Paperartsy Kate Crane KCM013 Artist Trading Card

I'm enjoying making these little Artist Trading Cards, it's handy as it uses up some of the small scraps of papers I've saved for that "just in case I need them moment"!

I've used an off-cut of a Funky Fossil Designs patterned paper for the yellow background, stamping the Paperartsy "Kate Crane KCM015" stamp in Versafine Clair "Verdant" lime green ink.  I've then used the Paperartsy "Kate Crane KCM001" stamp with Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" ink.

Next, I tore a section from an old hymn book and covered it with "Mermaid Lagoon" Distress Oxide Ink, then glued the torn section on to the ATC.  I rounded the corners of the card, then edged the card in Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" ink. I then splattered black and white Posca Pen across the surface of the ATC.

Using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink, I stamped the Paperartsy "Kate Crane KCM013" branch stamp.  I then stamped the same image on a piece of white card.  I fussy cut the white leaves and glued them into postion on the ATC.

Finally, I added a Tim Holtz "Idea-ology" word sticker, saying "discover" and added some white dots of Ranger Enamle Accents.

Paperartsy Kate Crane ATC (KSM010)

Today, I received delivery of an order I had placed with Art From the Heart for the lovely and quirky Paperartsy / Kate Crane stamps.  I love the whole design, quite unlike many of my exisiting stamps.

Because I have been using so many blues and greens in my recent makes, I decided to go all out with colour. Covering an ATC (artist trading card), which measures two and a half by three and a half inches with a bright coloured Jane Davenport washi tape.

I then used a black and a white Posca Pen to doodle a rough frame around the edge of the ATC.

On a plain piece of card, using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black Ink, I stamps the Paperartsy/Kate Crane image, it has a reference of KCM010.  I then fussy cut it and glued it on to the ATC.

I coloured the image using Distress Oxide Inks and Posca Pens. Finally adding a Tim Holtz "Idea-ology" word sticker saying "story" to the top left corner.

Paperartsy / Kate Crane Stamp Card

A quick card using a couple of Paperartsy / Kate Crane stamps.

I used Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink to stamp the leaves using the Kate Crane KCM013 stamp.  I then used Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink to stamp the grid in the background, using the Kate Crane KCM014 stamp.

Next in the background I painted daubs of two shades of Distress Oxide Inks.  The colours I used for the background are:  Saltwater Taffy and Old Paper.  Finally, I added some extra dots of black pen around the foliage.

"Deck The Halls" Christmas Card (JOFY107)

A quick play this morning, finishing a card I started a few weeks ago, taking inspiration from a demo I saw by Jo Firth Young. Stamping in the half light I can see that the sentiment is a bit wonky, but hey ho, crafting isn't an exact process and these things happen.  I wasn't going to ditch it after the work put in to create the background!

I've used PaperArtsy Fresco Finish paints in Snowflake, Carbbean Sea and Jade for the background colour.

The sentiment is a stamp by PaperArtsy JOFY - ref 107 (Jo Firth Young).  I've stamped in Wow! Clear embossing ink and then coated in Wow! Rich Gold embossing powder and heat set.  I have used a gold metallic pen for the drawn edge border.

Vintage multi-stamp card (Crafty Individuals and others)

Last night I wanted to make something totally different, and work out of my comfort zone, to what I've been doing recently, so pulled out some of my older stamps and played with a gelli plate background made of Colorbox Inks and wet Brusho paint tapped onto the plate using a fan brush.

I'd seen a video of Tracey Evans using Versamark through a stencil, I added clear embossing powder and then heated (this produces the discs of lighter colour across the card) so decided to try that technique out, which worked really well.  Certainly something I wouldn't have thought about doing myself.

Over the top of the surface, I used a blending tool with the "Ripe Persimmon" Distress Oxide Ink. Then the "Crushed Olive, then around the edges the "Forest Moss" Distress Oxide Ink.

I put "Forest Moss" Distress Oxide Ink though a diamond stencil in two corners of the card.  Using a clear stamp with text, I stamped the image )unfortunately, I don't have a clue who made the stamp to credit them) using Versafine "Olympia Green" shade of ink.

I used Crafty Individual ferns from their CI-207 set.  The circle numbers and the image on the bottom left of the card are stamps by Paperartsy.  I don't recall where the circular face stamp came from as I've had it for years.  All of these images were stamped in Versafine "Olympia Green" shade of ink,

I stamped the Crafty Individuals CI-519 in Versafine Clair ink in the shade of "Chianti" on an off cut of white card.  I then coloured it with my Arteza Brush Pens and a metallic gold pen.  I then cut around the image and adhered into position.

Butterfly Life (Tim Holtz style) Tag

I'm up early, once again I couldn't sleep with my mind throwing thoughts about, so decided to get up and create.

This tag started off with a background of green, grey and yellow Tim Holtz Distress Inks.

I used a Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous "Butterfly Melange - THJ002" stamp for the central section of the tag.  I used a music score from the same stamp set in a couple of areas too.

I then used a couple of stamps from the Stampin' Up "Gorgeous Grunge" set to create red and dark grey splatters across the surface of the tag. Using a seaweed/coral stamp from Stampin' Up "By The Tide" set, I stamped at the bottom and on the top left hand side.  I used a Paperartsy "Life" word stamp in that corner too.

Finally, I gently inked red areas, drifting across the tag from edge to edge.  I used black ink to darken the edges of the tag too.

P.S.  The little dome things I've added to the surface, are actually things to put underneath ornament type items to stop them scratching your surfaces.  They're self adhesive and can be purchased very cheaply from hardward stores.  I got mine in Wilko.
