Lavinia Stamps "Floral Wreath" Bookmark

I've been away in the caravan this past week, so there's been no crafting.  Instead lovely long autumnal walks.  Enjoying, the sometimes bracing weather with fresh air and mud!  We came home yesterday and the washing machine has been very busy since.

Last night I had the urge to craft, so made myself a book mark using Lavinia Stamps.  I used the new Lavinia "Floral Wreath" stamped in two shades of Versafine Clair ink.  "Morning Mist for the lighter colour and "Medieval Blue" for the darker colour, I also used this shade to ink the edges.

To colour the garland, I used one of the new Lavinia Element inks called "Blue Lagoon", diluted with water and applied with a brush.

I used the Lavinia Stamps sentiment called "Once upon a dream" for the words, stamped in Versafine Clair, "Medieval Blue" ink. I coated some of the berries with Ranger "Glossy Accents" and left to dry over night.

I then used a Stix2 PVC Bookmark sleeve to protect the art work, while in use.

Funky Fossil Designs new stamp launch "Whimsy Town" bookmark

Today, Funky Fossil Designs launch five fabulous new stamp sets.  I've used the new "Whimsy Town" for this book mark sample.

The "Whimsy Town" stamp set is designed by Donna Gray and has a great selection of quirky buildings, ideal for so many projects.

To make this book mark, I cut a piece of card to size and started with the sky, using "Tumbled Glass" Distress Oxide Ink with the Funky Fossil "In The Clouds" stencil.

I used the torn edge of copy paper to create the landscape with "Twisted Citron" and "Mowed Lawn" Distress Oxide Inks.

I then stamped the image of the house/tree in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.  I stamped the image again on white card and coloured it with Posca Pens.  I then fussy cut the shape and adhered over the stamped image on the tag.

I used a Stix2anything PVC Bookmark cover to protect the image, punched a hole in the top and added ribbon.
