Lavinia Stamps "Gaggle of Geese" on a Brusho background

I've had a few days away in the caravan, so while the third load of washing is in the machine, doing its thing, I thought I would have a play with my Lavinia Stamps.

I found a small off cut of a Brusho background from a previous project.  I stamped the Lavinia Stamps "Gaggle of Geese" and the "Just for you" sentiment (part of the Heartfelt Verse stamp set) in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.

I used "Warm Breeze" Versafine Clair ink around a moon mask and also around the edge of the inner area.  Using a black pastel pencil, I created a reflection of the bank the geese stand on.

For the border, I used "Spiced Marmalade" Distress Oxide Inks through the Lavinia Stamps "Abstract" stencil/mask, then added splatters of the same ink.

Today, I've played with one of my older Lavinia Stamps, the "Gaggle of Geese", which seems to have been in my stamp stash for years.

I used Lavinia "Elements Inks" brayered on to the card base for the background colours. I used the following shades:  Sundance, Russet Orange, Confetti, Paprika and Olive.  I also added a touch of "Wilted Violet" Distress Oxide Ink to the top of the card.

I have stamped in four shades of Versafine Clair Inks:  Pinecone, Shady Lane, Morning Mist and Nocturne.  Using the following Lavinina Stamps:

• Elm
• Birch
• Tree Scene
• Stones
• Silhouette Grass
• Small Branch
• Gip
• Ducks
• Heartfelt Verse

I also used Derwent Inktense Pencils, Posca Pens and Gell Roll Pens.

Lavinia Stamps August 2019 Monthly Challenge - "Create Your Own Dream" (Gaggle of Geese)

On the first of each month, Lavinia Stamps has a new challenge theme.  The theme for August 2019 is "Create Your Own Dream".  If you enter and your name is randomly drawn, you will receive £40 vouchers to spend on fabulous Lavinia goodies.  The closing date is the 25th August, so you still have plenty of time to get creating.

This is my third Design Team sample for the August theme.  For my card, I started by masking a circle area (for the sun) and colouring it in three shades of Distress Oxide Inks:  Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed and Dried Marigold.

I then moved on to the green landscape area, again using Distress Oxide Inks in the following shades:  Twisted Citron, Crushed Olive and Peeled Paint using them along side the edge of a torn piece of card to create the grassy hillside.

I popped a circle mask over the coloured sun area then coloured the sky using a Distess Oxide called "Tumbled Glass" which is a beautiful pale blue.  I then used a stencil (Creative Expressions / Aran Piping) with another Distress Oxide called "Salty Ocean" to give a bit of detail to the sky suggesting wind.

I was now ready to stamp the main images, all of which are stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink.  I started by stamping the "Gaggle of Geese" then the "Fairy Dandelions".  Next I stamped the "Butterflies" then the "Meadow Grass".

I stamped the word "Dream" which is part of a set of word stamps called "Inspire Me".  The top left corner looked a little empty, so I decided to use the "Willow" to fill the area.  Finally, I stamped the little mouse in the bottom right corner.  He is part of a set called "Three Woodland Mice".

Lavinia Stamps - Sunset Geese

This month, I seem to be on a roll with my creative makes.  This card is my 5th and final entry into the Lavinia Stamps monthly Creativity Challenge for June on a theme of "Sunset Pinks".  You can see all the entries by clicking on this link.

I used a brayer to apply Distress Oxide Inks.  I then stamped the "Seasonal Tree" on the right hand side of the card and mirror image stamped the tree to the left by using a piece of acetate.  I then stamped the geese.

I used Distress Inks, Promarkers and Signo pen to add shading and high-lighted areas.
