Funky Fossil Designs New Stamp Preview - Geo Bugs

This Saturday, 27th June at 9am Funky Fossil Designs will be launching five fabulous new stamp sets.  Funky Fossil will also be on Hochanda TV the same day at 3pm with a selection of lovely goodies.  Don't forget to tune in or set your planner.

For this sample, I have used the brand new stamp set called "Geo Bugs".

I started by masking off the bulb area using the Funky Fossil "Lightbulb Aperture" stencil and covering the area around the bulb with "Antique Linen" Distress Oxide Ink.  I then layered the Funky Fossil "Sunray" stencil over the bulb area and secured with low tack tape.  I filled the exposed rays with "Mustard Seed" and "Wild Honey" Distress Oxide Inks.

I lifted off the two stencils and swapped for the exterior part of the lightbulb stencil, filling the bulb area with three shades of blended Distress Oxide inks:  Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed and Wild Honey.  For the metal screw area of the bulb, I used "Weathered Wood" Distress Oxide Innk and Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink.

I stamped each moth twice, in the position on the card and also on plain white card.  I head embossed the moth images on the white card and then coloured the moths with Signo and Sakura pens.  I then fussy cut the moths and adhered over the images stamped on the card base.

Finally, I added sentiments stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink and outlined the light bulb using a white Posca Pen.

Lavinia Stamps "Don't Let Life Dull Your Sparkle"

I am aware that some of my friends and no doubt lots of other people are struggling with the present "Lockdown", becoming stressed and emotional about the whole situation.

I've made this card for nobody specifically, but really for anybody who is in need at the moment.  I think the sentiment says it all "Don't let life dull your sparkle".

I used a Funky Fossil stencil called "Light Bulb Aperture/Mask", coloured with three shades of yellow Distress Oxide inks.

For the stamping I used a selection of Lavinia Stamps.  I started by stamping the "Single Skeleton Tree" stamped in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink.

I used fairies from two Lavinia stamp sets "Fairy Foragers" and "Three Dancing Fairies", stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.  I used the "Sparkle" sentiment, also stamped in Nocturne.

I gave the fairies some added sparkle using a Sakura gelli roll pen.
