Lavinia Stamps "Botanical Blossoms" Tag

My order of the new stamp release from Lavinia Stamps arrived early afternoon, so I wasted no time in getting to play with my favourite stamp from the new release, the "Botanical Blossoms".

I cut a piece of kraft card in to a tag shape, then using Versafine Clair "Twilight" dark blue ink, stamped the new "Botanical Blossom" stamp, coating the stamped image with Wow! Clear Embossing Powder and then heat setting.

Next I used "Paradise Teal" Ranger Archival Ink through the "Lavinia Stamps "Nimbus Stencil" fading the colour out towards the edges.

I then used Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink to stamp "Words of Spring" in second generation stamping.  I then inked the edges of the tag with Versafine Clair "Twilight" ink.

Finally, I made splatters with a white Posca Pen around the edges of the stamping.  I used a white gel pen to add a little detail to the stamped image and then mounted the tag on to a piece of dark blue card.

Lavinia Stamps "Crow on a branch" card (Inspired by Eileen Godwin)

I was inspired by a background Eileen Godwin created and attempted to create one similar.  I didn't have the same brushes, so used the thin edge of a wedged make up sponge, it didn't provide the hard edge I was looking for, but gave a softer look over all.

I used Archival Inks, Distress Inks and Versafine Clair inks with three Lavinia Stamps: Words of Spring, Tree Branch and Crow Set.

Lavinia Stamps "Jaylar" and the "Small Frog" Card

More Lavinia Stamps play for me today, making this card, featuring the fairy "Jaylar" with the "Small Frog".  I have used one of the "Large Moulted Wings" to create the rock in the pool fo r the fairy and frog to stand on.

I stamped the rock (Large Mouted Wing) in Versafine Clair "Acorn" Ink.  I then stamped the fairy "Jaylar", in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" ink.  Finally, I stamped the "Small Frog" in two shades of Versfine Clair "Verdant" and "Green Oasis" inks.

I then created the background colour, using various shades of Distress Oxide Inks.  I then stamped the "Meadow Grass" in Versafine Clair "Shady Lane" green ink and the "Lily Pads" in Versafine Clair "Green Oasis". I then stamped the "Words of Spring" in Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" ink.

I used Derwent Inktense pencils, Posca Pens, a pencil and Gel Pens to colour the image.

Lavinia Stamps "Rue" Birthday Card

This morning I have been in Lavinia mode, making this birthday card.  It has lots of sparkle, which unfortunately the photograph doesn't really pick up very well, so I've made a little video clip of it too.

To start this card, I used "Picked Raspberry" and "Seedless Preserve" Distress Oxide inks through a Lavinia Stamps stencil, called "Pods".  Making it darker at the base and fading out at the top.

I repeat stamped Lavinia "Words of Spring" stamped in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink around the edges.  I deliberately made it light, by second generation stamping, as I didn't want it to be too bold, wanting it to remain in the background, but filling a space all the same.

I used Versafine Clair "Charming Pink" ink to stamp the Lavinia "Luna Lights" suspended from the top of the card.

Next I stamped the Lavinina fairy called "Rue" and the "Spanish Moss" dangling from the top of the card, in Versafine Clair "Purple Delight".  Using the same ink, I stamped the Lavinia "Vine" at the bottom left of the card.

The sentiment is also stamped in "Purple Delight" and is part of a Personal Impressions stamp set called "Double Sayings".

I then moved on to adding extra detail using a white and a silver glitter Signo Pen and a gold Sakura gel pen.  I used assorted shades of liquid pearls and added some "Crystal" stickles for extra glitter.

Lavinia Stamps New Stamp Release (January 2020 ) Luna Lights and Words of Spring

Here is another sample I have produced for Lavinia Stamps.  I've used two of the new stamps to create this tag - Luna Lights and Words of Spring.

I started by using three shades of Distress Oxide Inks (Tumbled Glass, Twisted Citron and Squeezed Lemonade" swooshed over a white tag to create the mottled coloured background.

I multiple stamped the "Words of Spring" stamp, using Versafine Clair "Shady Lane" green ink.  I inked the edges of the tag in the same ink.

I multiple stamped the "Luna Lights" image using Versafine Clair "Summertime" orange shade of ink.

Finally, I mounted the tag onto some green card to match the green ink and added a decorative ribbon

Lavinia Stamps New Stamp Release Sample Preview (January 2020) Words of Spring and Mystic Swirl

Lavinia Stamps is always busy.  This week especially so, as there are thirteen new stamps due to be released.  The stamps will be available to purchase from their site from Monday 27th January 2020.

I made this card using three of the new stamps "Words of Spring" and "Vine Flourish" both stamped in Versafine Clair "Shady Lane" dark green ink and "Mystic Swirl" stamped in Versafine Clair "Verdant" light green coloured ink.  For this card, I also added touches of copper using a "copper" Liquid Pearl.
