Week 24 - 52 Week Mini Art Card/Tag Challenge 2017

Just a reminder that this is a weekly challenge, where I will provide a prompt on Sunday evening/Monday mornings.  It's up to you how you interpret the prompt.  You can do as much or as little as you like.  Obviously, if you are taking part, I would love to see your creations.

The prompt for Week 24 is "Blues & Greens".

Shades of blues and greens are my absolute favourite.  I used a blended Panpastel background.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up "High Tide", the stamped design used Stmapin' Up "Paisley & Posies set.  I then die cut a wreath using Memorybox "Tupelo Circle" in two shades, using it to circle the sentiment.  I inked the edges of the tag and added some self adhesive gems.

Have a great week.

Thankful, Grateful & Blessed Card (Stampin' Up)

I had half an hour to play with paper this morning while I waited for the washing machine to finish its thing, so I made this card.

I had already cut the intricate background for the sentiment using a Creative Expressions Die (Ref CED9105).  I then stamped the sentiment using Stampin' Up Paisleys and Posies stamp.  The blue background was embossed with dots using a Crafter's Companion "Scattered Dots" embossing folder.

Get Well Soon (Paisley & Posies) Card

I made this card using a Memento Ink Pad in "Paris Dusk" shade stamped using the Stampin' Up Paisleys & Posies" stamp set to create the patterned background.  The sentiment was made using a Spellbinder "Jubilee Tags" die set.

Thank You For Your Generosity Tag

Playing with the Stampin' Up "Paisleys & Posies" stamp set, for this tag I opted to use the circular designs rather than the paisley.  I stamped the circles in Memento "Rich Cocoa" colour.  Colouring in areas with a Promarker in a "Gold" shade.

I then used a Papertrey Ink sentiment from their "Signature Greetings" set and die cut a scalloped edge oval shape using a Spellbinder die.

The circular designs and the colourway I have chosen remind me of some kitchen tiles from the 70's.

Sending Good Thoughts Card

My good friend has been poorly the last week or so and it came to a head last night, so she is now waiting to be seen in A&E.  With her in mind I made this card.

This is one of the pre-prepared backgrounds from a couple of nights ago.  I used the Stampin' up Paisleys & Posies stamp set, stamped in Memento Ink "Grape Jelly".  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up "Perfect Pennants" and is stamped in the same colour.

I die cut the sentiment using the Stampin' up "Banner Framelits dies".  The green foliage was die cut using the Stampin' up "Botanical Builders" dies.

I didn't have flowers of the correct shade so I used Promarkers (Royal Purple, Amethyst & Orchid colours) to shade some cream coloured flowers.  I kept them together by using a small brad.
