Funky Fossil "Zen Mandala Die Set" Serenity Card

Here's another make using the fabulous new Funky Fossil "Zen Mandala Die Set". 

For the base of this card, I have used a patterned background paper from the Funky Fossil "Let It Snot" 6x6" paper pack.

I heat embossed the sitting meditating figure, from the Funky Fossil "Serenity" stamp set, using Wow! Blueberry from the earthtone collection.  I then stamped the sentiment from the same set, using Versafine Clair "Blue Belle" ink.

Using a dark red cardstock, I used the central section of the "Zen Madala  die set" to cut the shapes on my Sizzix Big Shot machine.  I then adhered the shapes into postion on the card.

Finally, I used a gold glitter Signo Pen to add little touches of gold around the edge of the card and also some little speckles of interest to the background, before mounting the card onto a matching red background and then on to a cream coloured base.

Funky Fossil "Zen Mandala Die" Card

Here's another make using the fabulous Funky Fossil "Zen Mandala Die Set". 

I used a background I had created a while back using Dylusion Spray inks.  I remember I wanted to create the illusion of heat, so opted for yellows, orange and red shades using Lemon Zest, Squezed Orange and Post Box Red.

I took a piece of black card, scored and folded in half then opened the card flat on the base of my Big Shot die cutting platform.  I then positioned the dies where I wanted them to be and ran it through the machine. Retaining all the major cut pieces.

I cut the brightly inked piece of card to a fraction smaller than half of the black card and adhered into position.  I then glued the central pieces into position through the front of the card (onto the coloured background).  

Finally, using the Funky Fossil "Small Print" stamp set, I stamped the "Miss You" sentiment in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.

Funky Fossil "Zen Mandala Die Set" and "Musings" Tag

 

I've been playing with the Funky Fossil "Zen Mandala" die set again to create this tag.

I used a background created on  the gelli plate using PaperArtsy acrylic chalk paints in three shades (Elephant, Lake Waneka and Caribbean Sea).

I used the middle size "Zen Mandala die" to cut the shapes off the edge of the tag.

On a piece of white card, I multi stamped the script text from the Funky Fossil "Musings" Stamp set in Brilliance "Cosmic Copper" ink.  I then adhered the tag over the top of the white card so that the stamping shows through the die cut area.

Using the same "Musings" stamp set, I stamped the words and circles, uisng Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" ink.

I then used a copper coloured acrylic paint to roughly edge the tag and to add splatters cross the surface. I then added white splatters using a white Posca Pen.

I hope you've been having a good weekend, I've been having a play with a new product from Funky Fossil Designs.  A three piece die set called "Zen Madala" 

For the background, I have used the Funky Fossil "Circle Lattice Stencil" with "Worn Lipstick" Distress Oxide Inks.

I used the "Zen Mandala" dies in my "Big Shot" using both black and white card, sticking and layering the dies on top of each other.  Some are layered with foam pads to provide dimension, others flat.
