A couple of Artist Trading Cards

In an attempt to tidy my work desk, I decided to use some of the left over bits and bobs from previous craft projects that had been floating around for a while.

I found a piece of a gel plate project that I had made, using Pan Pastels and a Funky Fossil Designs stencil called "Lots of Pips" which I used for the background of both of these ATCs.

For the top ATC, I used some die cuts that I'd cut months ago, using the Funky Fossil "Quirky Tree Dies" and the "Hello" Die.

For the bottom  ATC, I used the Funky Fossil "Weird Fish" stamp set for the fish, stamped onto an off cut of one of their patterned papers from the Kaleidescope pad.  I used the Funky Fossil A7 "Lots of Hearts" stamp and the "Love &" stamp set, stamped in Versafine Clair "Charming Pink" ink.

Funky Fossil Bokeh Tag

This evening, I had an urge to make a tag, deciding to use Funky Fossil Designs products throughout. 

I used the Funky Fossil "Bokeh Builder" stencil to create the coloured discs in the background, using Wild Honey, Peeled Paint and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Inks through the stencil.

I then used the Funky Fossil "Burlap Texture" stencil with "Pumice Stone Distress Oxide ink at the top and the bottom of the tag.

Next, using Versfine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink, I multi stamped the text which is from the Funky Fossil "Musings" stamp set.

I stuck some of the Funky Fossil "Quirky Tree die" cut shapes on to the tag.

Next I used a sentiment from the Funky Fossil "Lotus Reflections" stamp set, stamping on a plain piece of card using Versafine Clair "Twilight" dark blue ink, cutting to size and adhering into postion.

I then used "Faded Jeans" Distress Oxide Ink to colour the edges of the tag, finally adding some of the Funky Fossil "enamel dots" to embellish the tag.

Funky Fossil Designs are releasing some fabulous new stamps tomorrow, they will be available on their site and also on "The Craft Store" (previously branded Hochanda) at 5pm and 9pm (Friday 4th June 2021).

This is a sample I made using one of the new sets, called "Weird Fish".  It really is a fab set to use and I really enjoyed playing with it.

For my sample, I used a page from an old book for the background, covering it randomly with "Salvaged Patina", "Twisted Citron" and "Mowed Lawn" Distress Oxide inks.

I used one of the new A7 Chevrons stamp with Versafine Clair "Verdant" green ink and then positioned various strips of Funky Fossil Washi Tape horizontally.

Next, I used Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink, through the Funky Fossil "Make Your Mark III" stencil in a vertical direction.

I die cut some of the Funky Fossil "Quirky Trees" using their layering dies and adhered into position.

Next I stamped the "Weird Fish" using Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" ink and painted them with "Carved Pumpkin" Distress Oxide ink.

I added "Glossy Accents" to various areas of the card for the eyes and the sea bubbles.

Funky Fossil Designs "Quirky Trees Die" Release Day

The day has arrived when lots of new lovely products that I have been previewing over the past week are available to purchase on the Funky Fossil Designs web site. 

For this sample I have used a sheet of patterned paper from the new "Kaleidescope" paper pack, paired with the Funky Fossil "Thank you sentiment die" and a section of one of the "Quirky Tree Dies.

Here's sample #4 using the Funky Fossil Designs "Quirky Trees Die Set", which I have paired with the new Funky Fossil Designs "Forest Friends" stamp set.  Both these and other goodies will be available to purchase from this Friday 14th May 2021.

I die cut the trees in two shades of grey.  I then stamped the Hare from the "Forest Friends" stamp set with Versafine Clair "Glamorous" pink ink and then cut around the edge.  On a piece of white card, I used the Funky Fossil "Blending Brush" to apply "Picked Raspberry" Distress Oxide Ink through the Funky Fossil "Magical Dragonflies stencil".

I then adhered the trees and the hare in to position then stamped the "Hello Friend" sentiment, part of the "Forest Friends Stamp set" using the same ink as the hare.

Here's another sample using the new fabulous Funky Fossil Designs "Kaleidescope" patterned paper, several  of their stamp sets (Doodle Borders, Musings, Abstractions and Small Print). All stamped in Versafine Clair "Warm Breeeze" ink.

I have also used the new Funky Fossil Designs "Doodle Daisies Stencil", designed by Zinski Art with a pink stencil paste.  Finally, I added die cut trees from the new Funky Fossil die set called "Quirky Tree Die" in white card.

Here's another card I made using the new Funky Fossil Die set called "Quirky Trees", which will be available to purchase from this Friday, 14th Mqy 2021.

I have teamed the die cut papers with two layers of Washi Tape, also new on Friday.  I've used the Funky Fossil "Micro Dots Stencil" below the washi tape with "Seedless Preserve" Distress Oxide Ink. The stamped sentiment is from the Funky Fossil Small Print #2 stamp set, stamped in Versafine Clair "Purple Delight".

Funky Fossil Designs "Quirky Tree Dies" Preview

Funky Fossil Designs are releasing lots of lovely new products on their web site, this Friday 14th May 2021.  I've used the new "Quirky Layering Tree Dies" to make this really quick card.

I used a sheet of patterned paper from the Funky Fossil "In to the blue" paper pack for the background.  Die cut the moon from glitter paper and then the three trees from white card.  I used the torn edge of the same white card and adhered on to the blue background, then adhered the trees.  I added the "Silent Night" sentiment which is part of the Funky Fossil "Festive Phrases" stamp set, stamped in Versafine Clair "Paradise" blue ink.  Finally I added snowflakes with a white Posca Pen and a touch of glitter.
