verafine Clair Inks.

I further stamped the Lavinia Stamps "Maple Leaf" and their "Mini Maple Leaf" around the edge of the card in Versafine Clair "Chianti".  Finally using Liquid Pearls, Posca Pens and gel pens to add extra detail.

Lavinia Stamps heat embossed "Elegance" stencil card

I have continued to play with heat embossing on and off today.  Here's another card from the session.

It's a simple card using the Lavinia Stamps "Elegance" stencil with Wow! Embossing "Sea Mist" Embossing Powder which I've heat set. It has a lovely sheen.

I've used the "Heartfelt Verse" sentiment, staped in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink.

Lavinia Stamps "Heartfelt Verse" heat embossed birthday card

This morning, I have been heat embossing, creating this card. Unfortunately the sparkle doesn't really show very well in the photograph, so I took a little clip of it in the sunshine.

I've used three Lavinia Stamps for this card.  "Heartfelf Verse" for the central sentiment.  In the background I have used two Lavinia pound stamps, the "Mini Orbs" and the "Mini Dots".

I have used Wow! Embossin ink pad and "Rich Gold" embosing powder.  I have also used a Papermania "Enchanted Gold" embossing powder, which gave a little sparkle to the central area of embossing on the blue section.

Lavinia Stamps "Woodland Sprite" on an Eileen Godwin style background

Today I wanted to craft, but my mind wouldn't settle on something to make.  So I turned to the super talented Eileen Godwin for inspiration.  Watching one of her recent "Me To You" Facebook tutorials.  The background of this card, is my take on that tutorial.

To create the background I used four Elements inks:  Russed Orange, Della Blue, Confetti and Sundance with the straight edge of a hill mask and one of the circle/moon masks.

I decided one of the circles would be the moon behind the fairy, so used some white and yellow Pan Pastels to lighten the circle.  I then stamped the Lavinia Stamps "Woodland Sprite" fairy in Versafine Clair "Twilight" ink.

On the left hand side of the card, I used second generation stamping of Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" to stamp the "Faerie Spells" script. I then used "Twilight" again to stamp the "Believe in magic" sentiment.

I used a white gel pen to add highlights to the fairy, then used a mini star stamp to create a twinkle starry look around the fairy, adding touches of "White Opal" Liquid Pearls to the middle of the stars and to create a circle around the moon.

Lavinia Stamps "Indra Moth"

Yesterday I had a card in my head that I wanted to make, however the one I ended up making has little resemblance to the one in my head.  In fact I don't really like it, because it is too dark. I

So many times it has come close to ending up in the bin, but I decided to save and upload it.

I used Confetti Elements ink brayered on to the card, then used another Elements ink called "Violet Chalk" through the Lavinia Stamps "Pebbles" Stencil.

I stamped the Lavinia Stamps "Indra Moth" using Versafine Clair "Fantasia" purple ink, colouring areas with a white Signo Pen.  Over the top of the stencilled area to the right of Indra, I used the Lavinia "Words Of Spring" stamp with Versafine Clair "Charming Pink" ink.

I added splatters of white and black Posca Pen and used "Watering Can" Archival Ink to make the lines in the bottom right corner.  Finally Stamping the "Take Flight" sentiment, which is part of the Lavinia "Let your spirit take flight" stamp, also stamped in Fantasia.
