Lavinia Stamps "Celeste" Fairy Card

Another card i've made this morning, again using Lavinia Stamps, this time using "Celeste" as the main focal point.  I have stamped her in Versafine Clair "Medieval Blue" and then coated in Wow! clear embossing powder and heat set.

I then used the Lavinia Stamps "Tall Leaf Mask" with three shades of Distress Oxide Inks (Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet).

I then stamped the "See a fairy, make a wish" verse on the left hand side, using Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" in second generation stamping.

Next, I stamped the stars around "Celeste" using the Lavinia "Star Cluster" stamp with Versafine Clair "Medieval Blue" ink.  I used the same ink to stamp the Lavinia sentiment which is part of the "Heartfelt Verse" set.  Finally, I added some silver and gold sparkle using Gelly Roll Pens.

Lavinia Stamps January 2020 Monthly Challenge - Moonlight Magic

Well here we are on the 1st January 2020.  I hope you have had a wonderful Christmas and are ready to face the new year.

As it is the first of the month, it is time to introduce you to one of my makes for the Lavinia Stamps challenge.  The theme for the monthly challenge for January Is "Midnight Magic".

I created the coloured background using Distress Inks in the following shades:  Wilted Violet, Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers.  Using a paint brush, I created some swirls (in the top left and bottom right corners) using the same colours.

I masked the moon off and edged it with a grey ink.  I then used two shades of Distress Oxide Inks (Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire) to darken the sky, leaving a halo around the moon.

Using the "Lavinia Fern Heads (Singles)", I curved the stems of the stamp and multiple stamped the image using Versafine Clair "Fantasia" purple ink.

In the bottom right hand corner, I multiple stamped the "Lavinia Berry Wreath" in Versafine Clair "Blue Belle" ink.

I next stamped the "Willow" in Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" ink.

I used a stamp that I got free with a magazine to stamp the air bubbles in the background in Memento "London Fog" grey ink.

I then stamped the main fairy figure.  I like to think that the way her hair is that she is underwater, which is why I chose this fairy for the central image.  This Lavinia fairy is called "Celeste".  I have stamped her in another Versafine Clair Ink, this one is called "Twilight" and is a very dark blue.

Once all the stamping was complete, I needed to attempt to replicate foam on top of the water and also air bubbles, so I used a white Posca Pen and a silver glitter Signo Pen.  I also used the silver glitter Signo Pen to glitter the fairy wings.

I added white highlights to the fairy and to the fern fonds using a white Signo Pen.

Lavinia Stamps November 2019 Hochanda TV Preview - Set 1/2

Lavinia Stamps will be on Hochanda TV with some fabulous stamps and accessories on Friday 22nd November 2019 at 10am and 3pm.

I am very fortunate to be part of the Lavinia Stamps Design Team which means I get to play with the new stamps before they are released to the public.  This is one of the cards I made to promote the show.

For this card I started by covering a plain white piece of card with "Antique Linen" Distress Oxide Inks, creating a mottled/aged style background.

I stamped the fairy called "Celeste" first, using Versafine Clair "Monarch" purple coloured ink.  Using the same ink, I stamped the "Faerie Spells" sentiment.

I then created the foliage swag.  First I stamped the "Fir Tree Branch" in Versafine Clair "Shady Lane" green ink.  I added the "Pound Stamp - Holly", stamped in Versafine Clair "Rain Forest" dark green coloured ink.  I stamped the "Pound Stamp - Berries" using a Memento Ink called "Rhubarb Stalk".

Finally, I stamped some pound stamp stars across the card using a Brilliance Ink called "Galaxy Gold".  I added some white highlights to various areas of the card.

Once the card was fully dry, I positioned the letter dies across the image, securing with a low tack tape before running through the big shot machine.

I removed the letters from the image and turned the card upside down, so that the base of the card was showing.  I adhered some red paper over the word area.  I then mounted the card on a dark red coloured card and then onto a cream base.

Flipping the card with the right side upright, I cut foam pads and stuck them onto the base of the letters.  I then positioned them over the red letter shape.  This gives a raised look to the word "Peace" and you get a little glimpse of the red to add interest too.

Lavinia Stamps November 2019 Hochanda TV Preview - Set 1/1

I am so excited, Lavinia Stamps will be on Hochanda TV with some fabulous stamp sets and other stamping accessories on Friday 22nd November 2019 at 10am and 3pm.

I am very aware of how fortunate I am to be part of the fabulous Lavinia Stamps Design Team, especially as I get to play with the new release stamps before they go on general release.

The background of this card is created using a gelli plate, with Brusho paint on a Colorbox Ink brayered base.

I used Versafine Clair "Monarch" purple shade of ink to stamp "Celeste" the fairy, Faerie Spells (sentiment) and the "Fir Tree Branch".

I used "Dusty Concord" Distress Oxide Inks around the edge of the card.  I used Lavinia Stamps "Moon Dust" on the fairy wings and added dots of "White Opal" Liquid Pearls across the card.  Finally, I added high-lights using a white Signo Pen.
