52 Week Mini Art Card / Tag Challenge 2025 - Week 12

The Crafting Niche 52 Week Mini Art Card/Tag Challenge 2025:

This is a weekly challenge. I provide you with a prompt/theme each Sunday morning through out the year.  The challenge is very relaxed.  You can do as much or as little as you like.  You can create cards, tags, Artist Trading Cards (ATC's) or index cards, the choice is yours. You just go with what ever is in your head at the time.  You can stamp, get inky, use patterned papers, texture, embellish it is all down to you.

There is a dedicated private Facebook Group, with a lovely bunch of people who are already sharing their makes from previous challenges.  You can find the group by clicking this link.  I'd love you to join in.

The prompt for Week 12 is "Food"

This is the first tag for this year, I have made in the caravan, so with minimal supplies to hand, I apologise if it isn't up to my normal standard.

I peeled a label off a tin of baked beans, cut it into sections and covered and glued to a tag.  Around the edge of the tag, I used Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink to darken the area.  Using a black pen I wrote around the edge of the tag, saying Always in my kitchen cupboards, no other brand will do,  I like my beans on toast with grated cheese"?

I mounted the tag on to a piece of black card and then added white polka dots of Posca Pen across the surface of the tag.

Day 17 of Karen Telfers "24 Days of Tags 2022"

This is my Day 17 tag for Karen Telfer's "24 Days of Tags 2022" challenge.  If you would like to see Karens demo of her Day 17 tag, you can find it here.  This tag has a theme of "Reflections".

For my tag, I used the Lavinia Stamps "Fip" fairy figure, stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink and coloured with Van Goch Pastel pencils.  Around the edge of the tag, I have used a blending brush with "Tumbled Glass" Distress Oxide Ink.

Day 14 of "24 Days of Tags 2022" with Karen Telfer

This is my Day 14 tag of the "24 Days of Christmas 2022" with Karen Telfer.  Here is Karen's tutorial for Day 14 if you want to join in.

Once again, I have loosely followed Karen's instructions, using the same ink colours of Blue Prink Sketch and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Inks.  Stamping the figure in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink and the star in Versafine Clair "Cheerful" yellow ink.  I have stamped the words in third generation Versafine Clair "Twilight" dark blue ink.

I've used three Lavinia Stamps for this tag, "Rory" from the "Rory and Darcy" stamp set, the "Mini North Star" and the "Christmas Words" stamp.  I also added some "Waterfall" stickles to the wings of Rory.
